The astrology forecast for September 20, 2021 – September 26, 2021, features four aspects (Mercury trine Jupiter, Mercury square Pluto, Venus opposes Uranus, and Mars trines Saturn), the Full Moon in Pisces, and the beginning of Libra season.
The main highlight of the week is the Full Moon in Pisces, which happens on Monday. So, get out your snorkel; it’s time to swim. Your intuitive faculties will be at their peak, so it’s an auspicious time to focus on your dreams, meditation, creativity, and connecting with spirit. Since the Full Moon starts a two-week cycle of releasing and letting go of things that no longer serve you, it’s an excellent time to work on addictions and self-defeating behaviors. Use this cycle wisely.
Now, on with the forecast…
Monday, September 20, 2021
We start the week with a beautiful aspect between Mercury in Libra and Jupiter in Aquarius. This aspect is called a trine, and it’s harmonious, peaceful, and light-hearted energy. Mercury-Jupiter aspects are great for signing documents, finalizing contracts, and focusing on plans for the future. So, your mood should be relatively optimistic throughout the day.
Now, a word to the wise: Take advantage of this aspect while you can. Next week, Mercury turns retrograde, and there will not be another easy aspect to Jupiter, while Mercury is direct, until November 1.
Tuesday, September 21, 2021
The Moon moves through energetic Aries, and during the morning, the Moon opposes challenging Mars in Libra. Expect possible disagreements with others. People will be easily agitated, so you may need to keep a low profile. Later in the day, the Moon sextiles Saturn. Focus on projects and tasks that matter.
Wednesday, September 22, 2021
Trouble is brewing early in the day, as Mercury forms a nasty aspect to Pluto in Capricorn. The most significant difficulty with Mercury square Pluto is that it can easily provoke arguments. Mercury rules the mind, and Pluto is about power. So, when we put these two principles together, there is a tendency to try to get people to think as we do, or for them to try to force us into thinking like them. But, of course, whenever you try to apply pressure (squares) to someone, there becomes a need to stand one’s ground. So, it’s best to avoid controversial or ‘hot button’ topics today. Also, Mercury square Pluto can lead to obsessive thoughts and, in some cases, paranoia.
The best way to work with Mercury square Pluto is through introspection. You can use this energy to dig deep within your soul and discover insights you didn’t know or weren’t aware of before. If worked with correctly, this aspect can be life-altering.
There is a ray of sunshine on Wednesday – the Sun moves out of Virgo and into Libra. Although the tension of Mercury square Pluto and the upcoming Venus in opposition to Uranus may be high, the Sun in Libra may be balanced enough that people respond proactively.
Thursday, September 23, 2021
Last week, Venus formed a gnarly square to Saturn. I wrote about it in last week’s forecast. This week, Venus makes an equally challenging aspect, as she opposes Uranus in Taurus.
On its most basic level, Venus oppose Uranus, which means that upsetting events may occur in relationships, leaving you feeling shaken up and unsettled. However, Venus oppose Uranus, which indicates that ritualistic everyday experience in relationships will leave you unsatisfied. Of course, suppose we don’t ‘live’ life to the fullest. In that case, it tends to erupt unconsciously, leading to sudden upset and potential breakups (especially if it triggers your natal chart) because Uranus seeks freedom from conventional values it perceives as restricting and monotonous.
On the practical level, it’s important to spice up your relationships on your own. If you find things getting too dull or repetitive, and your relationship is losing its magic, then do what you can to liven it up. This will feed your relationship with new experiences, enriching them with growth opportunities.
Friday, September 24, 2021
Today, the Moon moves through earthy Taurus. It’s an excellent day to focus on financial concerns, improve your self-esteem, and enjoy everyday life. Do something you love, and a cheat meal is recommended.
Saturday, September 25, 2021
Mars forms a productive trine to Saturn. It’s an excellent day to focus on projects and tasks that need focus and discipline. You can also use this energy to re-examine your long-term goals. If you made some that were more ‘dreams’ than actual achievable goals, you could adjust them to something realistic and doable.
Sunday, September 26, 2021
We close the week out with the Moon moving through Gemini. It’s a beautiful day to socialize and connect with friends or your broader social system. It should be a positive day. Make the most of it because Mercury turns retrograde tomorrow!
The astrology forecast for September 13, 2021 – September 19, 2021 features three aspects (Sun oppose Neptune, Sun trine Pluto, and Venus square Saturn), and Mars leaves Virgo and enters Libra.
This week, Venus continues to move through Scorpio. Any planet moving through the fixed signs (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, and Aquarius) will reactivate the Saturn square Uranus in the cosmos, which is still within orb. This reactivation is called translation of light.
Let’s break this down.
Venus in Scorpio reflects a desire for emotional depth and closeness in relationships. In the sign of the scorpion, she likes to get things out in the open and prefers honesty over civility. Since Venus is in detriment, Scorpio is not her natural habitat. She is unhappy there, but she would rather know the truth regardless of how displeasing it is to her.
