Astrology Forecast and Horoscopes for Week of May 17, 2021 – May 23, 2021

Astrology Forecast:

This week’s astrology forecast has the Sun moving into airy Gemini. Gemini is the season of the social butterfly, so our focus shifts from the physical world of money, individual values, and resources to social activities, ideas, and mingling with others. While the Sun is in the sign of the twins, expect insightful conversations, the sharing of ideas and concepts, and the need to learn new things that keep the mind stimulated and refreshed. Since Gemini has to do with the mind, the thing to be cautious of is mental constructs that may limit and curtail personal growth. Stay focused on the positive and the future, rather than ruminating on the past.

Saturn Retrograde:

In other astrological news, Saturn turns retrograde in Aquarius. Saturn is the planet of responsibility and discipline. He reflects what we do when we are ‘adulting’ — you know, that minor issue of taking care of business.  Saturn also reflects the planetary parental overlord that governs us, teaches us lessons, and rewards us for a job well done.

In astrology, when a planet is retrograde, it weakens the planets ability to function efficiently. In transformational astrology, retrograde planets operate on the inner level rather than experienced in the outer world. So, essentially, Saturn turning retrograde reflects a four-and-a-half-month period where we need to look at our lives and discover what needs structure and discipline. Often this is painfully obvious, because ‘daddy’ Saturn doesn’t step in and restrict us as usual, but instead lets us fall on our face so that we can discover ways in which we can learn lessons the hard way. Furthermore, it’s probably best when problems occur we handle them when they arise, because they become progressively more challenging if we ignore them.

Mercury square Neptune:

Finally, on Saturday, Mercury forms a challenging square to Neptune in Pisces. Mercury square Neptune is a highly confusing aspect.  You need to be cautious of what you say, and be as clear and concise as possible.  If an opportunity seems too good to be true, then it probably is. Check and recheck everything before making a firm decision.

Ordinarily, Mercury square Neptune only affects us for a few days, but with Mercury’s retrograde motion that begins next week, this aspect will be in orb for a while. Proceed with caution!

Now, on with the weekly horoscopes…

Sign Breakdowns:

Aries

This week, the Sun, Mercury, and Venus move through your solar 3rd house, giving you plenty to talk about and a need to share ideas and information with others. Opportunities to learn something new that helps you achieve your goals may occur midweek. However, this weekend pay close attention to what people say; someone may not be telling the truth.

Taurus

This week, the Sun moves into your solar second house, and you couldn’t be happier because your mind will be on your favorite subject – money!  Conversations about improving your financial standing may occur midweek when Venus trines Saturn in your solar 10th house.  However, avoid signing contracts or becoming overly obligated until after Mercury turns direct in the middle of June.

Gemini

At long last, it’s your season and time to shine, so spread those social butterfly wings and fly.  This week, conversations with others will help you understand yourself on a deeper level.  Also, new opportunities may be presented towards the end of the week that help you level up.  Stay focused on your goals!

Cancer

Conserve your energy this week because the Sun is moving into your solar 12th house, leaving you feeling burnt out and exhausted. Try to get as much rest as possible to recharge your batteries, so you have an ample amount of energy to use when needed. Resolution of unresolved financial matters may need to be your focus at the end of the week before they become too stressful to manage.

Leo

The week begins with a focus on work-related matters. Opportunities to take your career to the next level will come through friends and associates that see your true potential.  Avoid getting involved with other people’s financial issues because their situation may not be as bad as they portray it to be.  You may need to say no when pressured.

Virgo

People that do not understand your grand vision may question your motives, especially in career-related matters.  The good news is that despite the Negative Nancy’s barking at your workplace, positive financial news will arrive midweek that puts your self-doubts to rest.  There may be a wolf in sheep’s clothing around you; try to root out the culprit as quickly as possible.

Libra

This week begins with a beneficial aspect between the Sun and Pluto that helps you release the emotional traumas you have experienced in your life. Releasing the past allows you to concentrate your efforts on expanding your belief system and acquiring a more positive outlook on life.  Later this week, your creative talents may prove lucrative, so take advantage of opportunities while the irons are hot.

Scorpio

This week begins a month-long process of inner change and transformation as the Sun moves into your solar 8th house.  Difficulties in relationships have a better than average chance of being resolved, because you and your partner have enough emotional feelings for one another to face the underlying issues. Single Scorpios, be careful of investing heavily in people who are only in your life for a season.

