The Astrology Forecast for the Week of October 10, 2022 – October 16, 2022

The astrology forecast for the week of October 10, 2022 through October 16, 2022 features three major planetary aspects (Mars square Neptune, Mercury opposes Jupiter, and Venus trines Saturn) and Mercury moves out of Virgo and back into Libra.

So, without further ado, let’s dive right in.

Cosmic Overview

The aspect of the week is Mars in Gemini square Neptune in Pisces. Mars is the action planet; he goes out and gets us what we want and desire. When Mars tangles with Mars we often feel like our energy sources have been sapped or depleted. Now, this can be extremely frustrating if we have to do something or need to use energy to accomplish our goals. If you can, it’s best to involve yourself in spiritual matters or charitable activities, but if you can’t back away from the grind (Mars square Neptune happens on October 12th), you may need to manage your patience.

Also, be careful with shady people, because they will be lurking heavily while this aspect is active.  Avoid them at all costs!

Daily Breakdown

Monday, October 10, 2022

Mercury moves out of Virgo and back into Libra.  Keep in mind that Mercury went retrograde in Libra on September 9th, so for many, it’s going to feel like back to the future. Mercury in Virgo is about collecting data to make a decision; whereas Mercury in Libra is about going out and getting the opinions of others so that we can make sound choices.  Often, we get our greatest inspiration when we have balanced exchanges with others. Mercury remains in Libra until October 29th.

Tuesday, October 11, 2022

The Moon moves through earthy Taurus. If you need to resolve financial issues, this is a perfect day to do what you can to bring them to resolution.  It’s also an excellent day to do things that you enjoy. Life is for the living, and Taurus is all about enjoying the simplicities of life.

Wednesday, October 12, 2022

Besides Mars forming a difficult square to Neptune, Mercury opposes Jupiter. The problem with these two aspects is that they can lead to over inflated thoughts, that may not be realistic. In fact, they may be complete illusions. Otherwise, with the low energy inherent in Mars square Neptune, it’s a great day to look at your long-range goals and make modifications if necessary.

Thursday, October 13, 2022

The Moon moves into Gemini during the early morning hours, and it forms beneficial aspects to Jupiter and Mercury. After a difficult Wednesday, it’s time to let your hair down and have some fun. The Moon in Gemini is great for socializing and connected with others. Sharing your thoughts and opinions with others will be important to you and feed your soul.

Friday, October 14, 2022

Venus in Libra trines Saturn in Aquarius. It’s an auspicious time to do what you can to make your relationships more stable. If you’ve been going through problems, it’s a great time to discuss them because you are more malleable to find a solution. Venus trine Saturn is also good for managing your finances and getting your fiscal situation in order.

Saturday, October 15, 2022

Throughout the morning hours the Moon will be void of course in Gemini. Avoid making firm decisions and starting something new until early afternoon when the Moon moves into Cancer. The rest of the day is good for domestic related activities and connecting with loved ones.

Sunday, October 16, 2022

The Moon continues its monthly trip through Cancer. During the morning hours, the Moon squares Mercury, so minor communication snafus may be annoying.  However, despite an increased emotional sensitivity to those around you, it should be an overall decent day.

See you next week!

The Astrology Forecast for the Week of October 3, 2022 – October 9, 2022

The astrology forecast for the week of October 3, 2022 through October 9, 2022 features Mercury forming a lovely trine to Pluto, Pluto turning direct in Capricorn, and a Full Moon in Aries.

The good news is that the cosmos slows down for the first week of October.  But make sure you get plenty of rest, because the rest of the month is ferocious.  Get prepared!

Cosmic Overview

I recently received a call from a friend.  She is relatively astrologically knowledgeable, but she told me during the call that the energy was wonky because all these planets are retrograde (at the time – Mercury, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto were retrograde). She blamed the planets for why situations were not working well in her life.

Another friend, who is more metaphysically inclined, told me that the world was in a disturbed state because all these planets are retrograde.  I must admit, I rolled my eyes at this one.  The world has been in a disturbed state since, well, since forever.

The main issue is that often we blame the planets (or other people) for our problems, rather than take responsibility for the choices we make in our lives.

Even today, I had a client question me if things will improve in her life when Pluto turns direct on October 8th.

So, I thought I would explain a few things in this weekly update.

Let me begin with Pluto.  Pluto takes approximately 250 years to go around the Sun. He’s a slow mover, and even though his orbit is elliptical, meaning he spends more time in some signs than others, he still crawls through the zodiac.

