Astrology Forecast for the Week of August 8, 2022 through August 14, 2022

The astrology forecast for the week of August 8, 2022 through August 14, 2022 features five planetary aspects (Venus oppose Pluto, Sun square Uranus, Mars sextile Neptune, the Sun opposes Saturn, and Mars trine Pluto), a Full Moon in Aquarius and Venus moving out of Cancer and into Leo.

So, for the fourth week in a row, it’s going to be a busy week. Let’s dive in…

Cosmic Overview

Last week, Mars got tangled up in the ongoing Saturn square Uranus configuration. This week, it is the Sun whose up to bat. Whereas Mars is our ability to go out into the world and get what we want out of life, the Sun is our identity and our destiny.

Now, this is difficult energy, but every aspect has a purpose. In the case of Sun square Uranus and Sun oppose Saturn, the purpose is to get us to make the necessary changes in our lives, to get us back on the right path.

Of course, when our lives are running smoothly, who wants to make change?  However, when the world impinges itself upon us through daily frustrations, obstacles, and limitations, we notice where we need to make changes, where we need to build structure, and ultimately helps us (despite the difficulty) get back on our path.  Since we are working with the Sun, creating necessary change will ultimately help you experience fulfillment and joy.

Now, on with the forecast!

Daily Breakdown

Monday, August 8, 2022

We start the week off with the Moon void of course in Sagittarius. Try to avoid starting anything new or signing documents until the Moon moves into Capricorn at 2:39 PM EDT/10:39 AM PDT. Once the Moon moves into Capricorn, it’s an excellent time to tie up loose ends, focus on tasks that need completion, and tend to duties and responsibilities.

Tuesday, August 9, 2022

Venus in Cancer opposes Pluto in Capricorn. It’s time to get real about relationships, regardless of how painful and emotionally intense they may be. Conflicts in relationships may surface, and it’s best to avoid manipulative power struggles. Often Venus oppose Pluto will show you how you are being codependent in your relationships.  The key to working with this aspect is to accept the relationship dynamic for what it is – the good, the bad, and the ugly.  You can then make decisions about the relationship’s future, if need be. Govern yourself accordingly!

Wednesday, August 10, 2022

The Moon moves through Capricorn, and there is still residual energy from yesterday’s Venus-Pluto opposition.  It might be best to focus on your duties, obligations, and responsibilities, and try to push away intrusive negative or obsessive thoughts if they surface. This afternoon, the Moon moves into Aquarius, and it’s a perfect time to hang out with a close friend or someone you trust.

Thursday, August 11, 2022

On Thursday, the Full Moon occurs in the sign of Aquarius at 9:36 PM EDT/6:36 PM PDT. This Full Moon cycle is excellent for breaking through stagnant situations (especially karmic ones), developing better friendships, expanding your social circle, and opening yourself up to new experiences. Also, Venus moves into romantic Leo, and for the single people out there, you may find yourself attracted to someone new. For everyone else, you may start to feel romantically alive again, but don’t let your emotions go overboard, and try to let things manifest organically.

Friday, August 12, 2022

The Moon will be void of course in Aquarius during the early morning hours. Therefore, avoid starting anything new or making firm agreements until after 2:44 PM EDT/11:44 PM PDT, when the Moon will move into Pisces.  This evening is an excellent time to watch movies, explore the arts, or simply enjoy good music.  The Moon in Pisces is perfect for rest and relaxation, and after the intense energies of the past month, you deserve it.

Saturday, August 13, 2022

The Moon continues to move through Pisces on Saturday. Try to be as clear and precise as possible when communicating with others, because the Moon will oppose Mercury until mid-afternoon.  Later, Saturday evening, it’s an excellent time to do something outside the box and unconventional. Discovering and exploring new things is always recommended when the Moon sextiles Uranus. It’s also a good time to spend the evening with friends and other like-minded individuals.

Sunday, August 14, 2022

We close the week with the Sun opposing Saturn in Aquarius. The Sun oppose Saturn is a difficult aspect, because we often feel alone and at odds with the world around us. You may also feel that people are trying to hold you back or are trying to thwart you.  Ultimately, you may need to make compromises (big and small) to gain momentum again.

See you next week!

Astrology Forecast for the Week of February 21, 2022 – February 27, 2022

The astrology forecast for the week of February 21, 2022 through February 27, 2022 features three major aspects, all grouped in the middle of the week – Mars sextile Neptune, Venus sextile Neptune, and Mercury square Uranus.

Cosmic Overview

The cosmic event of the week is Mercury in Aquarius (now out of shadow) square Uranus in Taurus. If there is a week in which cabin fever will kick into high gear, this is the one!

Mercury square Uranus gets bored with the same old monotonous day-to-day activities, and will seek out new things, often impulsively, to add some excitement to everyday life. Now, this is fine and dandy and usually goes smoothly with a sextile or trine, but since this is a square, the erratic nature of the aspect can be problematic. For many (yes mutable signs, I’m talking to you), there will be an urge to throw duties and responsibilities out the window in favor of excitement and exploring new things. However, this can come with consequences, so try to think things out before throwing caution to the wind.

Another feature of Mercury square Uranus is that your thoughts will be fast and furious. You will be inspired by new ideas and interests, and will want to explore them. Intuitive hunches or insights may be amplified while this aspect is active. But, if you have difficulties controlling the onslaught of mental activity, you could end up feeling anxious or nervous. As best as possible, try to focus on one thing and leave the others for another day. Obviously, it’s best not to focus on projects that need focus and concentration.

