Astrology Forecast and Horoscopes For the Week of June 21, 2021 – June 27, 2021

The astrology and horoscope forecast for the week of June 21, 2021 – June 27, 2021, features one of the most positive aspects of the year, Venus moving into Leo and Mercury finally turning direct in Gemini.

Can I get an AMEN?

Let’s begin with the cosmic weather event that occurred late on Sunday (in North America): The Sun moved out of Gemini and into Cancer and marked the official beginning of summer in the North Hemisphere and winter in the Southern Hemisphere.

As we move through Cancer season, we leave the airy mental heights of Gemini and dive into the waters of the sign of the crab. In astrology, water signs are nurturing, compassionate, empathic, craves connections and emotional reliability.  So, Cancer season is about finding the emotional sustenance that we need, connecting with those we care about and building emotional reliability through those connections.  Also, in the mystical kabbalah, Cancer is the sign associated with healing and removing disease (dis-ease) by clearing negative behavior patterns that may be blocking us from living the life we want to live.

Now, there is good news this Cancer season.  Jupiter will be in the sign of Pisces and forms a sign-based trine to the Sun.  Last year, during Cancer season, there was an aura of uncertainty, confusion, isolation, and despair hovering over everything during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. This year this has changed (even though we are still in the pandemic), and we will go through Cancer season looking forward to all the potentials and possibilities we can create in the future.

Now, on with the forecast…

Mercury Turns Direct in Gemini

Although Mercury turning direct in Gemini is not the best news of the week, it is right up there with it as Mercury changes course on June 22nd. During the first part of the week, expect another onslaught of communications problems, electronic devices acting up, and plans to go awry. However, as the week goes on, Mercury will slowly move forward.  It’s a great time to clear up any communication problems, disagreements and attempt to repair any damage caused during the retrograde.  You are also free to make plans and decisions once again.

Sun in Cancer trine Jupiter in Pisces

In astrology, the Sun trine Jupiter is one of the most favorable days of the year, so positive that it should provide somewhat of a protective shield from the worst of Venus oppose Pluto (although Aries, Cancer, Libra, and Capricorn may feel the effects of Venus square Pluto stronger).

The Sun and Jupiter are both fiery planets, and even though they are both in water signs, there is still a feeling of optimism, and our focus will be on future potentials and possibilities. Sun trine Jupiter is hopeful, which will be a pretty different attitude than the last couple of years when Saturn was in Capricorn and opposing the Sun, which can be a big downer.  Also, this aspect augurs a time when you can take a risk or a gamble on pursuing new opportunities in your life.  If you have been waiting for a great window of time to start something new, now is the time to act.

Full Moon in Capricorn

This week we have a Full Moon in earthy Capricorn, and we officially end eclipse season. Now, in astrology, the sign of Capricorn is not as glamorous as Leo or Sagittarius, nor is it as people-oriented as Libra or Aquarius.

Capricorn is an earth sign that is concerned with practical realities.  So, during this Full Moon cycle, issues surrounding duties, obligations, and responsibilities will surface.  The Capricorn Full Moon instructs us to look at how we utilize our practical resources (most importantly time and money) and look at whether our choices and decisions are adding to our lives or subtracting from it.  Since Saturn rules Capricorn, you may need to look at your boundaries and limits and decide whether they are too rigid or too malleable. But mainly, this Full Moon cycle is about letting go of everything that is not adding to your successes in life.

Venus in Leo

Finally, on Saturday, Venus moves out of emotional Cancer and into fiery Leo.

One of my favorite moves is Grease with John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John, not because the movie was popular, but because the character of Sandy makes choices about love and pleasure.

In the movie, Sandy wants a serious relationship with Danny, the rebel hero of the film.  Danny is part of the T-Birds, a group of oversexualized grease balls that shy away from commitment and responsibility and instead thrives on fun and sexual pleasures.

Sandy spends most of the movie trying to be acknowledged and respected by Danny but fails until she understands her desires, wants and needs, and can express her expectations.  Once she discovers her value, she transforms into a siren with the powers to lure Danny and convince him (through song) to give her what she wants.

Sandy is a perfect image of Venus in Leo.  While Venus is in Leo, we should focus on our wants and desires, our expectations of love relationships, and the value of being respected and acknowledged for who we are. After all, every queen (or king) deserves the best, and that includes you!

Weekly Horoscopes

(Read the horoscopes for your Sun sign and your rising sign if you know it.)

Aries

Family matters highlight the beginning of the week for you as the Sun moves into Cancer and your solar 4th house. It’s a great week to redecorate, tend to your flowers and plants, and reach out to those you care for. Later in the week, the Full Moon lands in your solar 10th house of work and career.  You may experience opposition from others on the work front, but don’t let them drag you down because it’s your time to shine.  This weekend, romance fills the air as Venus joins sexy Mars in your solar 5th house of passion and pleasure.

Taurus

Communicating and socializing with friends and associates may be a significant focus throughout the week.  Music and the creative arts show up prominently in your horoscope and a good way for you to relax and relieve stress. Later in the week, focusing on big picture goals will help you map out your future. This weekend, Venus moves into your solar 4th house, and your best bet would be enjoying the pleasures and comforts of home.

Gemini

Someone may present to you a financial opportunity that is too good to be true. Think wisely before making decisions that you may ultimately regret. On Tuesday, your planetary ruler Mercury goes direct in your solar 1st house, and it’s a great time to clear up any communication flap that occurred. Later in the week, power struggles may be a thorn in your relationships, but don’t fret; Venus moves into Leo, and love will be in the air once again.

Cancer

This week the Sun leaves the past behind and is focused on the future as it moves into your solar 1st house.  You may notice an increase in energy and a noticeable improvement in your self-confidence.  Later in the week, the Full Moon in your solar 7th house brings relationship issues center stage.  However, a resolution to any conflicts should be your priority, and you should repair any damage that may have occurred.

Leo

It’s time for your shining light to go on hiatus to recharge your batteries and prepare for a new solar year next month. Problems from the past may resolve themselves this week to your advantage. Financial issues may surface towards the end of the week, and you may need to focus on your fiscal situation more frequently. This weekend Venus moves into your solar 1st house, and for you single Leos, new love interests may enter along with her.

Virgo

This week starts with new creative partnerships that may potentially prove lucrative at the beginning of the week.  Additionally, your social circle will have your back and will help you level up when you need it the most. Mercury turns direct in your solar 10th house on Tuesday, and all the career tensions you’ve experienced recently will slowly improve. Later this week, the Full Moon lands in your solar 5th house of fun and pleasure.  Take some time to squeeze in activities you enjoy.

Libra

Your generous nature may come out center stage, and someone may call on your help at the beginning of the week. Further, you may be required to make sacrifices on the career front for the greater good. Later in the week, the Full Moon happens in your solar 4th house.  If you want to sell property, put your home on the market, or purchase a new property, this Full Moon cycle is the time to do it. This weekend, if you had a falling out with a friend or loved one during the retrograde, opportunities to repair the damage will present themselves. Be open, honest, and transparent.

Scorpio

The Sun moves into Cancer at the beginning of the week and into your solar 9th house.  It’s time to focus on the big picture and map out your goals for the future. Spiritual matters or concerns will be a central theme this week, and it’s a great time to get in touch with your inner feelings.  Issues concerning a sibling or close friend may surface with the Full Moon in your solar 3rd house.  This weekend, Venus moves into Leo and activates your career sector. It’s time to stand out from the crowd and be acknowledged for the work you do.

Sagittarius

This week, the Sun moves into your solar 8th house, and it’s time to clear up your debts and make good on your obligations. At the beginning of the week, you may find pleasure and enjoyment in your creative pursuits.  On Tuesday, Mercury turns direct in your solar 7th house. You are now free to pursue business deals, forge alliances, and start projects.  The Full Moon this week lands in your financial sector, and new financial opportunities and business-related projects will be prosperous. If you want to get away for a weekend, it’s a great time to do so with Venus moving into your solar 9th house.