Pluto went retrograde on April 29th and turns direct on October 8th.  That is a little over 5 months that he spends retrograde, and if you include the ever-popular planetary shadow obsessions, he is pretty much in retrograde watch for the entire year. That’s right – he went into shadow in early January of 2022 and will go out of shadow in January of 2023, only to return to being in shadow a few days later.

I will be perfectly honest.  I do not pay attention to the outer planets when they retrograde, because what’s the point?  Pluto is still Pluto, and he reflects collective issues, not personal ones.  He represents our urge towards survival and the elimination, destruction, amputation, and eventual rebuilding of the sign he is moving through.  In Capricorn, Pluto is concerned with the destruction and elimination of corrupt leaders, which has steadily been going on since Pluto moved into Capricorn in 2008.

Now, I pay attention to when Pluto stations in aspect to an inner planet (The Sun, The Moon, Mercury, Venus, and Mars), because it seems to trigger the transformation of the planet, he aspects. By stationing, I mean on the same degree as the other planet, and I only use hard aspects (conjunction, square opposition).

So, what retrograde planets do I pay attention to?

Simply put, Mercury, Venus, and Mars.  They are personal planets that reflect issues we deal with daily.  Mercury is how we understand life and communicate that understanding to others. Venus is our urge for relationships, and Mars is our ability to go out into the world and get what we desire. However, I will also say that I do not believe these planets DO anything to us.  When these three planets are retrograde, they reflect periods where we should review the areas of life ruled by those planets.  We all need times of reflection to ensure that we are on the right path, and these planets give us the ability to course correct if necessary.

In closing, don’t fear retrogrades and don’t blame them for situations that occur in your life. Instead, use them for what they are — times when we should pay close attention to the themes of the planets.

Daily Breakdown

Monday, October 3, 2022

The Moon moves through Capricorn. Normally, it would be a day to take care of your duties and responsibilities.  However, the Moon trines Uranus, and you should shake up your routine and try different things.  On Monday evening, the Moon trines Mercury. If you need to have a serious conversation with someone, this is an auspicious time to do so.

Tuesday, October 4, 2022

The Moon enters Aquarius shortly after dawn and makes lovely aspects to Jupiter and Venus.  It’s an excellent day to broaden your social circle and connect with your network. In business matters, financial opportunities that may seem risky might prove lucrative.  Just do your research before acting.

Wednesday, October 5, 2022

The Moon continues to move through Aquarius and squares Uranus and conjoins Saturn.  Sudden changes or unexpected situations may rattle your cage.  You may go through moments of insecurity or self-doubt.  Push away negative thoughts when they surface. The good news is that this evening, the Moon trines Mars, and your energy levels should return to normal.

Thursday, October 6, 2022

Mercury in Virgo trines Pluto. It’s an excellent day to look at your life and discover exactly what makes you tick. Understanding your motivations may help you succeed, because you’ve done the necessary inner work. You will be concerned with the deeper elements of your life.  You can use this energy as a catalyst for change.

Friday, October 7, 2022

The Moon moves through Pisces, sextiles Uranus and squares Mars. Unexpected situations may bring a bit of excitement into your life. You may feel energized, alive, and fascinated by new opportunities. Friday evening, be on guard, as the Moon tangles with Mars. You may find yourself at odds with someone and easily triggered.

Saturday, October 8, 2022

The Moon moves out of Pisces and into Aries, and it quickly applies to a conjunction with lucky Jupiter. Your energy levels will increase throughout the day, and your mood should be positive and optimistic. If you need to get things done, today is the day to do it.

Sunday, October 9, 2022

The Full Moon in Aries occurs at 4:55 PM EDT/1:55 PM PDT.  The Full Moon in Aries is a two-week cycle of letting go of personal attributes that we may not like about ourselves or are no longer effective.  Are there any individual behaviors that you would like to let go of?  Oh, and news flash – we all have them! Since Mars is in Gemini, you can also look at how you communicate with others, and whether your communication style hinders your interpersonal relationships. This work is not easy, but the fruits of your internal work will pay off in the end.

The Astrology Forecast for the Week of October 18, 2021 – October 24, 2021

The astrology forecast for the week of October 18, 2021 – October 24, 2021 features a Full Moon in Aries, two major aspects (Mars trine Jupiter and Mars square Pluto), Mercury and Jupiter turning direct, and the beginning of Scorpio season. Cosmic energies will continue to improve with a large blip on Friday, but it should be a decent week.

