The astrology forecast for the week of April 4, 2022 through April 10, 2022 features four major aspects (Mars conjunct Saturn, Mercury sextile Saturn, Mercury sextile Mars, and Mercury square Pluto) and Venus and Mercury change signs.

So, the cosmos picks up speed this week. Let’s dive right in!

Cosmic Overview

The headliner this week is Venus moving out of Aquarius and into Pisces, the sign of her exaltation. This is good news, because Venus has been in Saturn ruled signs (Capricorn and Aquarius) since November 5, 2021, and she has been copresent with Mars and Saturn in Aquarius (part of the time besieged) since early March.

So, now Venus is free to do her thing, and since she is copresent with Jupiter (also in Pisces), we should begin to see a lightening of the energy and improvements in love and finances.  Also, note the house where Pisces is located in your chart, and the two houses that Venus (Taurus and Libra) rules, because they will also see an upswing.

The positive way to work with Venus in Pisces (because there are dysfunctional applications like codependency and idealization) is to use this energy to improve relationships, and this may include some necessary self-sacrifice.

All relationships go through troubles, difficulties, and sometimes get off track. Now is an excellent time to do some inner work to see where your relationships problem areas are, and do what you can to improve them. Since Venus is in Pisces, the ability to empathize and be compassionate is amplified, which allows compromises to occur and healing to begin.  Remember, Venus will also be in Pisces for your partner, so it’s easier to achieve reciprocity in relationships. If compromises cannot be achieved, the healing may begin when you accept the relationship is beyond repair, and that you need to begin loving yourself by making difficult decisions about your relationship’s future.

There is one warning: when working on relationship issues and compromising, do not lose sight of your boundaries.

Monday April 4, 2022

We start the week off with a nasty Mars-Saturn configuration.  Mars conjoin Saturn is extremely frustrating, and it feels like driving with your brakes on. You may feel that people are obstructing or working against you, and you may need to push away negative thoughts if they surface. On a more positive note, this aspect is good for work that requires stamina and focus.

In addition to Venus moving into Pisces, the Moon moves through chatty Gemini. You will feel the need to socialize and share your ideas and opinions with your inner circle or network. Perhaps an afternoon lunch or playdate is on the menu.

Wednesday, April 6, 2022

The Moon continues to move through Gemini and forms beneficial aspects to the Sun, Mercury, and Saturn. It’s an excellent day for business related matters, especially if contracts and legal negotiations are involved. Furthermore, if you need to resolve a legal matter, this is a great day to begin the process of getting that done.

Mercury in Aries forms a helpful sextile to Saturn in Aquarius. This is an auspicious day to take an honest look at your life and see what needs to change. Sometimes, we get caught up in our daily rituals, so that we fail to take a moment to do an honest inventory of our lives.  Mercury sextile Saturn is the perfect aspect to do so. Additionally, Mercury sextile Saturn is an excellent time to work on projects that require precision and focus.

Mercury in Aries sextiles Mars in Aquarius. Issues that may have occurred on Monday due to Mars’s conjunction with Saturn will have the opportunity to be resolved, as long as you are willing to negotiate. You may need to put your ego on a shelf, at least momentarily, and use careful thought to achieve results. Furthermore, Mercury sextile Mars gives you the initiative to take advantage of any opportunities you are presented with at this time. Since this aspect is favorable, matters will usually turn out positive. So, if you need to act, don’t hesitate to do so.

The Moon moves through Cancer and during the morning hours forms a lovely trine to Jupiter and Neptune. It’s a great day for family activities, and checking in on your relatives. If you need to do any home repairs, today would be an excellent day to get them done.  However, be on guard this evening because the Moon squares Mercury, and minor communication issues are likely to occur.

The end of the week brings us two cosmic events – Mercury in Aries squares Pluto in Capricorn, and Mercury leaves the sign of the ram and heads into earthy Taurus.

During the early morning hours, Mercury squares Pluto.  Mercury square Pluto is a tricky aspect, because it’s extremely compulsive and leans towards obsessive thought patterns.  Try to avoid pushing your view on others, because it may lead to potentially unnecessary conflicts. If you are obsessed with an idea or have intrusive thought patterns, use distraction or self-soothing to minimize their effects.

Later in the day, Mercury moves out of Aries and into Taurus. Rather than understanding life through potentials and possibilities, we are now face to face with the real world of facts. While Mercury is in Taurus, it’s an excellent time to slow down and investigate matters before coming to a decision. Use careful thought and consideration at this time.

So, this week we begin a new solar astrological cycle as the Sun moves out of watery Pisces and into fiery Aries.  Let the season of spring begin!

The sign of Aries is perhaps the most individual of all the astrological signs because it represents that burst of energy that creates life.  Practically speaking, Aries season reflects a cycle of leaving the past behind and creating a new beginning by taking charge of our lives.

Aries is probably the most competitive of the astrological signs.  It likes to win, and we can use this energy to create objectives and goals that we can achieve.  You only need to infuse it with a dash of ambition, a peppering of confidence, and a scoopful of determination.

While we are in Aries season, it’s a beneficial time to focus on what you would like to accomplish and what reforms you would like over the next year.  This week we are provided with two planetary assists – Mars in Taurus trine Pluto in Capricorn.  Both configurations occur before the Sun moves into Aries on Wednesday and gives us a cosmic boost to see what is wrong, what we are unhappy with, and what needs to be reformed.  It’s best to take advantage of this while you can.

In other astrological news, we have a Full Moon in Libra.  Libra is the sign of relationships and when the Full Moon falls in the sign of the scales, it’s time to get rid of the relationships in our lives that are no longer working.  As Marie Kondo says, if it doesn’t bring you joy or make you happy, get rid of it.  You can use this same philosophy in relationships.