Capricorn

Relationship issues will be your primary focus throughout Cancer season, with the Sun moving into your solar 7th house. At the beginning of the week, deep conversations with others will provide you with much-needed soul food. You may even discover truths about yourself that you never considered before. The Full Moon occurs this week in your sign, and it’s a great time to build yourself up by releasing everything (and everyone) that’s no longer adding to your life. Later in the week, a friendship or partnership may come to an end. Let it go! Continuing to focus on people that were in your life for a season will steal your joy.

Aquarius

This week your primary focus will be on completing tasks and day-to-day activities that may have piled up recently. At the beginning of the week, someone may call on you to help with their problems. Be as compassionate and understanding as possible, but keep firm boundaries. Later in the week, financial improvement is possible through unexpected sources. The Full Moon occurs in your solar 12th house, and problems from the past may resurface and need resolution. The good news is that this weekend, Venus moves into your solar 7th house and heats up your love life.

Pisces

Your creative juices may steadily flow this week as the Sun moves into your solar 5th house. Issues with a child or children may also be a focus. At the beginning of the week, you may feel more romantic than usual as Venus forms a favorable aspect to Neptune.  On Tuesday, opportunities to resolve family disputes may occur as Mercury turns direct in your solar 4th house. Later in the week, the Full Moon lands in your friendship sector, and you may attract new people into your life that share your values and interests. Finally, this weekend, you may find yourself knee-deep in beautifying your surroundings.

See you next week!

The Astrology Forecast and Horoscopes for June 7, 2021 – June 13, 2021

Solar Eclipse “Elements of this image furnished by NASA “

The astrology and horoscope forecast for the week beginning June 7, 2021, features a solar eclipse in Gemini, Mars moving into Leo, and a befuddling Sun square Neptune.

But let’s begin with the obvious – Mercury is retrograde in Gemini until June 22.

Even though Mercury is moving again, albeit slowly, we will continue to experience Mercury retrograde issues.  Expect problems with communication, electronic devices, plans, and it’s best to avoid signing documents or making decisions unless you have no other choice.

Astrology Hot Spots

Solar Eclipse in Gemini:

This week we have a solar eclipse in the sign of Gemini.  Now ordinarily, solar eclipses usually affect heads of state, government leaders, high-powered corporate execs, and notable personalities on the world stage.  The good news is that solar eclipses are not as potent as lunar eclipses (In astrology, the Moon rules ordinary people).

Since the sign of Gemini involves communication, during the eclipse, you may have difficulty communicating with others or getting your point across.  Further, you may have trouble understanding others as well. As with all eclipses, it is recommended that you slow down, practice self-care, and hydrate.  Since the eclipse is square Neptune, I would also recommend avoiding alcohol and mood-altering substances.  The solar eclipse happens on Thursday at 6:53 AM EST.

Mars in Leo:

This week, Mars moves out of Cancer and into fiery Leo.  In astrology, Mars is in his fall in Cancer, so he will appreciate moving into a sign more to his liking – and so will you!  If your ‘get up and go’ has been broken over the last six weeks or you have been less energetic than usual, Mars in Leo will help you get your mojo back.

Mars in Leo is energetic, motivating, and likes to get things done.  This is one of Mars’s best placements if you need a jolt of courage (remember that cowardly lion in the Wizard of Oz?).  You may also find that your creative juices will flow steadily.  Mars does tangle with Saturn and Uranus while he is in Leo, but I will cover the astrology of that next month.

Mars remains in Leo until July 29.

Sun square Neptune:

Now and then, we all need a break, and Sunday is the day to do it since the Sun squares Neptune in Pisces.

In astrology, while the Sun is in Gemini, he likes to socialize, communicate with others, and share ideas and opinions.  But sometimes, we can go into information overload and just need a break, and Neptune is more than happy to oblige.

This weekend, you may have the urge to disconnect from the rest of the world, cancel plans, and do nothing of importance. Instead, you may want to spend the day resting, enjoying some music, or watching a movie.  Chilling will be your primary objective.

However, one bit of caution, avoid putting too much faith in the wrong people because they most likely will let you down.

Weekly Horoscopes

Aries:

Financial issues may be a concern at the beginning of the week but should be resolved quickly.  Communication issues with close friends or siblings may surface during the solar eclipse, leaving you bewildered and confused.  However, your mojo should return on Friday when your ruler Mars moves into Leo. Do something that you enjoy and pleases you this weekend.

Taurus:

At the beginning of the week, you may need to make your desires a priority with the Moon moving through your solar 1st house. Towards the middle of the week, your finances may be a concern as the solar eclipse triggers your financial sector. Expect unresolved family issues to surface this weekend when Mars switches signs, but you will find that you have the upper hand. If someone asks to borrow money, think twice because they probably won’t pay you back.

Gemini:

Gemini, even you may experience information overload and may need to disconnect and rest at the beginning of the week, but do not fret; your social needs will bounce back on Friday when Mars moves into Leo.  The solar eclipse this week occurs in your solar 1st house and reflects a new cycle for you.  Release the old and embrace the new.  On Sunday, don’t trust everything you see or hear.

Cancer:

The solar eclipse this week may cause unresolved personal issues to resurface. You may feel confused and uncertain about the steps you need to take to resolve your problems.  The good news is that the strong focus in your solar 11th house means that a supportive friend or colleague may come to your rescue.  On Friday, as Mars moves into Leo, a burst of energy in the financial sector of your horoscope may brighten the next six weeks.

Leo:

Minor career disruptions may crop up at the beginning of the week, leaving you feeling annoyed, but this rain cloud will pass relatively quickly. The eclipse occurs in your solar 11th house, and you may need to make changes to your crew, especially when it becomes apparent that there is a snake in your midst. The good news is that this week Mars moves into your sign on Friday and begins a new cycle of motivation and optimism that should last for the next six weeks.

Virgo:

The solar eclipse this season lands in your career sector, and now is the time to take things to the next level because your reputation and continued success may depend on it.  However, be careful of acting too rashly because Mars in Leo will move through your unfortunate 12th house for the next six weeks.  Although your career may be your central focus, make sure you devote enough attention to your relationships because your partners may not feel like they are a priority.  This weekend, someone new may enter your life that shares your beliefs.

Libra:

This week, what looks like a curse you may be able to channel into a blessing.  The eclipse occurs in your solar 9th house, and a new quest for knowledge will be your focus over the next six months. This may include studying new subjects or traveling to discover other cultures. On Friday, Mars moves into your friendship sector, and you may feel like the belle of the ball as your popularity soars.  However, take some time to rest on Sunday because you deserve a break.

Scorpio:

The solar eclipse lands in your 8th house this week. Over the next six months, your primary focus may be on your financial obligations and debt reduction. The good news is that Mars moves into your career sector, and you may see a boost of energy, promotions, or improved standing that could increase your finances. This weekend, unexpected events will lead to a surprising understanding of yourself and others.

Sagittarius:

This week the eclipse lands in your solar 7th house of relationships and partnerships, but since Mercury rules your solar 10th house, business alliances may be a focus over the next six months.  On Friday,
Mars moves into Leo, and since you are a fire sign, your optimistic spirit will surge once again. This weekend, you will have a desire to try new things, especially if it makes you feel inspired.

Capricorn:

You may need to change your day-to-day activities as the eclipse lands in your solar 6th house.  This may include changes to your diet, exercise regime, and the amount of rest you get.  Mars moves into Leo on Friday, bringing family issues front and center over the next six weeks.  You may need to make a difficult decision you would rather avoid.  This weekend, do something exciting that helps break up the usual monotony.

Aquarius:

This week begins with mild family issues that should resolve themselves easily. You may notice that you are more focused on yourself than you usually are because the eclipse lands in your solar 5th house. Over the next six months, your primary focus will be on getting your personal needs met, but issues with children may also be a focus. On Friday, Mars moves into Leo, and your relationships will heat up. It’s also an excellent time for you single Aquarius folk to attract someone new if factors in your horoscope support it.