Cosmic Overview:

First, Mercury turns direct on October 18, and minor annoyances and communication snafus may occur as Mercury stations and changes directions. As we move through the week, Mercury retrograde issues, particularly with relationships, will slowly improve. This is an excellent week to repair any damage to relationships or friendships that happened while the retrograde was active. Also, anything that you have put on hold during the retrograde can now be initiated and completed.

Next, we have the Full Moon in Aries, which occurs on October 20. The good news is Mercury is now direct!  The bad news is that Mars (the ruler of Aries) is in detriment in Libra. So, to work with this energy, we must tweak how we would work with the planetary ruler.

The Full Moon in Aries is a two-week cycle of letting go of personal attributes that we may not like about ourselves or are no longer effective.  Are there any individual behaviors that you would like to let go of?  Oh, and news flash – we all have them! Since Mars is in Libra, you can also look at how you behave in relationships and let go of unhealthy personal patterns that may limit the relationship’s growth.  This work is not uncomplicated, but the fruits of your internal work will pay off in the end.

Now on with the forecast…

Monday, October 18, 2021

The first aspect of the week happens on Monday when Mars trines Jupiter. This will be an energetic week with plenty of activity, and since Jupiter is direct, there is the potential for good fortune and matters going your way. Mars trine Jupiter is a powerful aspect for putting yourself first and focusing on activities that promote your self-interests. Otherwise, Mars trine Jupiter is optimistic, energetic, and enthusiastic, so go after your desires with no regrets.

Tuesday, October 19, 2021

The Moon spends its first full day in Aries, preparing for the monthly Full Moon cycle on Tuesday. The Aries Moon is courageous, confident, and passionate, so the beneficial energies from yesterday will spill over into today. It’s an excellent day to focus on your wants, needs, and desires.  Sometimes, you need to put yourself first, and do you!

Wednesday, October 20, 2021

Besides the potent Full Moon (see above) that occurs today, the Moon battles with Mars and Pluto. As a result, you can expect your emotions to be on high alert, and there is potential for arguments and power plays.  Keep controlling and manipulative people at arm’s length, because they will only steal your joy.

Thursday, October 21, 2021

Today, the Moon spends its first full day in stable Taurus. Expect things to slow down to a crawl during the morning hours as the Moon squares Saturn.  Minor frustrations and annoyances may be prevalent throughout the day, but your energy levels should return as the Moon conjoins exciting Uranus this evening. Since the Moon moving through Taurus invites you to indulge in the pleasures of life, do something you deeply enjoy.

Friday, October 22, 2021

Remember that large blip I talked about at the beginning of the forecast? Well, it happens today as Mars tangles with Pluto.  Mars square Pluto is a discordant aspect that often provokes disagreements between people, especially if problems or animosities have been lurking in the background for a while.  You may experience fierce opposition from others. Avoid underhanded activities even if you feel they are justified because they will only lead to blowback.  Stay away from dangerous people and places!

Saturday, October 23, 2021

We change astrological seasons today as the Sun moves out of Libra and into Scorpio.  Scorpio season is about digging deep into the secret parts of ourselves – our fears, phobias, and dysfunctions.  Although the season’s energy is intense, we can conquer our personal demons with a bit of reflection and willingness to change.

Sunday, October 24, 2021

Finally, we close the week with the Moon moving through social Gemini. It’s an excellent day for fun, frolic, and great conversation.  Sharing your ideas and opinions with others will be vital to you at this time. However, this evening you may need an extra dose of caffeine or an energy drink, as the Moon squares Neptune.

See you next week!

Astrology Forecast for October 4, 2021 – October 10, 2021

Astrology Forecast for October 4, 2021 – October 10, 2021

The astrology forecast for the week of October 4, 2021 through October 10, 2021 features three planetary aspects (Sun conjunct Mars, Sun conjunct Mercury, and Mercury conjunct Mars), a sign change for Venus, two planets turning direct, and a New Moon in Libra.

It’s going to be a busy week, but a relatively positive one. So, make sure you enjoy it while the good vibrations last. However, keep in mind that Mercury is still retrograde.

Cosmic Overview

The New Moon in Libra occurs on Wednesday, October 6. Although ordinarily, a New Moon in Libra would be an excellent time to attract a new relationship, Mercury is ‘retched out,’ and Venus (the ruler of Libra) is in her detriment in Scorpio. So instead, use this New Moon to create new paradigms within your current relationships, which are not limited to romantic ones.