Sagittarius

You may need to escape the real world this week and focus on what makes you happy and brings you joy. Relationships will be a conduit that inspires new ideas that get your creative juices flowing once again. Towards the end of the week, avoid signing contracts or legal documents with Mercury in your 7th house, squaring deceptive Neptune.

Capricorn

Although you may want to focus on issues that matter to you, daily annoyances and problematic people may threaten to knock you off your game. Projects you have invested in may not work out as expected, leaving you feeling emotionally depleted. Since the Sun is now moving through your solar 6th house, take extra care of your body and make choices that benefit your well-being.

Aquarius

This week, the Sun begins its month-long trek through your solar 5th house, bringing out your need to connect with others and have some fun. It’s a great time to take a step back from the daily grind and take some me-time to become conscious of your current goals and what you are currently seeking in life. However, try to avoid overspending, because your decision-making might not be the best with Mercury squaring Neptune in your financial second house.

Pisces

This week, the Sun moves through your solar 4th house, putting family matters in the proverbial hot seat.  Issues from the past may resurface that need resolution once and for all.  Getting in touch with your deeper feelings about life will positively impact your personal growth and career matters. This coming weekend, avoid shady people.

See you next week!

Astrology Horoscopes for the Week of May 10, 2021 – May 16, 2021

This week, the bulk of the astrology forecast occurs over a three-day window beginning on Tuesday and ending on Thursday.  The two biggest features are Jupiter moving out of Aquarius and into his sign of Pisces and a New Moon in Taurus, the sign of the bull.

Let’s start with the big kahuna, Jupiter in Pisces…

Astrology Hot Spots:

Jupiter in Pisces

This week Jupiter says goodbye (at least temporarily) to the sign of Aquarius and movies into Pisces until July 28th when he will return to the sign of the water bearer.

Pisces is the sign associated with collective dreams, but what does that even mean?

Well, we all have dreams and not just when we go to sleep.  We have visions of how we would like our lives to be. WE have dreams about a perfect world and a perfect society. Some of us even have dreams of a perfect cheesecake – mine is raspberry flavored.  But there are dreams that are bigger than individual dreams, they are the collective visions and aspirations of nations, groups, generations (current, previous, and those no longer with us), and even political parties. All dreams and collective visions are governed by the sign of Pisces.

Jupiter is the planet of expansion and when he dives into the deep waters of Pisces, those collective dreams of a perfect world will become a predominant theme over the next year.  Carl Jung (one of the pioneers of modern psychology) believed that everyone’s dreams and aspirations add to the whole, and it is this energy that is at the deepest core of Pisces, and the actions we take as individuals decide whether those dreams solidify into tangible realities. So, it’s a great time to focus on our higher aspirations, what we would like to see happen in our lives and in the world in the future.  According to the kabbalists, the most powerful force in the universe is unity (another lovely Piscean word) but to effectively create change, we all need to do our part to uplift and inspire a better tomorrow by beginning to dream — and DREAM BIG!

New Moon in Taurus

The New Moon this month lands in the sign of Taurus. Taurus is about prosperity, money, and self-worth. So, getting control over your finances, planting seeds for financial stability, and improving your self-image are constructive ways to work with this month’s New Moon, especially if you do intention or magical work

This month the New Moon makes only favorable aspects to Neptune and Pluto.  The Moon’s sextile to Neptune softens Taurus’s outer shell and provides opportunities to connect on a deeper level in relationships, and it allows you to become more sensitive to the emotional needs of others.  Whereas the trine to Pluto helps you stand in your own power and gives you the moxie to make changes that are necessary. Overall, this is a gentle New Moon, and it may be a bit of cosmic relief before eclipse season begins at the end of the month.

Sign by Sign Breakdown:

Aries

The New Moon falls in your solar second house highlighting your finances and personal resources. There may be a chance to improve your financial situation through new career opportunities. Conversations with friends may provide you with the support necessary to level up.

Taurus

Focusing on your personal ambitions may be key as the New Moon sets up shop in your solar first house. You may find help and assistance through your friends and associates who are more sensitive to your needs this week. However, put a watch on your tongue to avoid inadvertently annoying those around you.

