The astrology forecast for the week of August 22, 2022 through August 28, 2022 features four major aspects (Mercury trine Pluto, Venus square Uranus, the Sun square Mars, and Venus oppose Saturn), two sign changes (The Sun moves into Virgo and Mercury moves into Libra), Uranus turns retrograde, and a New Moon in Virgo occurs on Saturday.

Cosmic Overview

Each astrological season allows us to tap into energies that help us navigate our way through life. Over the last month, we have traveled through Leo season, which is about creativity, self-expression, self-understanding, and getting in touch with who we are.  This month, we move into the sign of Virgo, and although it’s not as glamorous or exciting as fiery Leo, it’s pivotal for self-development.

Virgo season is about life management. In the mystical Kabbalah, Virgo is called Elul, the month of Teshuvah. Teshuvah is the practice of reviewing the past year, recognizing the mistakes we’ve made, trying to do better in the future, and moving on.  The key is THE MOVING ON and managing your life in ways that serve your greater good. Also, since Virgo is a sign associated with health, it’s an auspicious time to get a checkup or being a health or exercise program.

We start the week off with the Sun moving into Virgo, which is given a boost by Mercury (the ruler of Virgo), forming a beneficial trine to Pluto.  Mercury trine Pluto helps us dig deep so we can take honesty inventory of our lives.  We can then make changes and transform our strategies into something useful and productive. The Moon moves through watery Cancer.  The Moon in Cancer likes to be domestic.  It’s an excellent day to take care of household responsibilities, cook an amazing meal, or redecorate. However, be mindful that you may feel things more intensely than you ordinarily would. Practice self-care if you feel overwhelmed.

Uranus, the great awakener planet, turns retrograde in Taurus. Ordinarily, Uranus likes to shake up the system, tear down the status quo, and force change – for better or worse. When Uranus turns retrograde, he calms down in the outer world, and turns inward, reflecting a period for us to focus on inner changes or ways we can shake up our own world. This is an excellent time to review long-term goals, create new strategies, or modify your objectives.  Uranus remains retrograde until the beginning of 2023.

Mercury moves out of Virgo and into Libra.  Many consider Mercury in Libra to be wishy washy or incapable of making decisions. And, although this may appear on the surface, Mercury in the sign of the scales needs to weigh the options and ideas of others so they can make informed decisions. It’s a great day to sign contracts, forge agreements, tend to legal matters, and work on unresolved relationship issues.  Just remember Mercury turns retrograde in Libra on September 9th.

The Moon spends the day void of course in Leo.  Avoid starting anything new or making any firm decisions until the Moon moves into Virgo at 8:25 PM EDT/5:25 PM PDT. Otherwise, nothing will come of the matters, and situations will fizzle out.

It’s going to be a busy day, with Venus forming a tense square to Uranus and the Sun squaring Mars.  Relationship issues may surface during the early part of the day, which may prove problematic if you approach things with a stubborn mindset. To make matters more challenging, Venus square Uranus may feed into Sun square Mars, and you may butt heads with others and prideful ego issues may get in the way of rational thought. Try to be mindful and practice proactive behaviors.

We close the week with Venus opposing Saturn. You may have trouble relating to the people around you, which could lead to feelings of loneliness. If you’ve been sacrificing your personal happiness to please others, then you may be forced to make changes so that you can get your own needs met. The astrology forecast for the week of March 14, 2022 through March 20, 2022 features two major aspects (Mercury sextile Uranus, Venus square Uranus), the change of the seasons as the Sun moves into Aries, and a Full Moon in Virgo.

So, once again, the cosmos picks up steam.  Let’s dive right in.

Cosmic Overview

The aspect of the week occurs on Saturday as Venus in Aquarius squares Uranus in Taurus. I’m going to be blunt (okay, I’m known for that): if you are inflexible in your relationships, must have your own way, or do not like to compromise, then Venus square Uranus is difficult – very difficult. However, if you are flexible and can compromise with your partners (all of them), Venus square Uranus can enhance your relationships significantly.

The planet Uranus likes progress, not stagnation. When Uranus is in a hard aspect to Venus, and your relationships are stuck in a rut and not growing, he tends to shake things up.

Now, the key to working with Venus square Uranus is to shake things up on your own. Venus-Uranus likes excitement, so doing different activities, exploring new things, and adding new elements to keep your relationships fresh will help mitigate many of the more troublesome manifestations of the aspect.

In addition to love, Venus rules money. You may want to keep a watch on your expenditures, because unexpected expenses may occur. Furthermore, this is not the best time to make impulsive investments.

We start the week with the Moon moving through fiery Leo and it creates a tense configuration to Venus and Uranus. You may experience some minor tension in relationships that may leave you feeling anxious or ill at ease. Insecurities and self-doubt may surface, but be proactive when this occurs. Also, note what is worrying you because it may be a major indicator of what needs to be worked on when Venus squares Uranus later in the week.

The Moon moves into dutiful Virgo. Although it may not be the most exciting day of the week, it is excellent to get out your to do list and get things done. The Virgo Moon is also great for focusing on health-related matters, starting a business plan, and hitting the gym. Getting energy moving through your body is a good thing – not necessarily fun, but good.

Cosmic Weather Forecast – February 25, 2019 – March 3, 2019

So, there is not much to talk about this week because the cosmic energy is minimal – we have only two aspects and a single sign change.  Take advantage of this energy while you can because we do not get another astrological break until the end of the month and Mercury goes retrograde next week and will stir up trouble.

Venus is the major playing this week and love and money are going to take center stage, especially when Venus moves out of structured Capricorn and into Aquarius.  While Venus is in the sign of the water bearer, relationship needs are met through friendship and intellectual stimulation, and in most cases, expresses itself in a detached and often ambivalent way.  Venus in Aquarius is ethical and loyal with a strong distaste for intense emotions and will shut down if it feels like it is being emotionally manipulated.

On the personal level, Venus in Aquarius reflects a cyclical period where we need to look at our relationships using reason and logic rather than through emotional connection and earthy necessities. If your relationship is not working, then it’s time to look at the reasons why problems are occurring, which requires honesty yet will give you the strategy to improve your relationships.

Financially, Venus in Aquarius is effective to develop financial strategies for the future.  Again, using a detached and emotional perspective, this placement provides you with a cool and logical approach that will help you see problems in your current financial situation and will provide you with the tools to deal with them.  Since Saturn, the natural ruler of Aquarius is moving through goal-oriented Capricorn, your chance of success and resolving your financial issues once and for all.