Pisces:

The eclipse this week lands in your solar 4th house of home and family.  Over the next six months, you may notice that your focus will be on family relations, connecting with those you are closest to, home repairs or making a move. Be cautious of family members hovering too closely because they may have a dubious hidden agenda.  On Friday, Mars moves into Leo, and your diet and personal fitness become an issue. Avoid foods that cause inflammation.

See you next week!

Astrology Forecast and Horoscopes for May 31, 2021 – June 6, 2021

Astrology Forecast and Horoscopes for May 31, 2021 – June 6, 2021

The astrology forecast for the week of May 31, 2021, features an energetically calmer week until we get to the weekend when all hell breaks loose.

So, make sure you enjoy the good vibes while they last!

Let’s dive in…

Astro Hot Spots:

Mercury Rx in Gemini / Mercury square Neptune

Just a reminder, Mercury turned retrograde on Saturday in a close applying square to Neptune in Pisces.  Throughout the week, communication will continue to break down until the exact conjunction on Saturday, June 5.   Expect misunderstandings, brain fog, and problems seeing the truth to be the significant themes throughout the week.  Also, as usual, during Mercury retrograde – avoid signing documents, making major decisions, and expect electronic devices to break down.

To learn more about the full impact of Mercury retrograde, you can read my article: Mercury Rx in Gemini 2021.

Venus in Cancer / Venus trine Jupiter

On Wednesday, Venus leaves social Gemini and enters Cancer.  In the sign of the crab, you will find that Venus is much more sentimental, affectionate and needs to feel like she belongs to someone.  You will be more sensitive to the actions and reactions of those you care about, especially family members and romantic interests. When Venus is in Cancer, I suggest that people stay at home and find activities that will help them create deeper bonds and lasting memories.  Venus remains in Cancer until June 27.

Immediately following Venus’ ingress into Cancer (Thursday), Venus will form a beneficial trine to Jupiter in Pisces. Venus trine Jupiter is a favorable aspect, and emotional situations that are currently experiencing difficulties may get some relief.  Your feelings towards others will improve, and you will have an increased need to connect with those you care for.  Additionally, this is a great time to repair any damage to relationships and get them moving in the right direction once again.

Venus trine Jupiter is also great for business meetings, negotiations, and all financial matters.  Just keep in mind that Mercury is retrograde before finalizing decisions.

Sun trine Saturn

Most of the time, when you hear an astrologer say the planet Saturn, you will listen to moans and groans that reflect the other person’s displeasure. Let me be frank – Saturn can be a difficult planet, especially when he is conjoined, squared, or opposed to another planet.  Just look at the cosmic tsunami unleashed in 2020 when Saturn conjoined a filled basket of inhabitants in Capricorn. However, the sextile and trines tend to bring out the ‘ringed one’ positive side.

On Thursday, the Sun forms a trine to Saturn in Aquarius, and this aspect tends to stabilize our lives. This doesn’t mean that problems will magically go away; instead, our outlook will be more balanced, and we are willing to put forth the effort to make things happen. Oh, and of course, we will be more disciplined.

Thursday and Friday are great days to accomplish something or complete a task.  Work and career-related matters should flow easily, and you may receive acknowledgment for your hard work. Just make sure that you get what you need finished by the weekend because the energies are pretty intense.

Mars opposes Pluto

Of all the planetary aspects, I find Mars oppose Pluto one of the most difficult to manage because we are more reactive when we are in situations that are difficult to control.  To make matters worse, the “nasties” (meaning nasty people) tend to crawl out of their caves and are in ‘full on’ attack mode.

You may find yourself at odds with others, especially if you feel controlled and manipulated. In its most extreme mode, Mars oppose Pluto can be violent, so avoid situations where conflict may occur. Mars opposes Pluto on Saturday afternoon.

Sign Breakdowns

Aries

You may need to make a concerted effort to keep a watch on your tongue as Mercury retrogrades in your solar 3rd house. Projects that involve discipline and the cooperation of others should flow smoothly midweek. Possible quarrels with family members may occur this weekend. Try to control your reaction to others, especially those on a powertrip.

Taurus

Mercury retrogrades through your solar 2nd house, and it’s time to put your financial affairs in order. This week is an excellent time to review banking information, due bills, and balance your checkbook to get to the bottom line.  Towards the middle of the week, you may receive recognition for a job well done. However, keep your opinions to yourself this weekend to avoid unnecessary conflicts.

Gemini

Geminis, you are in the hot seat this retrograde cycle because Mercury is moving through your sign. You may need to take an honest look at your life and make course corrections if required. Towards the middle of the week, career opportunities will allow you to shine.  However, this weekend, ghosts from the past may burst out of the closet, leaving you anxious and overwhelmed.

Cancer

This week Mercury retrograde moves through your solar 12th house, and it’s time to put the final nail in the coffin on unresolved situations.  You may find people that you have prior beef with resurfacing like a pack of hell hounds.  The good news is that once you resolve these issues, they will likely disappear once and for all.  This weekend avoid unnecessary relationship conflicts.

Leo

Mercury retrograde is going to wreak havoc in your solar 11th house of friends and associates.  You may spend the retrograde cycle dealing with a gossip or trouble maker forcing you to clear toxic people from your crew.  Reviewing your investments or overall fiscal picture may be a theme midweek. This weekend problematic people may try to affect your vibe. Ignore them if possible.

Virgo

Career-related issues will be your primary theme throughout the Mercury retrograde cycle.  You may feel that no matter how much effort you muster, it’s never enough to accomplish your goals.  You may receive some relief when a supportive friend rescues you with some advice and a dose of tender loving care.  Avoid arguments this weekend, especially with children or young people.

Libra

Mercury retrograde in your solar 9th house means that you need to check and recheck travel plans to ensure your trips go smoothly. Avoid unnecessary headaches by practicing due diligence. On Thursday, Venus moves into your solar 10th house and shines a spotlight on your career. Positive opportunities occur when you least expect them.  This weekend, stay on guard; someone may attempt to hurt your reputation. Nip it in the bud as quickly as possible.

Scorpio

Mercury retrograde moves through your debt-oriented solar 8th house.  You may need to take a close look at your finances and prepare for unexpected expenses.  Emotional conflicts may smooth over later in the week as the Sun trines Saturn.  But, this weekend, avoid arguments over opinions or political matters because it’s not worth the potential long-term damage.

Sagittarius

Relationship issues may be a problem during this Mercury retrograde cycle, mainly if past grievances or imbalance exists. You may have difficulties seeing your partners clearly, and it would be a wise decision to listen before you speak.  Close friends may be a source of support and security that you can rely on. This weekend, avoid places where conflict is likely to occur because it may put an avoidable dent in your wallet.

Capricorn

Work-related matters, schedules, and deadlines may be an unavoidable canker sore this Mercury retrograde season.  You may experience moments when you feel like you are getting the run around from those you depend on, forcing you to take on more than you can handle. Unexpected financial wins could occur midweek. Relationship conflicts may erupt when you least expect them over the weekend.

Aquarius

People from the past may resurface, leaving you both anxious and intrigued. Although you may initially like the attention, remember there is a reason you put them in the rearview mirror in the first place.  You may get an opportunity to have some fun towards the middle of the week, so take advantage of invites from others that may feed your social soul. Job-related issues may be a source of conflict this weekend.

Pisces

You may have problems with appliances or electronic devices as Mercury retrogrades through your solar 4th house.  These pesky annoyances could leave you rattled and anxious. The good news is that a knight (or lady) in shining armor may arrive when you need them the most, midweek.  This weekend, stay on guard; conflicts and arguments may irrevocably damage your friendships. Avoid argumentative people.

Mercury Retrograde in Gemini – May 29, 2021 – June 22, 2021

Mercury, the planet of communication, goes into trickster mode when he reverses course on May 28, 2021, at 6:34 PM EST.

So, I’ll give you a chance to scream and mutter before I give you the “Astro-Tea.”