Gemini

The New Moon lands in your twelfth house this week providing you with an opportunity to slowdown, smell the coffee, and take a step back. Career related matters may leave you feeling overwhelmed, at least temporarily. Financial issues or obligations that may have slipped your mind could resurface.

Cancer

You may want to take a break and get away from your duties and responsibilities.  The New Moon landing in your eleventh house provides you with an opportunity to spend time with friends and perhaps make new social connections.  Look to your relationships if you need encouragement and positive reinforcement.

Leo

The New Moon lands in your tenth house of career and public standing. Your allies and strategic partnerships will help you shine and prove to be a valued commodity moving forward. A blast from the past may throw you off your game, so keep your chess pieces close to the vest. Avoid throwing all your cards on the table.

Virgo

Focusing on big picture objectives is the name of the game with the New Moon landing in your solar ninth house. Although its easy for you to get caught up in the details, try to avoid doing so this week. You may receive surprising news from a friend or associate that you can use to your advantage.

Libra

Trying to stick to a structured routine this week may be difficult to manage. Your mind is focus on so many things that you may need a break to bring balance back into your life. Career issues may prove challenging because other people are not stepping up to the plate and you are beginning to feel the burden.

Scorpio

This week love and partnerships are highlighted with the New Moon touching down in your solar seventh house. Infuse your relationships with some extra spice and romance. If you are a single Scorpio, it’s time to attract Mister or Miss Right into your life. Put your apprehensions aside and go for it.

Sagittarius

Putting your day-to-day life in order may be a struggle, but with the New Moon in your solar sixth house, it’s a necessary evil.  Conversations with your partner may prove important and meaningful. A work-related surprise could spin your creative juices in a completely new and surprising direction.

Capricorn

Work-related matters may kick into high gear and you may shine bright like a diamond with the New Moon in your solar fifth house. It’s a great time to take a risk to achieve your goals. Any gut-level feelings or hunches you receive this week will likely pay off in the long run.

Aquarius

Taking a break from the real world and spending time with those that matter most is a major theme for you this week.  It’s time for you to recharge your batteries and have a little enjoyment that includes your friends and social circle. Home repairs or home improvements may be a focus with the New Moon landing in your solar fourth house.

Pisces

Communication with others will be an important feature of your week with the New Moon in your solar third house. Opportunities to connect with your siblings or close friends are likely. Your intuition will be in high gear and you should pay close attention to any feelings you have because they will prove useful in the future.

See you next week!

Astrology Horoscopes for the Week of May 3, 2021 – May 9, 2021

Although the week starts of rough, your social butterfly wings begin to emerge next weekend!

This week there is an excessive amount of astrological energy, and a decent mix of positive planetary hookups and interesting sign changes that should put everyone in social butterfly mode.

Let’s get the show on the road:

We start the week off with the most challenging aspect of the week – Sun in Taurus square Saturn in Aquarius.

There is time for fun and enjoyment, and there is a time to put your nose to the grindstone. Sun square Saturn expects the latter. Your energies may be low, and you may feel the weight of the world on your shoulders. Your self-esteem might be at a low point, and you may feel at odds with people around you, especially authority figures. However, the best way to manage Sun square Saturn is to focus on practical matters and keeping a low profile. The more you concentrate on your duties and responsibilities, the less painful Monday will be.

Later in the evening on Monday, Mercury will move out of Taurus and into his sign of Gemini. As we go through the rest of the week, you will need to communicate with others and learn new things. Your social calendar should begin to fill up because you will need the exchange of ideas, opinions, and camaraderie of others.  Since Mercury turns retrograde later in the month, the trickster god will be in Gemini until July 11th.

On Thursday, Venus forms a beneficial trine to Pluto in Capricorn.  Venus trine Pluto will intensity your relationship experiences, and your emotions will be in overdrive. This is a great day to express your deepest feelings to your partner, and you will experience a deeper connection than before.

Finally, this weekend Venus continues to hog the stage as she aspects Jupiter and moves out of her sign of Taurus and into mercurial Gemini.

Saturday will not be the best day for discipline and responsibility.  Instead, you will want to relax, luxuriate, and enjoy the company of others.  You should find that most (there is always that one) people are in decent moods and enjoyable.