Venus will square Saturn first. Saturn is our limitations, boundaries, and responsibilities. Venus square Saturn is a frustrating combo that can cause self-doubt and insecurities. It can lead to feelings of isolation and loneliness, and people often make ‘easy’ decisions that please others rather than satisfy themselves.
Venus will oppose Uranus next week, which has its own challenges. Uranus likes independence and freedom, and often shakes things up if he feels constricted and confined. Venus oppose Uranus is tense and wants to break free, which can lead to upsetting events in relationships – if they are not managed effectively.
I’m going to be blunt – it’s my trademark. Venus mixed up with Saturn square Uranus can feel like a roller-coaster ride at the state fair. It has many ups and downs. However, working with this energy ‘proactively’ means you have to manage your need for closeness with your need for independence. You may need to have difficult conversations with people, stand your ground, and be flexible enough to consider the needs of others. The more inflexible you are, the more difficult this may be.
Further, some relationships may end up irreparable. If that’s the case, the relationship did not have the ingredients necessary to stay the course. And, although endings are complex and sometimes emotionally tumultuous, they may be necessary for the growth of your soul.
Now, on with the forecast…
Monday, September 13, 2021
The Moon moves through spirited Sagittarius throughout the day and forms a friendly sextile to Mercury during the morning hours. It’s an excellent time to share ideas and visions for the future and think outside the box. However, the Moon squares Neptune during the evening hours, so expect the fog clouds of confusion to move in.
Tuesday, September 14, 2021
First, on Tuesday, the Sun opposes Neptune in Pisces. Sun oppose Neptune is a highly confusing aspect, and it can lead to moments of uncertainty. It’s best not to make decisions under this influence, because you may end up questioning your choices. Another thing to note, while the Sun opposes Neptune, is that you may feel overwhelmed by life and your current situation. Try to avoid falling into a victim mindset because it won’t resolve your issues; it simply feeds your anxiety.
Later in the day, Mars moves out of Virgo and into Libra. Mars doesn’t like the sign of Lira much because he is in detriment in the sign of the scales. Mars wants to act, and when he is in Libra, he must consider the thoughts and ideas of others. Of course, this is frustrating for the War God. While Mars is in Libra, it’s necessary to pause before acting and fairly do things, keeping the needs of others in mind when making decisions. Mars remains in Libra until October 31, 2021.
Wednesday, September 15, 2021
The Moon spends its first full day in responsible Capricorn. During the morning hours, the Moon trines Uranus, and you may feel a little restless, especially if you have a lot to accomplish. You may want to honor Uranus by taking a few breaks to focus on more exciting things than daily repetitive drudgery. Later in the day, the Moon squares Mercury and minor communication snafus may occur. Try to clean things up as quickly as possible.
Thursday, September 16, 2021
Whereas Monday and Tuesday were not the best days to make a significant decision, Thursday is much better because the Sun forms a lovely trine to Pluto. Sun-Pluto aspects are times when you need to stand in your personal power and focus on the areas of your life that you have control over – and whether you believe it, that’s most of them. Sun trine Pluto helps you get beneath the surface and discover ways to improve your life and course-correct if necessary. So press in and press on!
Friday, September 17, 2021
We may make personal changes that rattle the cages of others, and they may disagree with our decisions. That may occur today with Venus squaring Saturn. You may go through feelings of self-doubt, but make sure your feelings are your own and not influenced by others. You may feel that those around you do not understand you or your motives. Additionally, you may need to question whether your personal needs are being met in your relationships.
Saturday, September 18, 2021
The Moon moves through social Aquarius and forms positive aspects to Mercury and Jupiter. It’s an excellent day to socialize and connect with friends. Conversations should be lively, and there is a spirit of optimism in the air.
Sunday, September 19, 2021
The Moon moves through dreamy Pisces and forms a lovely trine to Venus. It’s a wonderful day for some love and romance. Spend some time connecting to your significant other. For the singles, it’s a good day to kick back and enjoy music, movies, and meditation.
If you had relationship issues earlier in the week, this is an excellent time to make peace and resolve them.
The astrology forecast for the week of September 6, 2021 – September 12, 2021, features three aspects (Mars trine Pluto, Venus trine Jupiter, and Sun trine Uranus) and Venus moves out of Libra and into Scorpio.
But before we get into the daily breakdown for the week, let’s talk about the New Moon that occurs on Monday, September 6.
The New Moon occurs in earthy Virgo. Virgo is an earth sign and reflects our relationship with ordinary daily life, duties and responsibilities, and our relationship with the physical body. So, this New Moon is about putting our lives in order.
It’s an excellent New Moon to develop systems, focus on health and personal well-being, hire staff, and even get a new job. Use this energy to create order out of chaos and build a strong and more durable you.