Now that we have had a momentary fit, and the banshees have gone to wail elsewhere, let’s dig in…

Mercury Rx Dirty Dozen! Tips and Tricks to Wrangling the Trickster God

Let’s begin with the recommendations (Notice I didn’t use the lists of should or should not?  Mainly because we should never should on ourselves).

  1. Make sure you go over anything contractual thoroughly.  Make sure all the i’s are dotted, and all the t’s are crossed. If you can get away with it, wait until after the retrograde is over (June 22) to sign on the dotted line.
  2. Avoid starting anything new.  New projects tend to have communication problems and mishaps when initiated during this process.
  3. Put a watch on your tongue.  (If it is not worth saying, don’t say it)
  4. Check your vehicles for any potential problems.  Before Mercury goes retrograde is the best time for a service call.
  5. Avoid buying real estate or renting apartments.  Usually, this means you are just going to move again during a future Mercury Rx.
  6. Using mail delivery services that offer tracking and insurance – especially now since the Post Office has still not recovered from the pandemic.
  7. Check, recheck, and check again any travel plans you have or appointments that are on the books.
  8. If you do travel, don’t take anything of importance or value. Only bring items that you do not care if they are lost or stolen.
  9. Expect people from the past to resurface.  However, once they do crawl out of whatever cavern they came from, proceed with caution.
  10. Back up all electronic devices.
  11. Avoid buying an automobile.
  12. Mercury Rx is an excellent time to scour places (online and offline) for great deals!

Now, that is some list.  But, if you want to avoid the most annoying tricks Mercury has up his sleeve, it is wise to pay close attention and organize (Mercury loves that word) accordingly.

The Astro-Tea

Mercury is the planet of travel, commercial matters, business transactions, and communication for those of you not in the know.  Three to four times a year, Mercury (and he is the only planet that retrogrades that frequently) begins to move backward through the zodiac, at least from the visual perspective of the Earth. This is known as Mercury Retrograde or abbreviated Mercury Rx.

This go around, Mercury retrogrades in Gemini, the sign he rules. Now, some may say that is a good thing, but in my experience, planets that go retrograde in their sign can be more intense; you can expect that Mercury will serve up more tricks this retrograde season.  The mutable signs – Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, and Pisces, need to be cautious because Mercury forms challenging aspects to your signs.  For Aries, Leo, Libra, and Aquarius, you will still receive plenty of tricks, but they will not have as tough of an impact.  Finally, signs in aversion to Gemini (Taurus, Cancer, Scorpio, and Capricorn) may have the most challenging ride because it is difficult to create a relationship with a planet you cannot see you may need to always stay on guard.

Mercury Rx square Neptune

As if Mercury retrograde was not bad enough, Mercury is applying to a problematic aspect to Neptune. Mercury square Neptune is a highly confusing aspect, and at times you may find it difficult to think clearly and unable to form the right words. People may misinterpret what you say, and equally, your ability to understand them will be challenging.  Most importantly, take any information you receive with a grain of salt because ‘the truth’ can be somewhat elusive while this aspect is active.  Try your hardest to be clear and concise with everything you say.

Mercury Rx conjoins Venus

Mercury also retrogrades close to a conjunction with Venus, the love goddess. Since Mercury Rx has a reputation for wanting to “run it back” (that’s hip-speak for repeat things), you can expect past relationships to resurface. Although the latest episode of “Return of the X” may be exhilarating, usually the same problems surface.  There is a purpose for this: Mercury wants to see if you learned the lesson the first time around, or do you need to go around the mountain of pain and heartbreak once again?

Hopefully, I have not terrified you to the point that you are ready to run to your bunker. Mercury retrograde does serve an essential purpose.  He allows you to review (he loves words that begin with re) and reflect on the past three months and take note of what has worked for you and where you may need to change your game plan. Additionally, if you have made some choices, you would like to re-do (notice that re), now would be the time to decide what changes you would like to make and act once Mercury goes direct on June 22.

As a final note, Mercury in Gemini likes things fast-paced.  He doesn’t stand still and can seem frantic at times. If you feel like you are on the wrong side of a mental hurricane, take some time and slow down. Take a break from the noise whenever you can.  And, if something annoys you (I’ll have to limit my social media time), stay away from it.

I will break down how Mercury Rx will affect every sign in my weekly astrology forecast.  Watch this space!

Blood Moon Lunar Eclipse in Sagittarius – May 26, 2021

Lights, camera, action!  Guess what?  It’s eclipse season, and the following month is a blockbuster-filled cosmic event that will surely keep you on the edge of your seat. So, get your popcorn ready the show begins on May 26th at 7:14 AM EDT.

On Wednesday, the blood moon lunar eclipse (a fancy power-packed Full Moon) occurs at 5 degrees of Sagittarius. For those of you with planets in Gemini or Sagittarius, this eclipse may have a more substantial impact, so stay on your toes!

Now, whenever I think about the sign of Sagittarius, I think of epic action films such as Raiders of the Lost Ark or Lara Croft. It’s big, bold, and filled with adventure and intrigue. Sagittarius is grand theater and reflects our quest for meaning that is greater than the lives that we live in the real world.  It’s the epic superhero motif complete with ‘justice’ that Sagittarius loves. After all, superheroes need a villain they can defeat to make things right in the world.

Being a fire sign, Sagittarius wants to inspire, think outside the box, and provide us with the potentials and possibilities of a better tomorrow.  More simply, the energy of Sagittarius is about having faith in something good to believe in once again.

But what about this eclipse business?

The Anatomy of an Eclipse:

Twice a year, we enter into eclipse season.  An eclipse occurs when a lunation (that’s a new or full moon) conjoins the lunar nodes.  They happen approximately every six months.  Eclipses are supercharged New or Full Moons and are significant when considering transits and progressions because they often act as triggers for slow-moving planetary transits.

This Blood Moon Lunar Eclipse is an eclipse that involves the South Node.  In transformational astrology, the nodal axis reflects energies that we need to incorporate into our lives (North Node) and energies we need to let go of to remove potential obstacles (South Node). Since this eclipse is in Sagittarius, Sagittarian themes are what we need to release.

Lunar Eclipse in Sagittarius:

As I mentioned above, the sign of Sagittarius is about meaning, and one of the areas that most of our personal meaning comes from is our beliefs.  Beliefs are tricky because they are as individualistic as our fingerprints.  Many of us have similar ideas, but they have an individual overlay, and like most things, change over time.

During this eclipse, we may need to test our beliefs and let go of ones that no longer have meaning or release ones that are no longer of personal use. In many ways, we can view this as the end of one storyline and the beginning of a new one, or more simply put, for the new to emerge (usually during a New Moon cycle), we need to release the old.

So, a proactive way of using this eclipse is to take some time to look at your beliefs, let go of the ones that are no longer useful, and begin a new quest to find new ones that resonate with the person you are now.

Jupiter, Lord of the Eclipse:

Another thing to consider is Jupiter. Jupiter is not only the ruler of Sagittarius, but he is also the Lord of the Eclipse, and he is currently in the sign he rules, Pisces.

I’ve mentioned in other forecasts that Jupiter in Pisces has to do with dreams, not the ones we have at night while sleeping (although eclipses may trigger those), but our aspirations and ideals. Since Jupiter is in square to the eclipse, one of the issues that may surface is that our beliefs may not align with our dreams, and to level up, we need to modify them to manifest what we desire.

Hopefully, this gives you at least some food for thought and helps you work with this eclipse productively. It is also essential that you take care of yourself during eclipse season because the energies can be difficult on the body. Eat good foods, drink plenty of water, move your body, and get lots of rest.

Your Personal Eclipse:

The Blood Moon Lunar Eclipse occurs in the sign of Sagittarius, and we all have the sign of Sagittarius in our charts through the astrological houses. If you know your chart, then you can locate what house the eclipse occurs in and add another layer of meaning.  I will break down the eclipse based on your solar houses for those of you who do not know your rising sign.  However, if you know your rising sign, you can read that for additional insight.