Finally, later in the evening on Saturday, Venus moves out of Taurus and into Gemini.  Your social needs will be activated, and you will desire the company of others. Sharing ideas and spending time with your companions will help release stress and invigorate your spirit.

Weekly Horoscopes — Sign Breakdowns:

Aries: At the beginning of the week, you may suffer from feelings of inadequacy when you compare yourself to your social circle.  However, opportunities to improve your social standing may be experienced through your career as the week progresses.  This weekend sharing your ideas and opinions with others will prove crucial to your agenda.

Taurus: Career setbacks could spoil your mood at the beginning of the week.   You may need to spend some time away from others to see your big picture objectives. Conversations about finances will occur at the week’s end.

Gemini: Unresolved issues from the past resurface and force you to take responsibility for your actions. Towards the middle of the week, you may need to take control of a situation that others have mishandled to get the results you desire. During the weekend, you will receive new insights that help push you to the next level.

Cancer: Deep-seated insecurities may try to steal your joy at the beginning of the week.  However, opportunities to improve your relations through intense experiences may reignite your mojo once again. Listen to your intuitive hunches; they will prove to be on point.

Leo: Putting your career ahead of your personal life may cause relationships to suffer at the beginning of the week.  You may be better served by seeking some balance in your day-to-day activities.  This weekend, your social butterfly wings will sprout, and you will want to be surrounded by your tribe.

Virgo: Responsibilities and duties may supersede recreational activities at the beginning of the week. You will feel more at ease midweek when you have meaningful and productive conversations with your partner.  Children may be an issue of contention this weekend; be prepared to enforce your boundaries.

Libra: The beginning of the week may be a bit of a downer as inner demons may resurface and chip away at your self-confidence.  You may need to dig deep and reflect on whether these hobgoblins are limiting your growth. At the end of the week, you may need to escape it all and take a trip or short staycation to clear the cobwebs out of your head; some rest will do you good.

Scorpio: Family issues may disrupt your relationships, leaving you feeling stressed and emotionally drained. Towards the middle of the week, financial opportunities will arise through your social circle or a close friend. On Saturday, conversations with others will lead to inner transformation.

Sagittarius: You may feel imprisoned this week as work-related matters dominate your life, leaving ‘Jack’ with all work and little play. Health and fitness may be a concern for you towards the middle of the week. Finally, next weekend you may get a reprieve from your duties and responsibilities as your social life goes into overdrive.

Capricorn: This week, your romantic life is going to heat up, but it may come with a stiff price tag. Try to avoid overextending yourself financially, as unexpected expenses could leave you feeling anxious.  Conversations about potential career opportunities or projects may get you excited about the future.

Aquarius: Family members may call upon you to manage a situation that needs resolution and repair as problems from the past resurface at the beginning of the week. Try to avoid getting entangled personally; instead, work towards a solution or a compromise. Next weekend your romantic life becomes more active, and if you are single, a new person of interest is on the horizon.

Pisces: Conversations about financial matters may be a significant focus throughout the week.  Avoid opportunities that appear to be too good to be true because they probably are, and you should guard your finances right now. Next weekend some minor home repair or redecorating may be in order.

Cosmic Weather Forecast — Mercury Retrograde in Scorpio

I’ve got a secret.

Wait for it…

I dread when Mercury goes retrograde, and not because of the annoying little problems that occur during the period when the trickster planet decides to backstep through the zodiac as they are bound to happen.

No, it’s the endless memes, complaints, and everyone blaming every problem on earth on Mercury.  In many ways, it reminds me of people that blame Satan on every single problem in their lives – even the ones they CAUSED.  It’s exhausting for astrologers, and unfortunately, the information that is shared on social media is more Cosmo and Allure magazines than anything that resembles astrology.

Yes, Mercury is going to retrograde, and it happens on Halloween at 27 degrees of Scorpio.  Mercury will reverse course and go back through the sign of Scorpio before stationing again at 11 Scorpio on November 20th.  You may want to check your charts and see if you have anything in the fixed signs of Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, or Aquarius because your chart will be highly sensitive to Mercury’s movements.

Mercury in Scorpio is not the trickster he usually is in more fiery and airy signs, instead he probes beneath the surface often brings up the sewage of our past in order for us to challenge, integrate, and transform past traumas and compulsions that may plague you.  Mercury as the psychopomp is about revealing the truth, not in a literal sort of way, but instead provides you with personal truths that can ultimately change your understanding of life.