If you are currently single, you can make a list of all the attributes you would like out of a mate and do cleansing magic to signify your desire for a fresh start. If you are in a relationship, you can use the New Moon to reset (such a lovely Mercury RX word) the energies and create a more fulfilling dynamic that will help improve the relationship’s overall health. In other relationships, you can modify how you work with the New Moon based on the needs of that relationship. The key is formulating new and productive ways to make them healthier.

Now, one with the forecast…

Monday, October 4, 2021

The Moon moves through Virgo and for most of the day opposes confusing Neptune. Therefore, it’s best to focus on tasks that require little effort or concentration because Neptune may keep you distracted and unfocused. However, you can use this energy to tap into spirit, do some meditation, or work on creative or artistic projects.

Tuesday, October 5, 2021

Whereas Monday is a blurry, unfocused mess, Tuesday is the exact opposite. The Moon moves into Libra and forms a lovely aspect to Saturn. It’s an excellent day to complete tasks that you need to finish and get the job done. If you need a solution to a problem today, the simplest solution is the right one.

Wednesday, October 6, 2021

Besides the New Moon occurring in Libra, the Moon makes several aspects throughout the day – a conjunction to Mars, a conjunction to Mercury, and a lovely trine to Jupiter in Aquarius. Overall, it should be a positive day with an energy boost from Mars, great conversations with friends and associates thanks to Mercury, and a more optimistic view of the future thanks to Jupiter. Try to keep a balanced mindset throughout the day.

Thursday, October 7, 2021

Venus moves out of turbulent Scorpio and enters joyful Sagittarius. This is a bit of relief for Venus, who prefers light over darkness. You will seek adventure in your relationships, and you will find that relationships that are stuck in a rut will not do it for you anymore. While Venus is in Sagittarius, it’s a wonderful time to add a little spice to your romantic life and liven things up a little. Venus remains in Sagittarius until November 5.

Friday, October 8, 2021

The Sun conjoins Mars in Libra. Ordinarily, this energy is excellent for starting projects or beginning new ventures, but with Mercury being retrograde, you should proceed with caution. Instead, begin to plan your objectives and strategies, and then you can enact them when Mercury goes direct on October 18. Further, if you have been unhappy with the condition of your life, this is a potent conjunction that will help you break free and begin to live the life you desire. Finally, for the air and fire signs, Sun conjunct Mars may provide you with a much-needed boost of energy.

Saturday, October 9, 2021

This week, Saturday is the only day that comes with a caution sticker – beware of bears and don’t purposely poke them. Mercury Rx will conjoin Mars in Libra, and you will need to put a watch on your tongue because you may say things you will later regret. Mercury conjunct Mars can be argumentative, reactive, and impulsive. So, make sure you keep your guard up. It is best to avoid people that may trigger you. On a positive note, if you need to perform tasks that require a lot of mental energy, this is an auspicious time to work on them.

Sunday, October 10, 2021

We close the week out with the Moon moving through fun-loving Sagittarius. It’s a magnificent day to break away from the daily grind and do things you enjoy. You may want to do a day trip, a Halloween-themed event, or do something amusing. The main takeaway from the Moon in Sagittarius is letting your spirit sore, and your inner child run free. You can adult another day!

See you next week!

Astrology Forecast for the Week of September 27, 2021 – October 3, 2021

The astrology forecast for the week of September 27, 2021 – October 3, 2021 features six major aspects (Venus trine Neptune, Sun trine Saturn, Venus square Jupiter, Mercury Rx square Pluto, Venus sextile Pluto, and Mercury Rx trine Jupiter) and the trickster god Mercury turns retrograde on Monday. So it’s going to be a busy week in the cosmos!

Cosmic Overview:

On Monday, Mercury turns retrograde in Libra.  So, relationships (ruled by Libra) are under the gun, continuing until October 18. So, I created this Mercury retrograde checklist to keep you in the know.