Aries:   The need to let go of beliefs and idealisms that may be limiting your personal growth.

Taurus: The need to let go of financial obligations or debt that are continuing to cause you stress and worry.

Gemini: The need to let go of relationships or business partnerships that have become toxic or codependent.

Cancer: The need to let go of habits and rituals that no longer add to your day-to-day life or overall well-being.

Leo: The need to let go of self-esteem issues that keep you from expressing your creative talents and individual expression.

Virgo: The need to let go of familial ties that are unhealthy and that bind you to tribal biases that prevent you from embracing a larger worldview.

Libra: The Need to let go of concepts, opinions, or prejudices that are limiting your interaction and sharing ideas with others.

Scorpio: The need to let go of attachments to money and physical possessions that are blocking your ability to be prosperous.

Sagittarius: The need to let go of self-importance and personal entitlements that are complicating your relationships with others.

Capricorn: The need to let go of past grievances so that you can focus on building a future you can control.

Aquarius: The need to let go of friends and associates you have outgrown or groups that offer you little value.

Pisces: The need to let go of social standing and your fear of the opinion of others and focus on becoming a unique individual.

Happy Eclipse!

Astrology Forecast and Horoscopes for the Week of May 24, 2021 – May 30, 2021

This week’s astrology forecast packs a massive wallop, so get ready; it’s going to be a rollercoaster of a ride that begins on Wednesday and continues through the rest of the week.

Astro Hot Spots

We have three hot spots to focus on this week.  I will give the Lunar Eclipse in Sagittarius its own post so watch for that to drop early in the week.  But we also have Venus forming a tense square to Neptune and Mercury retrograde in Gemini on Saturday.

Venus in Gemini square Neptune in Pisces:

Venus-Neptune contacts are complicated.  Moreover, the squares and the oppositions are challenging to deal with and can be emotionally troubling if they strongly impact your chart.  Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, and Pisces take extra care this week because your charts will likely be triggered.

Venus square Neptune is about idealization. We all have a particular vision of how we expect relationships to work based on where Venus is in our birth charts. Venus-Neptune is a time when we are invested in our romantic dreams, and we may have a higher level of expectation because we seek fulfillment through our partners. We expect a lot out of those we care about, and ultimately, we become disappointed when our partners do not live up to the ‘perfect ideal.’  Since this aspect will influence all of us this week, our unrealistic expectations in relationships will become evident.

If you experience problems in your relationships, you may need to look at whether your expectations are too high.  Did you quit allowing your partners to be human and instead are looking for them to fix you, or are you seeking something from them that you should be seeking within yourself? If you have, you may need to accept your partners for who they are rather than what you would like them to be. Otherwise, this aspect can be tricky and can lead to hurt feelings and possible breakups. Contrarily, you may be in a situation where someone expects more out of you than you can humanely deliver. This tension can lead to frustration and feelings of inadequacy.  Relationships that end this week may be challenging to handle, so take extra care of yourself if this happens.

Mercury Rx in Gemini:

Finally, on Saturday, Mercury turns retrograde in his sign of Gemini.  Gemini is the sign that governs communication, business transactions, trade, and travel. You can expect typical issues that occur during Mercury retrograde to be amplified.

Mercury Rx Dirty Dozen! Tips and Tricks to Wrangling the Trickster God

  1. Make sure you go over anything contractual thoroughly.  Make sure all the i’s are dotted and all the t’s are crossed.

Whew, that is some list!

The good news is that we can use Mercury Rx as a powerful tool.  Since Mercury is moving backward, we are moving over familiar territory. We have been here before, and we can use this backward motion as a review process that gives us the ability to ‘redo’ (Mercury Rx loves words that start with ‘re’) choices and decisions we have already made. Also, the truth always surfaces during a Mercury Rx. Expect new information to emerge that may have led to a wrong decision in the past.

Sign Breakdowns:

Aries:

This week begins with the Moon in Scorpio in your solar 8th house. Unresolved issues from the past may resurface, leaving you feeling less confident than usual.  Communication issues with friends or siblings may occur midweek. Plans that you have made for the weekend may go awry with Mercury reversing course.  Check and recheck all plans, especially those that are travel-related.

Taurus:

Relationship issues may be a prominent feature at the beginning of the week with the turbulent Scorpio Moon moving through your solar 7th house. Avoid financial investments that involve your friends midweek because they could lead to disappointment. Unresolved financial matters may resurface at the week’s end when Mercury turns retrograde.

Gemini:

Work-related activities may be complicated this week by people with a dubious agenda. Avoid overcommunicating with people you don’t trust because it could lead to negative consequences. At the week’s end, you may receive information that leads you to question your path. A course correction may be necessary, but get all the facts before you proceed.

Cancer:

Romantic encounters may be a significant feature at the beginning of the week, with the Moon moving through your passionate solar 5th house. Towards the middle of the week, please pay close attention to your dreams because they may give you answers to problems that have been troubling you.  Be as clear and precise as possible in all communications this weekend because Mercury turns retrograde in your solar 12th house, and you will be easily misunderstood.

Leo:

You may get an urge to decorate or make modifications to your home at the beginning of the week with the Moon moving through your solar 4th house. Avoid developing a romantic interest with a friend or colleague this week because you may end up disappointed, or you could permanently damage your relationship. This weekend someone from the past may resurface when Mercury turns retrograde.

Virgo:

At the beginning of the week, you will have a strong urge to communicate and share ideas with your social circle with the Moon moving through your solar 3rd house.  Towards the middle of the week, expect problems in your relationships if you are focused solely on your career. Speaking of your career, Mercury reverses direction in your solar 10th house this weekend, leaving you uncertain about the future.

Libra:

Pay close attention to your spending at the beginning of the week. As the Moon moves through your solar 2nd house and tangles with Saturn and Uranus, unexpected expenses are likely to occur.  In the middle of the week, day-to-day events may challenge your beliefs about life. Be open to alternative viewpoints.  This weekend, as Mercury turns retrograde in your solar 9th house, travel plans may be upended.

Scorpio:

Relationships are going to be your primary focus throughout the week.  Disagreements may lead to feelings of insecurity about the future. Avoid holding on to grievances and allow your partners the space to resolve their issues. As Mercury reverses course in your solar 8th house, past problems may resurface.  Deal with them compassionately.

Sagittarius:

Problems may surface at the beginning of the week as the Moon in Scorpio moves through your solar 12th house. Avoid overreacting to your difficulties or acting too hastily because you could make matters worse. Relationship unhappiness may lead you to do some soul-searching,  and this will be a continuous theme over the next three weeks as Mercury retrogrades in your relationship sector.

Capricorn:

Tensions may occur at the beginning of the week, leading to you choosing to be either part of the crowd or your own person. You may be confused by the motivate of others, and this could strain your relationships. Mercury turns retrograde later in the week in your solar 6th house.  Make sure you stay on top of your schedule, or mishaps may occur.

Aquarius:

Your career and home life may be at war this week, leaving you emotionally depleted. Some rest may be in order so that you get a break from the day-to-day grind. Make sure that your romantic life is on solid ground before you take it to the next level. Over the weekend, Mercury retrograde in your solar 5th house could lead to difficulties involving a child.  You may need to set solid boundaries.

Pisces:

Communication problems with others may occur at the beginning of the week with someone in your social circle. Be as precise as possible when communicating with others, or they may misunderstand your true motivations. You may feel that your family is putting unrealistic expectations on you towards the middle of the week.  Mercury reverses course this weekend in your solar 4th house, and past family issues may resurface that threaten to steal your joy.