However, the biggest benefit of Mercury retrograde involves his reflection capabilities.  Over the next three weeks, you have an opportunity to look at the events since the last Mercury retrograde (end of July) and see if you need to make corrections or modifications to the choices that you have made.  Mercury retrograde periods give us a chance to alter course and define what we can personally do to make improvements in our lives.  So, if you have had some major upsets or major challenges that have frustrated you, if you do the inner reflective work, you can see where your personal choices have led you down the wrong path, and how you can get headed down the right one once again.  Remember, this is not about judgment, we all make mistakes and we can all course correct, it’s about learning from experiences and using that information in order to live the best life we possibly can.

Mercury Transits

Here are some hot spots to look for while Mercury is retrograde:

November 9, 2019 – Mercury sextile Pluto – Pluto gives you the ability to dig deep and reveal the root of problems that may be nagging you.  This aspect gives us the ability to become our own personal detectives and get to the truth.  It’s also a great time to do trauma work or to explore areas of your life you would ordinarily avoid.

November 11, 2019 – The Sun conjunct Mercury – The Sun is about our sense of individuality and our destiny.  When Mercury retrograde conjoins the Sun, we can often get intuitive flashes of what our destiny is meant to be, and it just comes out of the blue.  I once had a client who struggled with her job for months and months, and when Mercury retrograde conjoined the Sun in her 10th house, she realized that she was bored with her job and that her own boredom and happiness with her line of work was unconsciously creating her struggles.  Watch the events that happen between November 10 – November 12 closely.

November 13, 2019 – Mercury sextile Saturn/Mercury trine Neptune – We get a two for one special that will be active from November 12-November 14.  First up is Mercury sextile Saturn, which is great for business activities and analyzing your business and career status over the past few months.  It’s also a great time to make new plans to implement once Mercury goes direct.  Next is Mercury trine Neptune, which will get your creative juices flowing, which you can use on business or personal related projects.  Spirituality and inner work can be done while Mercury and Neptune are doing their cosmic dance.

November 20, 2019 – Mercury goes direct – This can be as challenging as when it first goes retrograde.  Expect communication problems, technical snafus, travel issues, and other general annoyances to occur. Yet, also look forward to things slowly improving in time for the holidays.

Your Personal Mercury Retrograde

Read for both your sun sign and your rising sign, if you know it.

Aries:  Mercury is going retrograde in your solar 8th house.  The 8th house is traditionally associated with death, taxes, and other people’s money. Mercury in Scorpio likes to dig deep and in the 8th house, it likes to dig even deeper.  You may notice that your conversations with others are more intense than normal including mysterious subjects that may intrigue you. Since Mercury is retrograde, joint finances may become an issue including coming up with a plan to make them better.

Taurus: Mercury is going retrograde in your solar 7th house. Relationships (of all sorts) will be your primary focus during Mercury retrograde.  Old partners may resurface and need to be dealt with or problems beneath the surface of your relationships may need to be addressed.  Further, this is not the best time for you to get involved with anyone new, so avoid investing in anyone that comes on the scene until Mercury goes direct on November 20th.

Gemini:  Mercury will retrograde in your solar 6th house.  You may need to put a watch on your tongue because you may be more critical than usual, and this could lead to complication and potential problems especially on the job or with work-related matters.  Since the 6th house governs our work environment, this would be a good time to resolve any long-standing issues and grievances – just remember to keep your ego out of it.

Cancer: Mercury will retrograde in your solar 5th house.  Traditionally, the 5th house governs children, romance, and casual sexual encounters.  I would recommend avoiding the later since Scorpio is associated with diseases, and who wants one of those?  However, it is a good time to explore your romantic life and whether you are getting your needs met out of your encounters. Issues with your children or children in general surface during this retrograde season.

Leo: Home is where the heart is, and this will prove to be true as Mercury retrogrades your solar 4th house.  You may feel the need to withdraw in order to recharge your batteries, and you may feel drained, both physically and emotionally. Issues surrounding your immediate family members may surface during this retrograde season, yet despite frustrations and annoyances, this gives you an opportunity to repair familial relationships. If problems from the past resurface, deal with them rationally and responsibly so that they no longer influence your future.