Mercury Rx Dirty Dozen! Tips and Tricks to Wrangling the Trickster God

  1. Make sure you go over anything contractual thoroughly.  Make sure all the i’s are dotted, and all the t’s are crossed. Then, if you can get away with it, wait until after the retrograde is over to sign on the dotted line.
  2. Avoid starting anything new.  New projects tend to have communication problems and mishaps when initiated during this process.
  3. Put a watch on your tongue.  (If it is not worth saying, don’t say it)
  4. Check your vehicles for any potential problems.  Before Mercury goes retrograde is the best time for a service call.
  5. Avoid buying real estate or renting apartments.  Usually, this means you are just going to move again during a future Mercury Rx.
  6. Using mail delivery services that offer tracking and insurance – especially now since the Post Office has still not recovered from the pandemic.
  7. Check, recheck, and check again any travel plans you have or appointments that are on the books.
  8. If you do travel, don’t take anything of importance or value. Only bring items that you do not care if they are lost or stolen.
  9. Expect people from the past to resurface.  However, once they do crawl out of whatever cavern they came from, proceed with caution.
  10. Back up all electronic devices.
  11. Avoid buying an automobile.
  12. Mercury Rx is a great time to scour places (online and offline) for great deals!

Now, on with the forecast…

Monday, September 27, 2021

Besides Mercury turning retrograde in Libra, the Moon spends the day in frenetic Gemini. You may find the afternoon hours a bit tricky, as the Moon squares Neptune.  Your emotions may be on overdrive, and you may easily react to those around you.  If you are confused about making decisions, sit on them for now because your emotions may highly influence you. Later this evening, the Moon trines Jupiter giving a more optimistic tone to the evening hours. It’s a great time to enjoy the company of others.

Tuesday, September 28, 2021

The Moon moves into the sign of Cancer, and family matters may be an important theme throughout the day. You may need to resolve minor issues with relatives during the evening hours. Try to be guided by your emotions but not controlled them.

Wednesday, September 29, 2021

Wednesday is a contradiction of opposites. On the one hand, Venus trines Neptune, and it’s not the best time to get things done because your mind will be distracted by your daydreams and fantasies. However, this energy is perfect for creative projects that need vision and inspiration.  On the other hand, the Sun forms a productive trine to Saturn.  The Sun trine Saturn is ordinarily a great day to be disciplined and focus on the structures in your life. Everyone needs a foundation to live a productive life, and now is an excellent time to examine the things in your life that promote your individual growth.

The key for today is finding balance (such a Libra word) between both worlds. It’s good to let go, play, and forget about the real world, but we still need to take care of our responsibilities and obligations when necessary. If you’ve been working too hard, taking some time to relax and smell the roses may be required. But, if you’ve been lax and unfocused, you may want to step up your game.

Thursday, September 30, 2021

We follow up yesterday’s Venus trine Neptune with Venus square Jupiter. Ordinarily, squares are challenging, but since Venus and Jupiter are both benefic planets, acting impulsively is the most difficult part of this aspect. Avoid doing anything simply because you need excitement and action in your life. This could lead to decisions you may later regret. However, it’s a great time to socialize and do things you enjoy.

Friday, October 1, 2021

It’s time to dive deep on Friday when Mercury retrograde squares Pluto. It’s an auspicious day to get to the root of internal struggles and resolve them. The insights you receive today may lead you to make changes in your life that foster significant life improvement and individual growth. Also, if you experienced problems with others last week (when Mercury squared Pluto while he was direct), now would be a good time to clear the air, make amends if necessary, and move forward.

Saturday, October 2, 2021

Your relationships with others will be exceptionally intense, and Venus sextiles Pluto.  Your emotions will be in overdrive, and you will seek more profound experiences with those around you.  You can use your experiences to understand your feelings and use these newfound insights to improve your relationships.

Sunday, October 3, 2021

We close the week with a lovely aspect between Mercury and Jupiter. Sunday is an excellent day to reevaluate your plans and make adjustments or modifications if necessary.  However, wait until Mercury turns direct before acting. It’s also a great day to let go of the old by releasing any negative feelings you’ve been holding onto and begin to focus on the positive and your future potential.

See you next week!

Cosmic Weather Forecast – October 8, 2018 – October 14, 2018

In last week’s forecast, the big news of the week was Venus turning retrograde on Friday (10/5). Now, this week is filled with aspects that are challenging.  So, let’s be prepared and make the most of it.

Although Mercury makes the most aspects this week, including a sign change, Venus and Mars are major players.  However, Saturn in Capricorn is the week’s featured planet and his presence hovers over the entire week.

Saturn in Capricorn is about tradition – for better or for worse.  We are born into a family system with traditions and customs that are innate because of our heredity.  In some case, these traditions are our ‘go to mode’ when things get difficult or stressful, but in other cases these traditions could lead to dysfunctional behaviors that ultimately do not serve us well.