Astrology Forecast and Horoscopes for Week of May 17, 2021 – May 23, 2021

Astrology Forecast and Horoscopes for Week of May 17, 2021 – May 23, 2021

Astrology Forecast and Horoscopes for Week of May 17, 2021 – May 23, 2021

Astrology Forecast:

This week’s astrology forecast has the Sun moving into airy Gemini. Gemini is the season of the social butterfly, so our focus shifts from the physical world of money, individual values, and resources to social activities, ideas, and mingling with others. While the Sun is in the sign of the twins, expect insightful conversations, the sharing of ideas and concepts, and the need to learn new things that keep the mind stimulated and refreshed. Since Gemini has to do with the mind, the thing to be cautious of is mental constructs that may limit and curtail personal growth. Stay focused on the positive and the future, rather than ruminating on the past.

Saturn Retrograde:

In other astrological news, Saturn turns retrograde in Aquarius. Saturn is the planet of responsibility and discipline. He reflects what we do when we are ‘adulting’ — you know, that minor issue of taking care of business.  Saturn also reflects the planetary parental overlord that governs us, teaches us lessons, and rewards us for a job well done.

In astrology, when a planet is retrograde, it weakens the planets ability to function efficiently. In transformational astrology, retrograde planets operate on the inner level rather than experienced in the outer world. So, essentially, Saturn turning retrograde reflects a four-and-a-half-month period where we need to look at our lives and discover what needs structure and discipline. Often this is painfully obvious, because ‘daddy’ Saturn doesn’t step in and restrict us as usual, but instead lets us fall on our face so that we can discover ways in which we can learn lessons the hard way. Furthermore, it’s probably best when problems occur we handle them when they arise, because they become progressively more challenging if we ignore them.

Mercury square Neptune:

Finally, on Saturday, Mercury forms a challenging square to Neptune in Pisces. Mercury square Neptune is a highly confusing aspect.  You need to be cautious of what you say, and be as clear and concise as possible.  If an opportunity seems too good to be true, then it probably is. Check and recheck everything before making a firm decision.

Ordinarily, Mercury square Neptune only affects us for a few days, but with Mercury’s retrograde motion that begins next week, this aspect will be in orb for a while. Proceed with caution!

Now, on with the weekly horoscopes…

Sign Breakdowns:

Aries

This week, the Sun, Mercury, and Venus move through your solar 3rd house, giving you plenty to talk about and a need to share ideas and information with others. Opportunities to learn something new that helps you achieve your goals may occur midweek. However, this weekend pay close attention to what people say; someone may not be telling the truth.

Taurus

This week, the Sun moves into your solar second house, and you couldn’t be happier because your mind will be on your favorite subject – money!  Conversations about improving your financial standing may occur midweek when Venus trines Saturn in your solar 10th house.  However, avoid signing contracts or becoming overly obligated until after Mercury turns direct in the middle of June.

Gemini

At long last, it’s your season and time to shine, so spread those social butterfly wings and fly.  This week, conversations with others will help you understand yourself on a deeper level.  Also, new opportunities may be presented towards the end of the week that help you level up.  Stay focused on your goals!

Cancer

Conserve your energy this week because the Sun is moving into your solar 12th house, leaving you feeling burnt out and exhausted. Try to get as much rest as possible to recharge your batteries, so you have an ample amount of energy to use when needed. Resolution of unresolved financial matters may need to be your focus at the end of the week before they become too stressful to manage.

Leo

The week begins with a focus on work-related matters. Opportunities to take your career to the next level will come through friends and associates that see your true potential.  Avoid getting involved with other people’s financial issues because their situation may not be as bad as they portray it to be.  You may need to say no when pressured.

Virgo

People that do not understand your grand vision may question your motives, especially in career-related matters.  The good news is that despite the Negative Nancy’s barking at your workplace, positive financial news will arrive midweek that puts your self-doubts to rest.  There may be a wolf in sheep’s clothing around you; try to root out the culprit as quickly as possible.

Libra

This week begins with a beneficial aspect between the Sun and Pluto that helps you release the emotional traumas you have experienced in your life. Releasing the past allows you to concentrate your efforts on expanding your belief system and acquiring a more positive outlook on life.  Later this week, your creative talents may prove lucrative, so take advantage of opportunities while the irons are hot.

Scorpio

This week begins a month-long process of inner change and transformation as the Sun moves into your solar 8th house.  Difficulties in relationships have a better than average chance of being resolved, because you and your partner have enough emotional feelings for one another to face the underlying issues. Single Scorpios, be careful of investing heavily in people who are only in your life for a season.

Sagittarius

You may need to escape the real world this week and focus on what makes you happy and brings you joy. Relationships will be a conduit that inspires new ideas that get your creative juices flowing once again. Towards the end of the week, avoid signing contracts or legal documents with Mercury in your 7th house, squaring deceptive Neptune.

Capricorn

Although you may want to focus on issues that matter to you, daily annoyances and problematic people may threaten to knock you off your game. Projects you have invested in may not work out as expected, leaving you feeling emotionally depleted. Since the Sun is now moving through your solar 6th house, take extra care of your body and make choices that benefit your well-being.

Aquarius

This week, the Sun begins its month-long trek through your solar 5th house, bringing out your need to connect with others and have some fun. It’s a great time to take a step back from the daily grind and take some me-time to become conscious of your current goals and what you are currently seeking in life. However, try to avoid overspending, because your decision-making might not be the best with Mercury squaring Neptune in your financial second house.

Pisces

This week, the Sun moves through your solar 4th house, putting family matters in the proverbial hot seat.  Issues from the past may resurface that need resolution once and for all.  Getting in touch with your deeper feelings about life will positively impact your personal growth and career matters. This coming weekend, avoid shady people.

See you next week!

Astrology Horoscopes for the Week of May 10, 2021 – May 16, 2021

This week, the bulk of the astrology forecast occurs over a three-day window beginning on Tuesday and ending on Thursday.  The two biggest features are Jupiter moving out of Aquarius and into his sign of Pisces and a New Moon in Taurus, the sign of the bull.

Let’s start with the big kahuna, Jupiter in Pisces…

Astrology Hot Spots:

Jupiter in Pisces

This week Jupiter says goodbye (at least temporarily) to the sign of Aquarius and movies into Pisces until July 28th when he will return to the sign of the water bearer.

Pisces is the sign associated with collective dreams, but what does that even mean?

Well, we all have dreams and not just when we go to sleep.  We have visions of how we would like our lives to be. WE have dreams about a perfect world and a perfect society. Some of us even have dreams of a perfect cheesecake – mine is raspberry flavored.  But there are dreams that are bigger than individual dreams, they are the collective visions and aspirations of nations, groups, generations (current, previous, and those no longer with us), and even political parties. All dreams and collective visions are governed by the sign of Pisces.

Jupiter is the planet of expansion and when he dives into the deep waters of Pisces, those collective dreams of a perfect world will become a predominant theme over the next year.  Carl Jung (one of the pioneers of modern psychology) believed that everyone’s dreams and aspirations add to the whole, and it is this energy that is at the deepest core of Pisces, and the actions we take as individuals decide whether those dreams solidify into tangible realities. So, it’s a great time to focus on our higher aspirations, what we would like to see happen in our lives and in the world in the future.  According to the kabbalists, the most powerful force in the universe is unity (another lovely Piscean word) but to effectively create change, we all need to do our part to uplift and inspire a better tomorrow by beginning to dream — and DREAM BIG!

New Moon in Taurus

The New Moon this month lands in the sign of Taurus. Taurus is about prosperity, money, and self-worth. So, getting control over your finances, planting seeds for financial stability, and improving your self-image are constructive ways to work with this month’s New Moon, especially if you do intention or magical work

This month the New Moon makes only favorable aspects to Neptune and Pluto.  The Moon’s sextile to Neptune softens Taurus’s outer shell and provides opportunities to connect on a deeper level in relationships, and it allows you to become more sensitive to the emotional needs of others.  Whereas the trine to Pluto helps you stand in your own power and gives you the moxie to make changes that are necessary. Overall, this is a gentle New Moon, and it may be a bit of cosmic relief before eclipse season begins at the end of the month.

Sign by Sign Breakdown:

Aries

The New Moon falls in your solar second house highlighting your finances and personal resources. There may be a chance to improve your financial situation through new career opportunities. Conversations with friends may provide you with the support necessary to level up.