Virgo: Mercury will retrograde in your solar 3rd house. In astrology, Mercury naturally rules the 3rd house so you may feel the usual problems associated with the retrograde more intensely.  Worries and anxiety may leave you feeling scattered and your ability to focus may be limited during retrograde season.  It’s also recommended that you avoid travel because complications may occur. On a more positive note, this cycle could prove useful if you need to get facts and ideas together for business-related activities once Mercury goes direct on November 20th.  Make your plan so you can implement it effectively.

Libra: Mercury will retrograde in your solar 2nd house and financial concerns will walk onto the stage. This is a great time for you to analyze your financial situation and get a clear perspective on how to proceed moving forward.  Further, new financial investments or purchases are not recommended until Mercury goes direct.  If someone owes you money, they may be more likely to repay you this retrograde season or further delays could possibly occur.

Scorpio: Mercury will retrograde in your solar 1st house.  This retrograde season could prove to be more frustrating than usual.  You may feel deeply misunderstood and have difficulty expressing yourself to others, and this could lead to unwanted insecurities surfacing.  Since the 1st house governs how you see the world, Mercury being retrograde could lead to a fragmented view of reality. However, this is a positive time to explore yourself on deeper levels and reveal potentials that may ordinarily be hidden.

Sagittarius: Mercury will retrograde in your solar 12th house. Like your Leo brethren, retrograde season may be a time to withdraw and do some inner work. You may not feel the need to express yourself to others and may not want to be encumbered by other people’s problems or realities. Meditation and spiritual work are strongly recommended.  Further, avoid old grievances with adversaries during this retrograde cycle because nothing good will come out of dredging up the past.

Capricorn: Mercury will retrograde in your solar 11th house. In astrology, the 11th house is associated with friends and groups. During retrograde season you may need to look at your social network and decide if you are getting your needs met.  If your circle is not feeding any of your personal needs, then you may need to adjust them accordingly when Mercury goes direct.  Further, communications with friends and associates could prove to be problematic. Avoid unnecessary conflicts and arguments throughout retrograde season.  Practice proaction rather than reaction.

Aquarius: Mercury will retrograde in your solar 10th house. In astrology, the 10th house governs career and reputation.  During this retrograde season, you may need to look at the current state of your career and make adjustments when they are necessary.  It may also be time to look at new career opportunities and changing positions, locations, or even your profession. However, do not make any abrupt changes because you may ultimately regret them or potentially damage your reputation.  Although it’s fine to plan during retrograde season, make changes after Mercury goes direct.

Pisces:  Ordinarily, Mercury in your solar 9th house tells you to look at the big picture rather than the day-to-day events or frustrations.  However, when retrograde season occurs in your 9th house, it’s time to take your eye off the prize and pay close attention to details that may prevent you from getting to your goal.  Additionally, at this time, you may feel more pessimistic and moodier than you usually would.  Avoid foreign travel if possible until Mercury goes direct on November 20th.

I hope you have an easy retrograde!

Cosmic Weather Forecast – April 15, 2019 – April 21, 2019

After the intensive energy from last week, this week will be a welcomed relief.

So, take a deep breath and just breathe and enjoy it.

The big news this week is that the Sun moves out of Aries and into earthy Taurus.  Astrologically speaking, we fly down from the heavenly world of potential and possibilities and land firmly on the earth and we enter the world of reality.

Taurus is about the here and now. The past is dead and cannot be influenced and the future is not important as long as everything remains unchanged and reliable.  In fact, during Taurus season, it’s productive to concentrate on the moment and focusing on what you can influence in the now. The sign of the bull ushers in a cycle of focusing on things you can personally grow, like your bank account, a flower garden, or your investments.  It’s also an auspicious time to set realistic goals that you can accomplish in a short period of time.

This year, the Taurean Sun lands in the 10th house of the world chart.  The 10th house is associated with our careers, but on a more mundane level, you could say the 10th house is about all the adjectives and labels in our lives, such as being a doctor, an astrologer, a parent, the head of the PTA, or a good person.  In the world chart, the Sun forms a conjunction to disruptive Uranus, so this Taurus season is about changing the labels we associate with that are no longer working and associating with something new that represents who we are now.  Taurus is very resistant to change, but the more you fight Uranus the more disruptive change can be.  Take a deep look at your associations over the next month and let go of the ones that no longer have value, which may require a leap of faith, but fosters productive growth of your most important commodity – yourself.