Cosmic Weather Forecast – February 18, 2019 – February 24, 2019

So, this week we have so much astrological energy that it may give you whiplash because almost every area of your life will be affected, but the good news is that the cosmic weather is all positive.

Can I get an amen, especially after that intense Mars – Uranus conjunction last week?

We have a couple of headliners this week – The Sun moves into Pisces and we have a Full Moon in Virgo.

On Monday, we leave the airy socially conscious sign of Aquarius and dive deeply into the watery world of emotional Pisces.  In Kabbalah, Pisces is considered the sign of joy because of the amount of light you will receive from the universe and you will find that you are more compassionate, understanding, and willing to help those around you.  However, be on guard and try to keep your personal boundaries in place because Pisces energy is so receptive to others that it is easy for people to take advantage of you.  Also, Pisces season heightens your intuition and creative abilities, and everyone can use more of that.

The Full Moon occurs in Virgo on Tuesday.  Now, this is an interesting Full Moon because it happens at the earliest degree of Virgo and reflects that old things must come to an end and that you need to embrace the new.  Holding on to ‘dead works will lead to apathy and depression, so do yourself a favor and just let it go regardless of how difficult it may be.

On the magical level, we can use this Full Moon to eliminate unhealthy patterns, dysfunctional behaviors, and self-destructive habits.  Additionally, since Virgo does have influence over our jobs, if you want to leave your current job and find something new, you have a six-month window to work through and then in late summer begin to magically petition for the job you ultimately want.

In last week’s forecast, the big news of the week was Venus turning retrograde on Friday (10/5). Now, this week is filled with aspects that are challenging.  So, let’s be prepared and make the most of it.

Although Mercury makes the most aspects this week, including a sign change, Venus and Mars are major players.  However, Saturn in Capricorn is the week’s featured planet and his presence hovers over the entire week.

Saturn in Capricorn is about tradition – for better or for worse.  We are born into a family system with traditions and customs that are innate because of our heredity.  In some case, these traditions are our ‘go to mode’ when things get difficult or stressful, but in other cases these traditions could lead to dysfunctional behaviors that ultimately do not serve us well.

This week is no exception, so let’s dive in…

Monday – Tuesday:

We begin the week with the Moon in relationship-oriented Libra and the energy builds up to the New Moon that occurs on Tuesday. New Moons are about new beginnings and this week we are urged to do intention (magical) work around our relationships to make them more meaningful, and with Venus ruling the New Moon, we should begin to see the areas of our relationships that need improvement.  Then, we can begin to step forward building on solid ground.

The general energy of Monday and Tuesday is rather mixed. On Monday, the Moon forms a lovely trine to Mars in social Aquarius. This energy is great for networking, especially with career or business connections.  However, Tuesday is complicated with the Moon squaring Pluto. Power struggles may surface and may take over your day. Try to avoid reacting to others, but always stand your ground when necessary.

On a more positive note for Tuesday, Mercury moves into mysterious Scorpio.  Mercury in Scorpio gives us the ability to see things that we normally miss – including the hidden motivations of others or ourselves. Mercury in the sign of the scorpion provides us with a deeper understanding of our circumstances that will come handy this week.

Wednesday:

Wednesday presents us with a couple of troubling aspects: Mercury oppose Uranus and Venus square Mars.

Let’s begin with Mercury oppose Uranus.  This aspect is very mental, and our thoughts will be fast and furious with new ideas that may or may not be viable.  It may be necessary to test out anything before you apply it fully to your life. Mercury in opposition to Uranus causes us to be highly reactive and we say whatever is on our mind, which could lead to difficulties.

Mercury/Uranus bluntness dovetails into Venus square Mars. If you are in a relationship that has problems, this aspect can lead to arguments that could have difficult consequences, and even solid relationships could have a love spat or two. The best way to deal with his conflicting energy is to try to be considerate of your partners personal needs while acknowledging your own because one of the problems inherent in this aspect is feeling like you are sacrificing yourself for others, and your personal desires not being acknowledged. Use Wednesday to figure out your needs and don’t be afraid to express them.  Learning to compromise but getting some of what you want is necessary with Venus square Mars.

Thursday:

The general energy of Thursday is favorable. During the morning hours, you will have an opportunity to deal with intense feelings you may have repressed or ignored. Acknowledging these feelings could improve relationships because you will feel empowered to make beneficial changes.  On Thursday evening, the Moon will conjoin Jupiter and it’s a great time to do something fun and enjoyable.

Friday:

On Friday, the Sun in Libra will square Pluto in Capricorn and you may feel the need to make radical changes in your life by eliminating everything that may not be working for you.  A good place to start is the areas of your life where you feel out of control, and perhaps, overpowered. Nobody likes to feel that others have the upper hand, and you will be no different.  Once you let go of everything that no longer works in your life, progress will begin to occur, and positive changes will ultimately happen.

Now the good news on Friday is that you will receive a cosmic assist from Mercury forming a lovely sextile to Saturn. As I said earlier, Mercury in Scorpio lets you dig deep, so the areas of your life that need to be changed will be easily discovered and Saturn will help you deal with them in a manageable way by helping you create a feasible plan. Otherwise, Friday is a great day to finish up lingering tasks or responsibilities.

The Weekend:

Get your party hats out because the Moon will be in jovial Sagittarius.  It’s a great weekend to spend doing all the wonderful autumnal activities and festivals with family and friends.  You can spend the visit the Halloween festivals, hang out with friends and family, or do something spontaneous and exciting, but most importantly, have some fun.

But, don’t forget to drink some apple cider for me.