Now, on with the forecast…
Monday, September 6, 2021
It’s a gigantic day in the cosmos. Not only do we have the New Moon in Virgo, but also three planetary aspects – Mars trine Pluto, Venus trine Jupiter, and Sun trine Uranus.
There is a small warning: The three planetary aspects that occur today are trines, which are generally favorable. However, since the energy is relatively light and harmonious, we may sit on our laurels and let the energy pass us by. So, word to the wise – don’t miss your moment!
A notable feature of Mars trine Pluto and Sun trine Uranus is its high oxygen energy. So, you should get a significant energy boost throughout the week. But the biggest thing about this combo is that it ushers in a new cycle of letting go of the old and having the courage to embrace something new.
Mars trine Pluto is about ambition and getting what you want – if you are willing to do the work. So if you’re going to pursue something, now would be an auspicious time to get that going.
The cherry on top of this aspect sundae is that Venus forms a beautiful trine to Jupiter. Venus trine Jupiter is a lucky aspect that allows energy to flow smoothly. Plus, it will be easy to get people to help you achieve your objectives.
You can’t get any better than that!
Tuesday, September 7, 2021
It’s time to get your to-do list out as the Moon moves through dutiful Virgo. It’s an excellent day to finish loose ends and take care of details you might have let slide in the summer months. Plus, the Moon forms a lovely conjunction with Mars that will provide the energy to get you going.
Wednesday, September 8, 2021
Relationships will be a primary focus on Wednesday as the Moon moves through Libra. The Moon forms a lovely trine to Saturn and conjoins Mercury. Business relationships are highlighted, and it is a good day to sign documents or formalize a deal. It’s also a wonderful day for a date night.
Thursday, September 9, 2021
The Moon continues to move through Libra on Thursday. During the day, intense feelings may surface, and you may need to carefully manage your emotions. Try not to be reactive.
The energy improves later as the Moon trines Jupiter and conjoins Venus, bringing the lucky aspect from Monday back together one more time. Spend the evening doing something you love and enjoy.
Friday, September 10, 2021
On Friday, Venus moves out of Libra and dives deep into the waters of Scorpio. Venus in Scorpio provides us with the opportunity to shed our superficial skin and connect with others on a deeper level. True intimacy will be important.
Saturday, September 11, 2021
The Moon moves through emotional Scorpio and forms aspects to Neptune, Jupiter, and Pluto. Expect your intuition to go into overdrive. You may feel things more deeply than you usually do. Please pay close attention to your gut instincts; they won’t steer you wrong.
Sunday, September 12, 2021
We close the week out with the Moon moving into joyful Sagittarius. So, take some time to escape the real world and do something you enjoy.
The astrology forecast for the week of August 30, 2021 – September 5, 2021, features three aspects (Mars oppose Neptune, Mercury trine Saturn, and Venus square Pluto) and Mercury exiting Virgo and moving into Libra.
The aspects this week are a bit challenging starting on Tuesday through Friday, with the Moon triggering the upcoming Mars-Neptune opposition. Since Neptune can easily confuse matters, you may need to approach your emotional responses differently. Practicing behavior modification may be key to the energy this week.
After a reprieve on Friday and Saturday, trouble will brew again as Venus squares Pluto. Stay on guard!
Now, on with the forecast…
Monday, August 30, 2021
This week begins with Mercury moving out of his sign of Virgo and into Libra. Mercury’s sign change means you will now experience life through your interactions and exchanges with others, rather than through details and daily rituals. During Mercury’s trip through the sign of the scales, you will value the opinions of others, but be careful that you do not base your decisions entirely on their viewpoints. In addition, you can expect lively discussions and debates with your social circle, because these conversations give you inspiration and insight into your life.
Tuesday, August 31, 2021
The Moon moves through Gemini throughout the day and forms tricky aspects to Mars and Neptune. You may be influenced by the moods and attitudes of others, which could lead to disagreements and impulsive actions. Avoid becoming upset by minor annoyances and frustrations because it’s just not worth it. Also, try to express your emotions mindfully.
Wednesday, September 1, 2021
The Moon enters emotional Cancer during the early morning hours and forms an onerous aspect to Mercury. Minor communication issues may occur, but they should pass relatively easily. This afternoon, the Moon sextiles the Sun, and positive news could unexpectedly arrive that brightens your day. While the Moon remains in Cancer (until Friday), familial issues may be a concern.
Thursday, September 2, 2021
The first aspect of the week occurs on Thursday when temperamental Mars opposes Neptune in Pisces. First, this is a low-energy aspect because Neptune dampens martial fire. Secondly, you may feel overwhelmed by the problems in your life, which could lead to distrusting others and your own decisions. Do not take anything at face value. Since Neptune has a loose affinity with the unfortunate twelfth house, problems from the past could come back to haunt you, especially if you have done anything underhanded or shady. Try not to be overwhelmed by past actions – there is nothing you can do about it, except move on and try to do better.