This week is no exception, so let’s dive in…

Monday – Tuesday:

We begin the week with the Moon in relationship-oriented Libra and the energy builds up to the New Moon that occurs on Tuesday. New Moons are about new beginnings and this week we are urged to do intention (magical) work around our relationships to make them more meaningful, and with Venus ruling the New Moon, we should begin to see the areas of our relationships that need improvement.  Then, we can begin to step forward building on solid ground.

The general energy of Monday and Tuesday is rather mixed. On Monday, the Moon forms a lovely trine to Mars in social Aquarius. This energy is great for networking, especially with career or business connections.  However, Tuesday is complicated with the Moon squaring Pluto. Power struggles may surface and may take over your day. Try to avoid reacting to others, but always stand your ground when necessary.

On a more positive note for Tuesday, Mercury moves into mysterious Scorpio.  Mercury in Scorpio gives us the ability to see things that we normally miss – including the hidden motivations of others or ourselves. Mercury in the sign of the scorpion provides us with a deeper understanding of our circumstances that will come handy this week.

Wednesday:

Wednesday presents us with a couple of troubling aspects: Mercury oppose Uranus and Venus square Mars.

Let’s begin with Mercury oppose Uranus.  This aspect is very mental, and our thoughts will be fast and furious with new ideas that may or may not be viable.  It may be necessary to test out anything before you apply it fully to your life. Mercury in opposition to Uranus causes us to be highly reactive and we say whatever is on our mind, which could lead to difficulties.

Mercury/Uranus bluntness dovetails into Venus square Mars. If you are in a relationship that has problems, this aspect can lead to arguments that could have difficult consequences, and even solid relationships could have a love spat or two. The best way to deal with his conflicting energy is to try to be considerate of your partners personal needs while acknowledging your own because one of the problems inherent in this aspect is feeling like you are sacrificing yourself for others, and your personal desires not being acknowledged. Use Wednesday to figure out your needs and don’t be afraid to express them.  Learning to compromise but getting some of what you want is necessary with Venus square Mars.

Thursday:

The general energy of Thursday is favorable. During the morning hours, you will have an opportunity to deal with intense feelings you may have repressed or ignored. Acknowledging these feelings could improve relationships because you will feel empowered to make beneficial changes.  On Thursday evening, the Moon will conjoin Jupiter and it’s a great time to do something fun and enjoyable.

Friday:

On Friday, the Sun in Libra will square Pluto in Capricorn and you may feel the need to make radical changes in your life by eliminating everything that may not be working for you.  A good place to start is the areas of your life where you feel out of control, and perhaps, overpowered. Nobody likes to feel that others have the upper hand, and you will be no different.  Once you let go of everything that no longer works in your life, progress will begin to occur, and positive changes will ultimately happen.

Now the good news on Friday is that you will receive a cosmic assist from Mercury forming a lovely sextile to Saturn. As I said earlier, Mercury in Scorpio lets you dig deep, so the areas of your life that need to be changed will be easily discovered and Saturn will help you deal with them in a manageable way by helping you create a feasible plan. Otherwise, Friday is a great day to finish up lingering tasks or responsibilities.

The Weekend:

Get your party hats out because the Moon will be in jovial Sagittarius.  It’s a great weekend to spend doing all the wonderful autumnal activities and festivals with family and friends.  You can spend the visit the Halloween festivals, hang out with friends and family, or do something spontaneous and exciting, but most importantly, have some fun.

But, don’t forget to drink some apple cider for me.

Enjoy!

See you next week…

Cosmic Weather Forecast October 1 – October 7, 2018

Cosmic Weather Forecast October 1 – October 7, 2018

I have some good news and some bad news.

The good news is that there are very few astrological aspects this week, which is a needed break from the aspect after aspect pattern of the last several months. For many, the energy has been constantly changing and has given them a bad case of psychic whiplash. So, this is some needed relief.

The bad news – the only major astrological aspect of the week is Mercury square Pluto, and the only planetary change is Venus retrograding in the sign of Scorpio.  Now, I’ve already covered Venus retrograde in her own blog post, so scoot over there to read about how Venus retrograde works and how it affects the signs.