Cosmic Weather Forecast – April 8, 2019 – April 14, 2019

So, I recently had a client that went through some extreme circumstances and during a coaching session, she asked me what was the psychological reason for experiences, in general?

I am sure that we have all asked ourselves this question at one point or another, and since there are astrological contributors this week that may bring about difficult experiences, I figured that I would attempt to answer it here.

Let me first say that I believe that the astrological chart describes a natural unfoldment of potential that is triggered by transits, progressions, and other astrological prognosticative tools, that provide opportunities for the chart to manifest and the individual to become a well-rounded individual.  The experiences we have, as a result of our natal chart, bring triggered, whether for good or ill, helps to navigate this unfoldment process.  Secondly, I believe that awareness of the daily astrological energies gives us the ability to consciously integrate astrological energies and make them useful in our lives, which is the point of transformational astrology. Experiences, triggered by astrological factors, serve the overall pattern that ultimately allows us to develop according to the natural laws that are essentially part of our inner design or plan.

Now, the reason this question is pertinent to this week’s astrology is that the Sun makes difficult aspects to both astrological ‘bad boys,’ Saturn (4/10) and Pluto (4/13).  The Sun is the governing body of the chart and when the Sun undergoes difficulties, then we usually experience them in the outer world first, through our experiences, and then we experience them inwardly by internally processing experiences and ultimately making changes when necessary.  In the case of Saturn, frustrations and limitations may lead to depression or feeling stymied and restricted.  In the case of Pluto, feelings of being controlled or dominated by outside influences may feel overwhelming, and at times, terrifying.  However, both planets, whether we like it or not, serve a purpose.  Saturn tells us to be dutiful and responsible; whereas Pluto tells us to release everything that is no longer usable or is preventing our further development.  The good news is that when you work with these two planets, you bring out their productive natures and ultimately feel more secure, stable, and your life transforms into what you want it to be.

In other cosmic news, Jupiter has been moving through Sagittarius since late last year, and this week will begin its annual retrograde cycle.  Jupiter in Sagittarius is about our beliefs and understanding of life, and a future that is filled with potential and creative possibilities that are better than what we have now.  So, when Jupiter goes retrograde (4/10) it reflects a cycle when we should question and review our core beliefs to see whether they are still useful.  If they are not, then you are given an opportunity to explore new beliefs and ideas that may resonate with who you are now.  This allows you to pursue life with more freedom and develop your true potential.  Jupiter remains retrograde until August 11th.

Now, on with the forecast…

Cosmic Weather Forecast – March 25, 2019 – March 31, 2019

It’s going to be a slow week in the cosmos, which may be a welcomed relief for some.  We have two sign changes, one planetary aspect, and a planetary directional change.

So, the big newsmaker is Mercury turning direct in Pisces on March 28th, and based upon my social media feeds, and for many, it couldn’t happen any sooner.  It’s been a rough retrograde, but let me tell you a secret, I hear that every Mercury retrograde.

Mercury turning direct means that communication difficulties will improve but will take until April 17th to be completely resolved.  However, the matters that Mercury retrograde befuddles – travel plans, electronic devices, making important decisions, purchases, and moving forward with plans can proceed.

On a more personal level, you need to review the last three weeks and see if any themes kept repeating, so you can make changes where they are necessary.  Journaling work and talking through issues with a trusted friend or confidant can be helpful when working through issues Mercury retrograde dredged to the surface.

Cosmic Weather Forecast – March 18, 2019 – March 24, 2019

So, this week we begin a new solar astrological cycle as the Sun moves out of watery Pisces and into fiery Aries.  Let the season of spring begin!

The sign of Aries is perhaps the most individual of all the astrological signs because it represents that burst of energy that creates life.  Practically speaking, Aries season reflects a cycle of leaving the past behind and creating a new beginning by taking charge of our lives.

Aries is probably the most competitive of the astrological signs.  It likes to win, and we can use this energy to create objectives and goals that we can achieve.  You only need to infuse it with a dash of ambition, a peppering of confidence, and a scoopful of determination.