Friday, September 3, 2021
Until the afternoon hours, the Moon will be void, of course, in Cancer. Avoid starting anything new or making any firm agreements. On Friday afternoon, the Moon will shift into fiery Leo. It’s a fantastic day to do something that you love and enjoy.
Saturday, September 4, 2021
The bulk of the astrological energy occurs this weekend, starting with a trine between Mercury and Saturn. Your mind will focus on serious issues, and it’s a great time to do anything that requires mental precision. You will find that completing tasks will come easier today, because you will be in the proper mindset.
Sunday, September 5, 2021
The most challenging aspect of the week occurs on Sunday, as Venus forms a nasty square to Pluto in Capricorn. You will feel emotions more intensely than you normally would, which could be problematic. Relationships could suffer if your insecurities lead you to be needy or smothering. If you feel your relationship is changing and worry about the future, it’s best to go within and seek solutions that may prove helpful, rather than react in harmful ways.
The astrology forecast for August 23, 2021 – August 29, 2021, features only three aspects for the week – Venus trine Saturn, Mercury oppose Neptune, and Mercury trine Pluto.
A curious thing happens with the week’s energy, and it’s common with how events occur in the real world.
Have you ever made a decision about an issue in your life or set a boundary, and then experienced self-doubt?
Self-doubt may easily occur this week, with Venus trine Saturn occurring on Monday, followed by Mercury opposing Neptune on Tuesday. So, stay on guard!
The good news is that if you hang in there and stick to your guns, Thursday will prove to be enlightening, and some of you may have an ‘a-ha’ moment or two as Mercury trines Pluto.
So, get out your journals, pens (I recently got some bomb colored Tul pens) and get to work. You may discover insights into yourself and others that could be a game changer.
Now, on with the forecast…
Monday, August 23, 2021
We start the week with a stabilizing trine between Venus and Saturn. This aspect is sobering and opens up an opportunity for constructive growth in relationships. You will see your relationships realistically, and therefore, you can confront relationship issues that may be further complicated under other aspects. If you need to create boundaries without potential conflicts or hurt feelings, now would be the time to create them.
Tuesday, August 24, 2021
Whereas yesterday was a sobering and realistic day, today is anything but with Mercury opposing Neptune. So, take Monday’s guidance to heart.
Mercury oppose Neptune is an ambiguous and unsettling aspect. Try to communicate as clearly as possible, and only discuss issues of importance, and leave heavy hitting issues for a day with more constructive energies. Take all information received today with a grain of salt, and make sure to verify information multiple times before making any major decision. If something seems too good to be true, it probably is. Avoid stressful situations, if possible.
Wednesday, August 25, 2021
On Wednesday, the Moon moves through energetic and feisty Aries. You will notice an increase in energy, drive, and determination. However, be cautious during the late morning hours, because people may get on your last nerve. Avoid people who have a knack for pushing your buttons.
Thursday, August 26, 2021
The final aspect of the week happens on Thursday, when Mercury forms an insightful trine to Pluto. It’s an excellent day to dig deep into the inner parts of your soul and get in touch with your true feelings and motivations. You may also want to spend some time alone trying to understand the world around you.
Friday, August 27, 2021
The Moon spends its first full day in earthy Taurus. It’s an excellent day to focus on self-care and personal pleasures. You may want to spend the day at the spa, get a mani and a pedi, get your hair done, or simply enjoy time at the pool (or hot tub if you live in the southern hemisphere). And, of course, a cheat meal may be a scrumptious plan – just make sure it’s decadent. However, be on guard, this evening the Moon squares Saturn, and you may need to push away negative thoughts if they invade your head space.
Saturday, August 28, 2021
Expect the unexpected during the morning hours as the Moon conjoins unpredictable Uranus. You may act on impulse, but try to do so in situations that have little impact on your life. The energy will stabilize later in the day, as the Moon trines Mars in structured Virgo. Saturday evening may be a momentous date night, as the Moon sextiles romantic and dreamy Neptune.
Sunday, August 29, 2021
The Moon spends the morning hours finishing her monthly trip through Taurus and aspects Jupiter and Mercury. You will be in relatively good spirits and need to reach out and communicate with others. Perhaps, a lovely brunch or spending time with like-minded individuals at a coffee shop will do the trick. Expect a conversation filled and frenetic afternoon with the Moon moving into chatty Gemini.
The astrology forecast for the week of August 16, 2021 – August 22, 2021 features two sign changes (Venus and the Sun), four aspects (Mercury conjunct Mars, Sun oppose Jupiter, Mercury trine Uranus, and Mars trine Uranus), a Full Moon in Aquarius and Uranus turns retrograde in Taurus.