Taurus

Focusing on your personal ambitions may be key as the New Moon sets up shop in your solar first house. You may find help and assistance through your friends and associates who are more sensitive to your needs this week. However, put a watch on your tongue to avoid inadvertently annoying those around you.

Gemini

The New Moon lands in your twelfth house this week providing you with an opportunity to slowdown, smell the coffee, and take a step back. Career related matters may leave you feeling overwhelmed, at least temporarily. Financial issues or obligations that may have slipped your mind could resurface.

Cancer

You may want to take a break and get away from your duties and responsibilities.  The New Moon landing in your eleventh house provides you with an opportunity to spend time with friends and perhaps make new social connections.  Look to your relationships if you need encouragement and positive reinforcement.

Leo

The New Moon lands in your tenth house of career and public standing. Your allies and strategic partnerships will help you shine and prove to be a valued commodity moving forward. A blast from the past may throw you off your game, so keep your chess pieces close to the vest. Avoid throwing all your cards on the table.

Virgo

Focusing on big picture objectives is the name of the game with the New Moon landing in your solar ninth house. Although its easy for you to get caught up in the details, try to avoid doing so this week. You may receive surprising news from a friend or associate that you can use to your advantage.

Libra

Trying to stick to a structured routine this week may be difficult to manage. Your mind is focus on so many things that you may need a break to bring balance back into your life. Career issues may prove challenging because other people are not stepping up to the plate and you are beginning to feel the burden.

Scorpio

This week love and partnerships are highlighted with the New Moon touching down in your solar seventh house. Infuse your relationships with some extra spice and romance. If you are a single Scorpio, it’s time to attract Mister or Miss Right into your life. Put your apprehensions aside and go for it.

Sagittarius

Putting your day-to-day life in order may be a struggle, but with the New Moon in your solar sixth house, it’s a necessary evil.  Conversations with your partner may prove important and meaningful. A work-related surprise could spin your creative juices in a completely new and surprising direction.

Capricorn

Work-related matters may kick into high gear and you may shine bright like a diamond with the New Moon in your solar fifth house. It’s a great time to take a risk to achieve your goals. Any gut-level feelings or hunches you receive this week will likely pay off in the long run.

Aquarius

Taking a break from the real world and spending time with those that matter most is a major theme for you this week.  It’s time for you to recharge your batteries and have a little enjoyment that includes your friends and social circle. Home repairs or home improvements may be a focus with the New Moon landing in your solar fourth house.

Pisces

Communication with others will be an important feature of your week with the New Moon in your solar third house. Opportunities to connect with your siblings or close friends are likely. Your intuition will be in high gear and you should pay close attention to any feelings you have because they will prove useful in the future.

See you next week!

Astrology Horoscopes for the Week of May 3, 2021 – May 9, 2021

Although the week starts of rough, your social butterfly wings begin to emerge next weekend!

This week there is an excessive amount of astrological energy, and a decent mix of positive planetary hookups and interesting sign changes that should put everyone in social butterfly mode.

Let’s get the show on the road:

We start the week off with the most challenging aspect of the week – Sun in Taurus square Saturn in Aquarius.

There is time for fun and enjoyment, and there is a time to put your nose to the grindstone. Sun square Saturn expects the latter. Your energies may be low, and you may feel the weight of the world on your shoulders. Your self-esteem might be at a low point, and you may feel at odds with people around you, especially authority figures. However, the best way to manage Sun square Saturn is to focus on practical matters and keeping a low profile. The more you concentrate on your duties and responsibilities, the less painful Monday will be.

Later in the evening on Monday, Mercury will move out of Taurus and into his sign of Gemini. As we go through the rest of the week, you will need to communicate with others and learn new things. Your social calendar should begin to fill up because you will need the exchange of ideas, opinions, and camaraderie of others.  Since Mercury turns retrograde later in the month, the trickster god will be in Gemini until July 11th.

On Thursday, Venus forms a beneficial trine to Pluto in Capricorn.  Venus trine Pluto will intensity your relationship experiences, and your emotions will be in overdrive. This is a great day to express your deepest feelings to your partner, and you will experience a deeper connection than before.

Finally, this weekend Venus continues to hog the stage as she aspects Jupiter and moves out of her sign of Taurus and into mercurial Gemini.

Saturday will not be the best day for discipline and responsibility.  Instead, you will want to relax, luxuriate, and enjoy the company of others.  You should find that most (there is always that one) people are in decent moods and enjoyable.

Finally, later in the evening on Saturday, Venus moves out of Taurus and into Gemini.  Your social needs will be activated, and you will desire the company of others. Sharing ideas and spending time with your companions will help release stress and invigorate your spirit.

Weekly Horoscopes — Sign Breakdowns:

Aries: At the beginning of the week, you may suffer from feelings of inadequacy when you compare yourself to your social circle.  However, opportunities to improve your social standing may be experienced through your career as the week progresses.  This weekend sharing your ideas and opinions with others will prove crucial to your agenda.

Taurus: Career setbacks could spoil your mood at the beginning of the week.   You may need to spend some time away from others to see your big picture objectives. Conversations about finances will occur at the week’s end.

Gemini: Unresolved issues from the past resurface and force you to take responsibility for your actions. Towards the middle of the week, you may need to take control of a situation that others have mishandled to get the results you desire. During the weekend, you will receive new insights that help push you to the next level.

Cancer: Deep-seated insecurities may try to steal your joy at the beginning of the week.  However, opportunities to improve your relations through intense experiences may reignite your mojo once again. Listen to your intuitive hunches; they will prove to be on point.

Leo: Putting your career ahead of your personal life may cause relationships to suffer at the beginning of the week.  You may be better served by seeking some balance in your day-to-day activities.  This weekend, your social butterfly wings will sprout, and you will want to be surrounded by your tribe.

Virgo: Responsibilities and duties may supersede recreational activities at the beginning of the week. You will feel more at ease midweek when you have meaningful and productive conversations with your partner.  Children may be an issue of contention this weekend; be prepared to enforce your boundaries.

Libra: The beginning of the week may be a bit of a downer as inner demons may resurface and chip away at your self-confidence.  You may need to dig deep and reflect on whether these hobgoblins are limiting your growth. At the end of the week, you may need to escape it all and take a trip or short staycation to clear the cobwebs out of your head; some rest will do you good.

Scorpio: Family issues may disrupt your relationships, leaving you feeling stressed and emotionally drained. Towards the middle of the week, financial opportunities will arise through your social circle or a close friend. On Saturday, conversations with others will lead to inner transformation.

Sagittarius: You may feel imprisoned this week as work-related matters dominate your life, leaving ‘Jack’ with all work and little play. Health and fitness may be a concern for you towards the middle of the week. Finally, next weekend you may get a reprieve from your duties and responsibilities as your social life goes into overdrive.

Capricorn: This week, your romantic life is going to heat up, but it may come with a stiff price tag. Try to avoid overextending yourself financially, as unexpected expenses could leave you feeling anxious.  Conversations about potential career opportunities or projects may get you excited about the future.

Aquarius: Family members may call upon you to manage a situation that needs resolution and repair as problems from the past resurface at the beginning of the week. Try to avoid getting entangled personally; instead, work towards a solution or a compromise. Next weekend your romantic life becomes more active, and if you are single, a new person of interest is on the horizon.

Pisces: Conversations about financial matters may be a significant focus throughout the week.  Avoid opportunities that appear to be too good to be true because they probably are, and you should guard your finances right now. Next weekend some minor home repair or redecorating may be in order.

Cosmic Weather Forecast — Mercury Retrograde in Scorpio

I’ve got a secret.

Wait for it…

I dread when Mercury goes retrograde, and not because of the annoying little problems that occur during the period when the trickster planet decides to backstep through the zodiac as they are bound to happen.