Daily Breakdown

Monday, February 21, 2022

The Moon moves through emotionally intense Scorpio. The morning hours should be relatively harmonious and stress free, with the Moon forming a lovely trine to the Sun in Pisces. However, during the evening hours, the Moon squares Mercury, and it would be best to avoid emotionally charged conversations. Try to wait until the cosmic energies are more favorable and your emotions have simmered, before proceeding with any course of action.

Tuesday, February 22, 2022

It’s going to be a challenging day, as the Moon continues to move through Scorpio and forms a tense square to Saturn. You may go through feelings of insecurities and self-doubt throughout the day. The good news is that during the late afternoon, the Moon will sextile Venus and Mars, which should lighten the mood and energy through the evening hours. It’s an excellent time to escape the problems of the real world and do something enjoyable.

Wednesday, February 23, 2022

Mars forms a lovely sextile to Neptune in Pisces. Wednesday is not the most energetic day, because Mars in aspect to Neptune is more introspective and contemplative than he is aggressive. It’s an excellent day to ponder your goals and the current state of your life. You may even realize that you need to course correct and take a different path. Additionally, you may be emotionally sensitive to the needs of others, and could be called upon to help someone in need.

Thursday, February 24, 2022

Besides Mercury forming a square to Uranus, Venus sextiles Neptune. It’s an excellent day for love and romance, and if you are in a relationship, it’s the perfect night for a date or to spend time together.  You will be sensitive to the needs of your partner and willing to provide them with the support they need. For the single people, it’s an auspicious time to explore the arts and engage with things you love and find beautiful.

Friday, February 25, 2022

The Moon enters dutiful Capricorn at 11:29 AM EST/8:29 PST. Today is about focusing on your duties, responsibilities, and ambitions. Job and career issues may be a central focus throughout the day. Later this evening, you may want to let your hair down and have some fun as the Moon sextiles the Sun in Pisces.

Saturday, February 26, 2022

The Moon continues to move through Capricorn and forms favorable aspects to Uranus and Jupiter.  It’s a great day to shake things up and do things outside the box. Approaching things in new ways may bring insight and inner revelation. Also, pay close attention to opportunities that may seem far-fetched, they may be the key to opening the door to everything.

Sunday, February 27, 2022

The early morning hours will be filled with intensity as the Moon conjoins Venus, Mars, and Pluto. You may need to closely manage your emotions and keep a close watch on your tongue. It’s easy to say something you may later regret if you are emotionally charged. The good news is that the Moon moves into Aquarius later in the day, which should improve your mood enormously. Spend the afternoon socializing and connecting with your social circle.

See you next week!

Cosmic Weather Forecast – March 4, 2019 – March 10, 2019

So, we have a bucket load of astrological energy that occurs this week.  Change is on the horizon and a new cycle begins that will influence our lives over the next 7 years when Uranus leaves fiery Aries and enters earthy Taurus.  Uranus is a tricky planet because it’s not personal, but collective.  This means that Uranus symbolizes urges that are greater than one person and reflects the natural progression of human evolution, and therefore, has broad consequences.  As Uranus enters earthy Taurus, security finances, and inner resources will be highlighted and since Uranus tends to shake things up, we can expect these sensitive areas of life to dramatically be affected.

When dealing with the outer planets (Uranus, Neptune, Pluto, and Eris), our best guide is history because planetary themes tend to repeat.  The last time Uranus moved into Taurus was in 1934 and continued through the beginning of World War 2.  Notice this began after the market crash of 1929 and during the Great Depression that occurred through the 1930s.  These financial problems and uncertainties and damage they caused, especially to Germany, led to nationalism, protectionism, and ultimately World War 2 when Germany invaded Poland.

As I am writing this post, the themes of nationalism and protectionism in the United States and parts of Europe are repeating.  Threats of tariffs and economic insecurity are leading to fears of potential economic collapse in the US and around the world.   Sanctions against countries and backroom deals are reminiscent of Article 231 of the Treaty of Versailles, which blamed World War 1 entirely on Germany and the financial reparations placed a heavy burden on the German people, which led to the rise of the NAZI party.

Now, this doesn’t mean that we are on the verge of a world war, and a war in the 21st century may not look like anything that occurred in the past, but the themes are repeating, and we can expect changes in national finances and national resources.  We will question, on the collective level, what security means and whether inner resources and values ultimately mean more than physical ones.

We are in for a wild ride, but every astrological aspect has two faces – negative and positive. We can expect changes in currency, improved banking technologies, and scientific discoveries that will improve the health of the human body, which is perhaps our most valuable resource.

These are two other astrological events this week – Mercury goes retrograde and the New Moon occurs in watery Pisces.  First up is Mercury retrograde, Mercury retrograde reflects a period of reflection and introspection that lasts for three weeks.  During the retrograde, we can expect difficulties with communication, electronic devices will go awry, and travel plans may fall apart, try to prepare for these mishaps beforehand.  Secondly, the New Moon occurs on Wednesday in Pisces.  This is a great New Moon to do intention or magical work to bring compassion, joy, and enhanced spiritual connection into your life.

Now, on with the forecast…