Whew, I may have carpal tunnel syndrome after listing the cosmic energy of the week. It’s going to be one hell of a busy week, that’s for sure.
Let’s dive right in…
Monday, August 16, 2021
The week begins with a sign change for Venus as she moves out of Virgo, the sign of her fall and into Libra, one of the two signs she rules.
While Venus is in Libra, you will seek fairness, balance, and equality in your relationships. If you feel your relationships are too one-sided, you should seek an even playing field. Now, under other Venus placements, this may create more tension and anxiety because people have difficulty adjusting to new relationship dynamics, but Libra is tactful, diplomatic, and seeks accords. So, this is an opportune time to seek relationship changes and get the results you need. Venus remains in Libra until September 10.
Tuesday, August 17, 2021
On Tuesday, the Moon moves through Sagittarius. The morning hours may arrive with a side dose of brain fog, as the Moon squares confusing Neptune in Pisces. However, the clouds should clear as the Moon sextiles Jupiter and trines the Sun during the afternoon hours. This evening, do something you enjoy, and that uplifts your spirit.
Wednesday, August 18, 2021
Expect a high-energy day as Mercury conjoins Mars in Virgo. It’s an excellent day for mental activities and tasks that require lengthy mental focus. Under this aspect, you will easily accomplish most of your pursuits. However, there is a problematic side to Mercury-Mars that you should note. Since Mercury rules the mouth, there is a tendency to speak one’s mind without filters. This could lead to tense conversations and possible defensive posturing from others. So, make sure you put a watch on your tongue, because Mars doesn’t understand how to quit while ahead.
Thursday, August 19, 2021
Thursday is the highlight of the week, as the Sun opposes Jupiter. Now oppositions are usually aspects of tension and agitation, but how agitated could the cosmic Santa Claus get? So, the bulk of the problematic aspects that involve Jupiter are minimized by his natural benevolence. Therefore, the only requirement for the Sun opposed to Jupiter, is to avoid excessiveness and attempt to contain its energy.
Sun in opposition to Jupiter is an aspect that fills you with self-confidence and provides you with the energy to pursue your goals. Therefore, you will engage with others easily and usually get what you want. Additionally, you will feel optimistic about the future, and your positive attitude will spread infectiously to those around you. In opposition to Jupiter, the Sun also signifies that matters you have waited on to come to fruition will begin to manifest.
Later in the day, Uranus turns retrograde in Taurus. This station will primarily affect people with planets around 11-17 degrees of the fixed signs (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, and Aquarius). You will feel the urge to create change in your life, and there may be a feeling of restlessness when faced with the reality of your responsibilities. Try to manage your ambivalence by finding the middle ground between your duties and your desire to try new things.
Friday, August 20, 2021
On Friday, we have an exciting trine between Mercury in Virgo and Uranus in Taurus. Since Uranus recently stationed retrograde on Thursday, this aspect may be more potent than it normally is, so pay attention to the events of the day more closely than you normally would.
Mercury trine Uranus electrifies the mind and gets it going. You may find a solution to problems that you have failed to resolve with conventional solutions. It’s an excellent day to break your usual routine and experience new things – this could be a new restaurant, new activity, or even a new genre of music. Opening to possibilities and new experiences is essential while this aspect is active. Further, your intuition will be off the chains, so pay attention to your gut instincts.
Saturday, August 21, 2021
The Moon moves through social Aquarius throughout the day on Saturday. It’s a fantastic day to spend time with friends and reach out to your social circle. Connections with others will prove to be important.
Sunday, August 22, 2021
Sunday is the biggest day of the week, astrologically speaking. Mars forms an energetic trine to Uranus, a Full Moon occurs in Aquarius, and the Sun moves out of Leo and into Virgo.
Let’s start with Mars trine Uranus.
Mars trine Uranus is an aspect of breaking free of conventional norms and taking a risk. As such, your inhibitions will be lowered, and you will have plenty of energy to embark on new adventures, goals, and activities. So if you have felt hesitant about doing something (and hopefully it’s legal), afraid, or too cautious to make a move, now is the time to do it.
Next up, you may feel a bit of DeJa’Vu, because this is our second Full Moon in Aquarius this year. So, we get the opportunity to run this one back.
This Full Moon cycle is excellent for breaking through stagnant situations (especially Karmic ones), developing better friendships, expanding your social circle, and opening new experiences. In addition, the Full Moon joins forces with Jupiter to provide some extra goodness with a cherry on top.
Later on Sunday, the Sun moves out of Leo and into Virgo. Virgo is an earth sign concerned with the physical world, natural laws, and how the real world works. Therefore, Virgo is associated with jobs, tasks, responsibilities, and rituals.