No, it’s the endless memes, complaints, and everyone blaming every problem on earth on Mercury.  In many ways, it reminds me of people that blame Satan on every single problem in their lives – even the ones they CAUSED.  It’s exhausting for astrologers, and unfortunately, the information that is shared on social media is more Cosmo and Allure magazines than anything that resembles astrology.

Yes, Mercury is going to retrograde, and it happens on Halloween at 27 degrees of Scorpio.  Mercury will reverse course and go back through the sign of Scorpio before stationing again at 11 Scorpio on November 20th.  You may want to check your charts and see if you have anything in the fixed signs of Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, or Aquarius because your chart will be highly sensitive to Mercury’s movements.

Mercury in Scorpio is not the trickster he usually is in more fiery and airy signs, instead he probes beneath the surface often brings up the sewage of our past in order for us to challenge, integrate, and transform past traumas and compulsions that may plague you.  Mercury as the psychopomp is about revealing the truth, not in a literal sort of way, but instead provides you with personal truths that can ultimately change your understanding of life.

However, the biggest benefit of Mercury retrograde involves his reflection capabilities.  Over the next three weeks, you have an opportunity to look at the events since the last Mercury retrograde (end of July) and see if you need to make corrections or modifications to the choices that you have made.  Mercury retrograde periods give us a chance to alter course and define what we can personally do to make improvements in our lives.  So, if you have had some major upsets or major challenges that have frustrated you, if you do the inner reflective work, you can see where your personal choices have led you down the wrong path, and how you can get headed down the right one once again.  Remember, this is not about judgment, we all make mistakes and we can all course correct, it’s about learning from experiences and using that information in order to live the best life we possibly can.

Mercury Transits

Here are some hot spots to look for while Mercury is retrograde:

November 9, 2019 – Mercury sextile Pluto – Pluto gives you the ability to dig deep and reveal the root of problems that may be nagging you.  This aspect gives us the ability to become our own personal detectives and get to the truth.  It’s also a great time to do trauma work or to explore areas of your life you would ordinarily avoid.

November 11, 2019 – The Sun conjunct Mercury – The Sun is about our sense of individuality and our destiny.  When Mercury retrograde conjoins the Sun, we can often get intuitive flashes of what our destiny is meant to be, and it just comes out of the blue.  I once had a client who struggled with her job for months and months, and when Mercury retrograde conjoined the Sun in her 10th house, she realized that she was bored with her job and that her own boredom and happiness with her line of work was unconsciously creating her struggles.  Watch the events that happen between November 10 – November 12 closely.

November 13, 2019 – Mercury sextile Saturn/Mercury trine Neptune – We get a two for one special that will be active from November 12-November 14.  First up is Mercury sextile Saturn, which is great for business activities and analyzing your business and career status over the past few months.  It’s also a great time to make new plans to implement once Mercury goes direct.  Next is Mercury trine Neptune, which will get your creative juices flowing, which you can use on business or personal related projects.  Spirituality and inner work can be done while Mercury and Neptune are doing their cosmic dance.

November 20, 2019 – Mercury goes direct – This can be as challenging as when it first goes retrograde.  Expect communication problems, technical snafus, travel issues, and other general annoyances to occur. Yet, also look forward to things slowly improving in time for the holidays.

Your Personal Mercury Retrograde

Read for both your sun sign and your rising sign, if you know it.

Aries:  Mercury is going retrograde in your solar 8th house.  The 8th house is traditionally associated with death, taxes, and other people’s money. Mercury in Scorpio likes to dig deep and in the 8th house, it likes to dig even deeper.  You may notice that your conversations with others are more intense than normal including mysterious subjects that may intrigue you. Since Mercury is retrograde, joint finances may become an issue including coming up with a plan to make them better.

Taurus: Mercury is going retrograde in your solar 7th house. Relationships (of all sorts) will be your primary focus during Mercury retrograde.  Old partners may resurface and need to be dealt with or problems beneath the surface of your relationships may need to be addressed.  Further, this is not the best time for you to get involved with anyone new, so avoid investing in anyone that comes on the scene until Mercury goes direct on November 20th.

Gemini:  Mercury will retrograde in your solar 6th house.  You may need to put a watch on your tongue because you may be more critical than usual, and this could lead to complication and potential problems especially on the job or with work-related matters.  Since the 6th house governs our work environment, this would be a good time to resolve any long-standing issues and grievances – just remember to keep your ego out of it.

Cancer: Mercury will retrograde in your solar 5th house.  Traditionally, the 5th house governs children, romance, and casual sexual encounters.  I would recommend avoiding the later since Scorpio is associated with diseases, and who wants one of those?  However, it is a good time to explore your romantic life and whether you are getting your needs met out of your encounters. Issues with your children or children in general surface during this retrograde season.

Leo: Home is where the heart is, and this will prove to be true as Mercury retrogrades your solar 4th house.  You may feel the need to withdraw in order to recharge your batteries, and you may feel drained, both physically and emotionally. Issues surrounding your immediate family members may surface during this retrograde season, yet despite frustrations and annoyances, this gives you an opportunity to repair familial relationships. If problems from the past resurface, deal with them rationally and responsibly so that they no longer influence your future.

Virgo: Mercury will retrograde in your solar 3rd house. In astrology, Mercury naturally rules the 3rd house so you may feel the usual problems associated with the retrograde more intensely.  Worries and anxiety may leave you feeling scattered and your ability to focus may be limited during retrograde season.  It’s also recommended that you avoid travel because complications may occur. On a more positive note, this cycle could prove useful if you need to get facts and ideas together for business-related activities once Mercury goes direct on November 20th.  Make your plan so you can implement it effectively.

Libra: Mercury will retrograde in your solar 2nd house and financial concerns will walk onto the stage. This is a great time for you to analyze your financial situation and get a clear perspective on how to proceed moving forward.  Further, new financial investments or purchases are not recommended until Mercury goes direct.  If someone owes you money, they may be more likely to repay you this retrograde season or further delays could possibly occur.

Scorpio: Mercury will retrograde in your solar 1st house.  This retrograde season could prove to be more frustrating than usual.  You may feel deeply misunderstood and have difficulty expressing yourself to others, and this could lead to unwanted insecurities surfacing.  Since the 1st house governs how you see the world, Mercury being retrograde could lead to a fragmented view of reality. However, this is a positive time to explore yourself on deeper levels and reveal potentials that may ordinarily be hidden.

Sagittarius: Mercury will retrograde in your solar 12th house. Like your Leo brethren, retrograde season may be a time to withdraw and do some inner work. You may not feel the need to express yourself to others and may not want to be encumbered by other people’s problems or realities. Meditation and spiritual work are strongly recommended.  Further, avoid old grievances with adversaries during this retrograde cycle because nothing good will come out of dredging up the past.

Capricorn: Mercury will retrograde in your solar 11th house. In astrology, the 11th house is associated with friends and groups. During retrograde season you may need to look at your social network and decide if you are getting your needs met.  If your circle is not feeding any of your personal needs, then you may need to adjust them accordingly when Mercury goes direct.  Further, communications with friends and associates could prove to be problematic. Avoid unnecessary conflicts and arguments throughout retrograde season.  Practice proaction rather than reaction.

Aquarius: Mercury will retrograde in your solar 10th house. In astrology, the 10th house governs career and reputation.  During this retrograde season, you may need to look at the current state of your career and make adjustments when they are necessary.  It may also be time to look at new career opportunities and changing positions, locations, or even your profession. However, do not make any abrupt changes because you may ultimately regret them or potentially damage your reputation.  Although it’s fine to plan during retrograde season, make changes after Mercury goes direct.

Pisces:  Ordinarily, Mercury in your solar 9th house tells you to look at the big picture rather than the day-to-day events or frustrations.  However, when retrograde season occurs in your 9th house, it’s time to take your eye off the prize and pay close attention to details that may prevent you from getting to your goal.  Additionally, at this time, you may feel more pessimistic and moodier than you usually would.  Avoid foreign travel if possible until Mercury goes direct on November 20th.

I hope you have an easy retrograde!