Now on with the forecast…

Lunar Activity:

The Moon begins the week in mercurial Gemini and forms a difficult square to Chiron.  Festering wounds (Chiron) may come to the surface and it may take the week to process your feelings.  Chironic wounds can be difficult because usually they are nobodies’ fault, but just a result of life’s unfairness.  And, wounds can be agitating if there is nobody to directly blame.  If these types of wounds come up, be kind and patient to yourself throughout the week.

Monday – Wednesday:

The Moon moves into Cancer during the early afternoon hours and our moods will be more emotional than normal. The basic energy of Cancer is about family and our connections to people we deeply care about, so issues around family are sure to surface.  Although emotions during the Cancerian Moon will be intense, they will work out favorably once the Moon moves out of the sign of the crab.

Wednesday – Friday:

On Wednesday evening, the Moon moves out of Cancer and into self-focused Leo.  The Moon in Leo is great to focus on your personal needs.  Take some time to do something to pamper yourself and have some personal time to just relax and enjoy.  Shut out all the noise and do you, boo.

The Weekend:

This weekend, the Moon will move into productive Virgo.  Virgo is great for yard work, household chores, minor repairs, and getting stuff done. Any tasks that have lingered waiting for a good time to be completed, should be tackled now.  Finish things up and you can spend the rest of the weekends this month on other things.  Hint: Next weekend the Moon is in Sagittarius and would be a great time to do all those fun autumnal activities.

Tuesday, October 2, 2018
Mercury square Pluto:

In astrology, squares present us with obstacles and this week Mercury, the planet of communication will square powermonger Pluto. A word of warning for the cardinal signs (Aries, Cancer, Libra, and Aquarius), you may experience these obstacles more profoundly than the other signs. However, every obstacle or square aspect for that matter, can be used to change and transform your life for the better.   Mercury square Saturn is no exception.

This week there is a tendency to fixate on areas of your life (or people) that bother you.  You may feel the need to explain yourself to others to the point that you are trying to convince or sway them to your side. This can lead to arguments and conflicts that may take some time to repair.  Before you engage in any intense conversations with others, make sure it is something you truly believe in.  Otherwise, you may create trouble for yourself that is not necessary.

The useful angle to Mercury square Pluto is its investigative qualities, which if turned inward can provide amazing insight into your motivations, especially in relationships with others because Mercury is ruled by Venus, the planetary ruler of relationships. Inner awareness is the key to working with Mercury square Pluto.

That’s it for this week.  Remember to check out my blog on Venus retrograde for some insight on how she will influence you and be sure to follow me on Twitter, Facebook, or Instagram for daily astrological insights.

Relationship Problems? Let Me Tell You Why This Week Can Resolve Them. Finally!

Cosmic Weather Forecast — October 15 – October 21

So, this month’s New Moon in Libra is all about relationships.

And, I’ve got some good news for you…

With Venus, the ruler of Libra, being in her sign of Libra, it’s a great week to set things on the right course, and this New Moon is a powerful catalyst to putting your relationships on the right path.  New relationships are favored now and have a high chance of succeeding under the New Moon’s favorable gaze.

Additionally, this week, Mercury moves into probing Scorpio.  Mercury in Scorpio is like your private detective because you are now able to see problems lurking beneath the surface, and you can get to the root of the issues.  This will give you the ability to solve problems more effectively because you can understand the motives and intentions of others.

In other astrological news, this week is not only good for relationships; business is favored as well.  With the Sun sextiling Saturn on Monday and Mercury conjoining Jupiter on Wednesday, it’s an amazing time to get things done and see the big picture necessary to take things to the next level.

The only hiccup this week is Uranus forming difficult aspects to Mercury and the Sun. In order to work with Uranus positively, it’s necessary to explore your horizons, do something different, shake things up, and not react rigidly to changes as they arise.  Otherwise, you may feel nervous and anxious, leading to reactive emotions.  And, that’s a color that doesn’t look good on anyone.

Astrological Forecast for Libra 2017!

Welcome to Libra Season

Why do we need a crisis to change?

I’ve thought about this a lot, and believe me; I am just as guilty as anyone else.

We all seem to coast through life when there is no conflict.  It’s like nothing in the world is going to affect us, and we are just going with the flow.

Then, all hell breaks loose, and the entire world comes crashing down around us.

And, that my friends, is the energy of the month of Libra this year.

Now, I am not someone that believes that we should just stick our heads in the sand.  Instead, it’s time for us to get to work!

So, let’s roll up our sleeves and do this.

The chart for the month of Libra – despite its difficulties is rather instructive.  Its primary focus is on our insecurities setting our reality.