In the ancient world, one of the chief associations of Virgo was its rulership over servants. Although we are not servants in a technical sense, we should take care of ourselves, manage our lives, and be productive members of society. So, while we are in Virgo season, we must look at the areas of our lives that need management, repairs, and nurture the areas that need it. Making our lives more efficient helps us access the positive dimensions of the sign, and in doing so, we gain control and mastery over day-to-day living.
The astrology forecast for the week of August 9, 2021 – August 15, 2021, features three aspects (Venus square Neptune, Mercury oppose Jupiter, and Venus trine Pluto) and a sign change for Mercury.
One thing to note is that all cosmic energy takes place between Monday and Wednesday, and then the rest of the week is just lunar activity.
Let’s dive in…
Monday, August 9, 2021
The week begins with Venus opposing Neptune in Pisces. If you have too many expectations or your relationships are rooted in fantasy rather than reality, difficulties may surface. You may also feel let down, disappointed, or outright deceived by your partner(s). It would help if you stayed away from victim mindsets, because it may lead to emotional manipulation or controlling behavior. Boundaries may be necessary, but try not to put too many demands on your relationships, especially if you are frustrated. Instead, it’s best to acknowledge your feelings and wait until your emotions do not lead to acting hastily. If you are currently single, avoid starting a new relationship at the beginning of the week.
Tuesday, August 10, 2021
Although the Venus oppose Neptune aspect peaked yesterday, some residual gunk may linger on Tuesday. However, the clouds should part later in the day as Mercury opposes beneficial Jupiter before he leaves the sign of Leo.
Now since this aspect is an opposition, there are a few things to watch out for. First, your ideas may be short on details, so you need to try to pause before taking a risk. Second, try not to go ‘too’ overboard. A little restraint is necessary.
The good news is your temperament should be optimistic. It’s a great day for business transactions, negotiations, and planning. If your plans are well-thought-out, they should prove successful.
Wednesday, August 11, 2021
Wednesday is the busiest day of the week, with Mercury moving out of bombastic Leo and into orderly Virgo and Venus forming a harmonious trine to Pluto in Capricorn.
First up, Mercury is in dignity, being the Virgo’s ruler, so he can offer resources in the part of your chart where Virgo is located.
While Mercury is in Virgo, the devil is in the details, and you will want plenty of them. It’s an excellent time to focus on activities that need precision and focus. You can do this by organizing your space, making minor changes to your routine that make your life more efficient and manageable, and making strategic plans. Additionally, since Virgo is the sign associated with health and well-being, it’s a great time for lifestyle changes.
Later in the evening, Venus forms a harmonious trine to Pluto. In the forecast for Monday, I said to hold off on making emotional decisions if you experience disappointments in relationships. Well, Venus trine Pluto is an opportune time to do so. Venus trine Pluto is persuasive, so you can get your views heard, and there is an increased likelihood that you will get the results you want. However, regardless of the aspect, you will get better results with honey than vinegar. Try to reach an acceptable accord, if possible.
Thursday, August 12, 2021
The Moon moves through fair and diplomatic Libra. This gives some added support to the Venus trine Pluto that occurred yesterday. It’s an auspicious day to reach an agreement or formalize decisions. In addition, the Moon forms a lovely trine to Saturn, so business activities and responsibilities should flow smoothly.
Friday, August 13, 2021
The Moon continues her trip through Libra most of the day, but she does tangle with Pluto during the morning hours. Intense emotions may try to steal your joy, especially if you are dealing with people on a power trip. Later in the day, the Moon will trine joyful Jupiter, and your evening hours should be more uplifting.
Saturday, August 14, 2021
The Moon spends her first full day in Scorpio and forms a tense square to Saturn during the morning hours. You may experience minor frustrations, but these should fade during the afternoon hours. Expect restless feelings during the evening hours as the Moon opposes Uranus.
Sunday, August 15, 2021
The Moon is still in Scorpio throughout the day on Sunday. La Luna forms a lovely trine to Neptune during the morning hours, so it’s an excellent day to escape the real world and enjoy some downtime. Perhaps a movie or good music would be a wonderful way to recharge your batteries and prepare to seize another day.
The astrology forecast for August 2, 2021 – August 8, 2021, features three planetary aspects (Sun oppose Saturn, Venus trine Uranus, and Sun square Uranus) and a New Moon in fiery Leo. So, it’s another challenging week (although better than the last few weeks), but manageable if you work with the energy.
Last month, Venus and Mars went through the wringer with Saturn and Uranus, and this month it’s Mercury and the Sun’s turn to bat. In August, the saving grace is Jupiter’s return to Aquarius provides a bit of protection that was not available in July.