While we are in Aries season, it’s a beneficial time to focus on what you would like to accomplish and what reforms you would like over the next year.  This week we are provided with two planetary assists – Mars in Taurus trine Pluto in Capricorn.  Both configurations occur before the Sun moves into Aries on Wednesday and gives us a cosmic boost to see what is wrong, what we are unhappy with, and what needs to be reformed.  It’s best to take advantage of this while you can.

In other astrological news, we have a Full Moon in Libra.  Libra is the sign of relationships and when the Full Moon falls in the sign of the scales, it’s time to get rid of the relationships in our lives that are no longer working.  As Marie Kondo says, if it doesn’t bring you joy or make you happy, get rid of it.  You can use this same philosophy in relationships.

Cosmic Weather Forecast – March 11, 2019 – March 17, 2019

So, I am sure that you are going to get sick of hearing two words by the end of March – Mercury retrograde.

Of course, most people know what happens during Mercury’s retrograde status because it has seeped into pop-culture and has become part of our everyday vocabulary.   For those of you that are not aware, look at this list:

  1. Potential communication issues
  2. Do not sign documents, move, or make firm decisions
  3. Electronics may become problematic, especially computers and cell phones.
  4. Possible automobile issues.
  5. Travel issues and concerns.

That is some list, isn’t it?  But don’t fret Mercury retrograde can be used as a positive tool and with Mercury making several aspects this week, it’s a great time to work with him rather than against him.

In mythology, Mercury played several roles, but the two most important were messenger of the gods and the psychopomp that ushered the souls of the dead into the underworld.  Psychologically, you could say that Mercury rules the process of the conscious mind, the process of the unconscious becoming conscious, and all the processes in between.

During this retrograde cycle pay close attention to your dreams, fantasies, and the areas where Mercury is causing chaos because it will hold the keys to the areas of your life where attention may be required.  Ultimately, by actively encouraging the unconscious to become conscious, Mercury retrograde may help you level up and begin a new cycle in your life.

Cosmic Weather Forecast – March 4, 2019 – March 10, 2019

So, we have a bucket load of astrological energy that occurs this week.  Change is on the horizon and a new cycle begins that will influence our lives over the next 7 years when Uranus leaves fiery Aries and enters earthy Taurus.  Uranus is a tricky planet because it’s not personal, but collective.  This means that Uranus symbolizes urges that are greater than one person and reflects the natural progression of human evolution, and therefore, has broad consequences.  As Uranus enters earthy Taurus, security finances, and inner resources will be highlighted and since Uranus tends to shake things up, we can expect these sensitive areas of life to dramatically be affected.

When dealing with the outer planets (Uranus, Neptune, Pluto, and Eris), our best guide is history because planetary themes tend to repeat.  The last time Uranus moved into Taurus was in 1934 and continued through the beginning of World War 2.  Notice this began after the market crash of 1929 and during the Great Depression that occurred through the 1930s.  These financial problems and uncertainties and damage they caused, especially to Germany, led to nationalism, protectionism, and ultimately World War 2 when Germany invaded Poland.

As I am writing this post, the themes of nationalism and protectionism in the United States and parts of Europe are repeating.  Threats of tariffs and economic insecurity are leading to fears of potential economic collapse in the US and around the world.   Sanctions against countries and backroom deals are reminiscent of Article 231 of the Treaty of Versailles, which blamed World War 1 entirely on Germany and the financial reparations placed a heavy burden on the German people, which led to the rise of the NAZI party.

Now, this doesn’t mean that we are on the verge of a world war, and a war in the 21st century may not look like anything that occurred in the past, but the themes are repeating, and we can expect changes in national finances and national resources.  We will question, on the collective level, what security means and whether inner resources and values ultimately mean more than physical ones.

We are in for a wild ride, but every astrological aspect has two faces – negative and positive. We can expect changes in currency, improved banking technologies, and scientific discoveries that will improve the health of the human body, which is perhaps our most valuable resource.

These are two other astrological events this week – Mercury goes retrograde and the New Moon occurs in watery Pisces.  First up is Mercury retrograde, Mercury retrograde reflects a period of reflection and introspection that lasts for three weeks.  During the retrograde, we can expect difficulties with communication, electronic devices will go awry, and travel plans may fall apart, try to prepare for these mishaps beforehand.  Secondly, the New Moon occurs on Wednesday in Pisces.  This is a great New Moon to do intention or magical work to bring compassion, joy, and enhanced spiritual connection into your life.