As many of you know, I start ingress charts with the 4th house because I believe it describes the emotional weather forecast for the month, and its energy can completely dominate a chart.

The sign of Taurus sits on the 4th house cusp.  The sign of Taurus is conservative and does not like change.  It likes to protect its territory and security and foundation is very important to the sign of the bull.  It signifies that the next month is going to involve focusing on the ‘basic ground’ that matters to us.

Saturn makes an interesting aspect to the 4th house cusp – an inconjunct.  Inconjuncts are aspects of crisis (they correspond with the 6th and 8th houses).  Saturn sits in the group-oriented 11th house and rules the 12th (self-undoing) and the 1st.  Saturn signifies that outside influences could frustrate our sense of security, and we may need to let go of some things that we have been holding onto, which is not going to make Taurus all that happy. Taurus likes to hold onto EVERYTHING.  However, Saturn also questions whether what we are holding onto is based upon a real desire or because of our insecurities.

The ruler of Taurus – Venus – sits in the 7th house in Virgo.  Venus in the 7th house gives us our first clue on how to deal with Taurus:  How do we manage (Virgo is a lovely management sign) our day to day lives and how are we participating in our relationships.

I mean how often do we look at these things?

I am often amazed when I talk to people that they consider these things when they are going through struggles and difficulties.  I think it’s universal, we start to think about managing our time more effectively or who in our life has meaning to us.  We start to think about whether our careers are sustaining us or whether we should spend a little less.  The main thing is that we attempt to bring order into our lives.

Venus forms a conjunction to Mars, which rules the 3rd house of communication.  This conjunction reflects that we may need to communicate what we want more effectively, and this dovetails into Venus’s opposition to Neptune, which means that we may not necessarily be in touch with our real values.  So, this gives us another clue – what do we currently value in our lives?  What is important?

The next part of the ingress chart that I analyze is the Ascendant.  The Ascendant reveals the path we are going to take over the next month.

The sign of Capricorn is rising.  Capricorn is about ambition and how we are going to achieve something in the world.  When the sign of the goat is rising, our focus is on giving our lives some form of meaning where we feel that we are participating and adding something to our lives.

There is nothing wrong with this, and in fact, its encouraged.   The difficulty with it this month is the Moon and Uranus square the Ascendant.  The Moon signifies changes and Uranus signifies disruption, which can easily lead to being sensitive to obstacles and feelings of frustration.  This is complicated by Saturn (the ruler of Capricorn) being in the 11th house.  Saturn in the 11th likes to do things alone and often has difficulties reaching out and accepting help from others, and since Mercury forms a square to Saturn, this energy is amplified because the aspect is not known for its communication savvy.  In fact, Mercury square Saturn often leads to feelings of depression and insecurities.

Now, let’s get to the Sun in Libra.

The Sun in Libra likes harmony and balance.  In the sign of the scales, the Sun is considered in detriment, and the reason is that Libra is the sign of the ‘other,’ which causes our focus to be on our relationships, partnerships, competitors, and even our open enemies.

The Sun is in the 8th house and makes no aspects.  I recently attended a webinar by Liz Greene on Pluto, and she described planets that are unaspected in the best way that I have ever heard.  She said, and I paraphrase, that these planets are like tenants tied up in a basement.  They have little contact with the outside world, and once they are trigged (by something or somebody – italics mine), they tend to burst out into consciousness and often in ways that throw us into crisis, which I find rather fitting with this Sun hidden in the dark of the 8th house.

The Sun’s purpose in the chart is to encourage us to grow.  Now, we have a choice.  We can look inside and do this on our own, or the will set up circumstances that will force us to grow in one-way other another.  I think it is encouraging us to take a deep look at what is going on in our lives right now, and make changes accordingly – especially if we are dissatisfied with the current state of our lives.  We can use this Libra season to make active changes in our lives and begin to get on the right path.

In other words, happiness is an option!

The Universe Has Your Back:

I pulled a card from Gabrielle Bernstein’s new deck, “The Universe Has Your Back,” to help us with Libra season.  I find it self-explanatory.

Journal Prompts:

What am I holding onto because I feel insecure about letting it go?

What do I currently value in my life?

Should I reach out to others for help?

Am I being plagued by negative thoughts?

Do I feel stuck and blocked by outer circumstances?

What can I do to move my life in the direction I would like it to go?  What changes can I make to feel in control of my life?

See you next month!