Just a reminder, Saturn square Uranus is the major astrological aspect of 2021. So, this energy will continue to be triggered by planets making aspects to both juggernauts throughout the year. Saturn reflects the need for protective structures. Uranus signifies the need to shake up the system and usher in innovative ideas and visions that may be more helpful in everyday life. Since the two of them are currently square (obstacles), they tend to polarize one way or the other. We experience extremes, and you will notice that alive and well in our political climate in 2021. The key to working with this aspect is to give life to both sides of the polarity without tearing yourself in two. Finding ways to bring new elements into your life that are progressive and more sustainable overall, while feeling like you are not uprooting your life in an unmanageable way is the objective.
This week, the Sun retriggers Saturn square Uranus, so you may feel anxious and agitated with situations that are going on in your life. You may need to make changes in areas that have become too rigid, or you may need to build structures if things have gotten out of control. But, regardless of the side of the square you land on, finding balance will bring you the most meaning.
Monday, August 2, 2021
We start the week off with the Sun in Leo opposing Saturn in Aquarius. In astrology, these two planets dislike each other immensely, so frustrations are likely to occur whenever there is a hard aspect between them. You may go through feelings of isolation, alienation, and feeling like the weight of the world has landed on your shoulders. As best as possible, try to meet your personal needs while taking care of your duties and responsibilities to others.
One thing you can bank on, with Sun opposing Saturn, is it will be a low-energy day. So, make sure you get plenty of rest, eat healthy foods, move your body, and take care of yourself. Despite what everyone else may think, your needs matter.

Tuesday features a lovely trine between Venus and Uranus, which may be some cosmic relief after the Sun opposes Saturn. Venus trine Uranus reflects the need to shake up relationships by adding excitement and a day of breaking away from routines. Tuesday may be a wonderful date night, going to a concert or movie, and since it is carnival season (all those local and state fairs in August), a bit of fun may be what you need. If you are single, hanging out with friends is always an option. Venus trine Uranus may be the magic elixir that cures your boredom and breaks up daily monotony.
Wednesday, August 4, 2021
During the day, the Moon moves through talkative Gemini and forms a lovely trine to Jupiter in Aquarius. It’s an excellent day to communicate with others, strategize, and even collaborate with associates. Anything you put your mind to will likely succeed.
Later in the evening, the Moon moves into Cancer. As such, you may feel more emotional than you usually do, so it’s the perfect time to distract yourself with a bit of pampering and comfort food. Ice cream, anyone?
Thursday, August 5, 2021
The Moon continues to move through Cancer on Thursday and makes beneficial aspects to Mars and Uranus. Mars will boost your energy levels, and Uranus will bring pleasant surprises that may uplift your spirits. It’s also a great day to focus on home, family, and those you love.
Friday, August 6, 2021
Buckle your seat belt because the Sun squares Uranus and turbulence is likely. With Uranus, you can always expect the unexpected, and situations may not go as planned, but being prepared for any snafus may curb your reactions.
On a deeper level, the Sun square Uranus reveals the areas of our lives that may need change. The harder you resist reforming your life, the more disruptive this aspect may be. Thus, it’s a favorable day to look at your life honestly and make changes that will help you in the long run, regardless of how challenging those changes may be. Conversely, avoiding change will only lead to further disruptions and disappointments.
Saturday, August 7, 2021
The weekend begins with the Moon moves through playful Leo, but Saturn threatens to rain on your parade. Therefore, you may experience minor frustrations throughout the day. Don’t let other people steal your joy—press in and press on.
Sunday, August 8, 2021
The New Moon this month occurs in fiery Leo on August 8. This New Moon is all about you. It’s an excellent New Moon to do magic and intention work that involves putting yourself in the best light. You can use this energy to get a new job, a promotion, start a new romantic relationship, or even begin new projects. So, during this New Moon, do you, and do it well.
This week’s astrology forecast and horoscopes feature a New Moon in Cancer, Mercury moving out of Gemini and into Cancer, and Venus getting cornered by Saturn and Uranus.
Sun Sextile Uranus
At the beginning of the week, we get a tiny (and by tiny, I mean tiny) break as the Sun in Cancer sextiles Uranus in Taurus. The Sun sextile Uranus tells us that we need to shake things up and break from our usual routines, and engage in different and exciting activities. Monday is also a great day to make changes to your life in areas (i.e., where you had difficulties) that may have become apparent last week when Mars opposed Saturn and squared Uranus.
On Tuesday, we are back in the saddle again, starting with Mercury square Neptune. The early part of the day will likely include brain fog and about enough motivation to pour a cup of coffee. Confusion and difficulties staying focused may dominate the day. Later, on Tuesday, Venus opposes Saturn, which along with Mercury square Neptune may leave you with feelings of self-doubt and other inner insecurities.
Venus oppose Saturn is a challenging aspect because it represents struggles in relationships, not the chocolate-covered strawberries and champaign type of business – the tough stuff. Venus oppose Saturn often reveals the areas of relationships that need work. Resolving relationship business will let you have fun again, so when the taskmaster calls, make sure you answer.
Venus oppose Saturn dovetails into Venus square Uranus on Thursday. As I mentioned earlier, with the Sun sextile Uranus, Uranus likes to shake things up and works no differently with Venus. On the positive side, Uranus often provides answers and strategies for relationship problems. On the negative side, Uranus likes freedom, and breakups can occur if relationships become too stifling or restrictive. The key is deciding whether a relationship is worth the effort, and practicing acceptance if it is not.
New Moon in Cancer
Look up in the sky on Friday because the New Moon is the sign of Cancer, and we reach the peak of Cancer Season. Now, unlike the last New Moon, a solar eclipse, you can do any intention or magical work you desire. So, get out your toolkit; it’s time to rock n’ roll. This New Moon is about new beginnings in Cancer’s domain – home, family, security, and fertility.
Mercury in Cancer
Finally, this busy cosmic week in astrology ends on Sunday when Mercury moves out of Gemini and into Cancer. Your intuition will be in overdrive, and you will understand things deeper than you normally would. Your sensitivity and compassion for others will be enhanced, and you may find it challenging to be around people who are angry, discordant, and cold.
This week’s astrology forecast and horoscopes include a dynamic aspect featuring the planet Mars and a cosmic phenomenon called ‘translation of light.’
And, no, this has nothing to do with special effects or Star Wars. It’s the process of connecting two planets that are not in aspect or are separating from an aspect.
Groovy Astro-speak, I know. But this week, it’s essential.
Mars opposes Saturn/Mars square Uranus:
Earlier this month, Saturn moving through Aquarius tangled with Uranus in Taurus. Since then, Saturn has separated from Uranus as he continues his retrograde motion in Aquarius that lasts until October.
Back to the Present…
This week Mars continues his trip through Leo and opposes Saturn and then proceeds forward and squares Uranus. Essentially, he acts as an agent that brings the two planets together again, and this is called ‘translation of light.’
In astrology, Mars is an action planet. Mars likes to do things. He is impulsive, aggressive, and enjoys a good fight. Mars is currently in the sign of Leo, and in Leo, he likes to get what he wants, and his energies are diametrically (in Leo) opposed to Saturn. Saturn likes to slow things down, delay, and obstruct. So, you can see that Mars will build up steam, get angry, and be highly frustrated. Often, I refer to Mars-Saturn challenging aspects (conjunctions, squares, and oppositions) as driving with the breaks on. Mars hits the gas, but Saturn does not let the vehicle move forward, so Mars pushes on the gas harder. Eventually, this builds up steam and pressure.
After Mars moves past Saturn, he will then move forward and square Uranus. Mars square Uranus is a turbulent and often-explosive aspect. However, when you add the built-up frustration from his interaction with Saturn, he can be exceptionally volatile.
Mars opposes Saturn, and Mars square Uranus are challenging on their own. But what is rare in this week’s forecast is that Mars reactivates the Saturn square Uranus energies once again. Areas of our lives that need to change will resurface and become apparent.
The Moon on July 4 retriggers the entire configuration to complicate matters even further as she moves through Taurus.
Now that you know what is going on, I am sure you are wondering, “what the heck do I do with this?”
Well, the first thing to recognize is that for many (especially the fixed signs of Taurus, Leo, Aquarius, and Scorpio), this will probably be a tough week. If you know it’s going to rain you bring an umbrella. In this case, you wear a hard hat. If you get through this week completely unscathed, great, but being prepared helps reduce the energies because it allows you to work with them more constructively. Secondly, it is good to remember that even if you are not a fixed sign, this configuration lands somewhere in your horoscope, and the areas represented by those parts of your horoscope will be affected. It would help if you remained on guard.
Tips and Tricks:
Here are some tips and tricks to help through the week.
Take note when you feel frustrated and note the area of your life where you feel frustrated.
When you feel frustrated, take time out and focus on other things for a bit. Distraction can be a powerful tool when dealing with frustrations and anxieties.
Once you figure out what is frustrating you, this can be a sign from the unconscious that you need to change this area of your life. Of course, none of us like change (well, maybe Geminis), but like I have said before, with Saturn-Uranus, you either change the areas of your life that Saturn-Uranus requires, or Saturn-Uranus will make the changes for you. There are no escape routes.
Once you have homed in on what you need to change, you can proactively begin to take the necessary steps to move forward progressively. And, no, you do not have to do this in one weekend; starting to make essential changes makes all the difference. Sometimes, we need to take baby steps.
If you feel an energy surge build-up or people in your life try to trigger you, avoid reacting. Instead, walk away from the situation and let things calm down before dealing with the issues. The more proactive you are, especially when your feelings are involved, the better the results. Also, an extra workout may relieve some of the martial tension.
Hopefully, these tips help you navigate your way through the week. Also, remember to always take care of yourself when energies are erupting out of the cosmos. Eat well. Sleep well. And most importantly, take care of your spirit.
