The astrology forecast for the week of April 11, 2022 through April 17, 2022 features three planetary aspects (Jupiter conjunct Neptune, Sun sextile Saturn, Mercury sextile Venus), Mars moves out of Aquarius and into Pisces, and a Full Moon in relationship-oriented Libra.

It looks like it’s going to be another busy week. So, let’s dive right in!

Cosmic Overview

This week the cosmic headliner is Jupiter conjoin Neptune in Pisces. On one level, Jupiter conjunct Neptune may potentially breathe a little compassion, understanding, and empathy into a world lacking in human decency.  You may find that you are called upon to help those in need, or you may decide to do more spiritual based work. On the other hand, Jupiter can expand some dubious Neptunian characteristics, and we will see a deluge of misinformation, cult-like behaviors, and for a lack of a better phrase – ‘fake news’.  The key to working through the trickier side of Jupiter-Neptune is to ensure your ideas are your own and that you are not following people blinding.  Do your own research (FYI: 15 minutes on YouTube learning science from someone who failed 8th grade biology is not research) and investigate anything before leaping headfirst into an idea or cause.

If you encounter Jupiter-Neptune gone amok, usually in the form of your crazy uncle or weird guy (or girl) in your social media feeds, try to remember that Neptune seeks redemption and to ease pain and suffering, and that many people are suffering for various reasons. Try to be as understanding as possible, even if you disagree with them. Use compassion before condemnation!

The astrology forecast for the week of April 4, 2022 through April 10, 2022 features four major aspects (Mars conjunct Saturn, Mercury sextile Saturn, Mercury sextile Mars, and Mercury square Pluto) and Venus and Mercury change signs.

So, the cosmos picks up speed this week. Let’s dive right in!

Cosmic Overview

The headliner this week is Venus moving out of Aquarius and into Pisces, the sign of her exaltation. This is good news, because Venus has been in Saturn ruled signs (Capricorn and Aquarius) since November 5, 2021, and she has been copresent with Mars and Saturn in Aquarius (part of the time besieged) since early March.

So, now Venus is free to do her thing, and since she is copresent with Jupiter (also in Pisces), we should begin to see a lightening of the energy and improvements in love and finances.  Also, note the house where Pisces is located in your chart, and the two houses that Venus (Taurus and Libra) rules, because they will also see an upswing.

The positive way to work with Venus in Pisces (because there are dysfunctional applications like codependency and idealization) is to use this energy to improve relationships, and this may include some necessary self-sacrifice.

All relationships go through troubles, difficulties, and sometimes get off track. Now is an excellent time to do some inner work to see where your relationships problem areas are, and do what you can to improve them. Since Venus is in Pisces, the ability to empathize and be compassionate is amplified, which allows compromises to occur and healing to begin.  Remember, Venus will also be in Pisces for your partner, so it’s easier to achieve reciprocity in relationships. If compromises cannot be achieved, the healing may begin when you accept the relationship is beyond repair, and that you need to begin loving yourself by making difficult decisions about your relationship’s future.

There is one warning: when working on relationship issues and compromising, do not lose sight of your boundaries.

You may feel that people are obstructing or working against you, and you may need to push away negative thoughts if they surface. Mercury in Aries forms a helpful sextile to Saturn in Aquarius. This is an auspicious day to take an honest look at your life and see what needs to change. Sometimes, we get caught up in our daily rituals, so that we fail to take a moment to do an honest inventory of our lives.  Mercury sextile Saturn is the perfect aspect to do so. Additionally, Mercury sextile Saturn is an excellent time to work on projects that require precision and focus.

Issues that may have occurred on Monday due to Mars’s conjunction with Saturn will have the opportunity to be resolved, as long as you are willing to negotiate. You may need to put your ego on a shelf, at least momentarily, and use careful thought to achieve results. Furthermore, Mercury sextile Mars gives you the initiative to take advantage of any opportunities you are presented with at this time. Since this aspect is favorable, matters will usually turn out positive. So, if you need to act, don’t hesitate to do so.

The end of the week brings us two cosmic events – Mercury in Aries squares Pluto in Capricorn, and Mercury leaves the sign of the ram and heads into earthy Taurus.

During the early morning hours, Mercury squares Pluto.  Mercury square Pluto is a tricky aspect, because it’s extremely compulsive and leans towards obsessive thought patterns.  Try to avoid pushing your view on others, because it may lead to potentially unnecessary conflicts. If you are obsessed with an idea or have intrusive thought patterns, use distraction or self-soothing to minimize their effects.

Later in the day, Mercury moves out of Aries and into Taurus. Rather than understanding life through potentials and possibilities, we are now face to face with the real world of facts. While Mercury is in Taurus, it’s an excellent time to slow down and investigate matters before coming to a decision. Use careful thought and consideration at this time.

Cosmic Overview

The aspect of the week is Venus conjunct Saturn in Aquarius. So, the primary theme of the week will involve relationships (all of them).

Now, despite the magical belief about relationships – you know, when you meet ‘the one’ and everything in life becomes perfect – relationships are hard work.  Sure, relationships can be exciting and fulfilling, but there are times when real world demands shatter our ideals of romantic bliss, and problems begin to occur.  Venus in hard aspect to Saturn is when they are often triggered.

We all go through struggles, and those struggles usually occur outside of relationships. They may be career-related, financial, medical, or familial, but we all have things we are dealing with regularly. Venus conjunct Saturn indicates a cycle when those worldly issues (Saturn) can affect our relationships, and even how we relate to our partners individually. Furthermore, when Venus conjoins Saturn, you may feel isolated and alone, which can complicate matters more.  

Working with Venus/Saturn requires honesty and realism. You may need to look at your life and what your relationships currently mean to you. Often, insight into ways to get your needs met while handling life’s circumstances is a productive way to get what you require from your partners, and that gut-level open communication can relieve some of the struggle. However, you need to also be cognizant of whether your reactions to the real world may alienate your partner because you are so focused on your own issues, and you are not receptive to them or their needs.

The good news is that if you put in the work, your relationships will become more stable and fulfilling. You can create a stronger support system to deal with your struggles.  All that is required is working with your relationships, not against them.

Although Mercury is a big player, the most potent aspect of the week is Mars in Aquarius square Uranus in Taurus. Mars square Uranus is an extremely volatile aspect, and it’s hard (even in the most conscious of people) to contain.  You may feel a need to break free from situations in your life where you feel controlled and restrained. Acting impulsively and reacting to external circumstances may need to be tempered so that you do not do any lasting damage to your life. It’s necessary to be as proactive as possible, and try to manage your emotions the best you can.

If you can control your impulses, Mars square Uranus can be useful. This aspect often reveals the areas of life where you feel discouraged and dissatisfied.  Understanding the root of your restlessness can help you make positive and meaningful changes in your life. The key is working with this energy productively, and not letting it work you.

Finally, Mars square Uranus is accident prone.  Try to be aware of what you are doing, especially when you are driving and handling equipment. A hard hat may be necessary!

Cosmic Overview

The aspect of the week occurs on Saturday as Venus in Aquarius squares Uranus in Taurus. I’m going to be blunt (okay, I’m known for that): if you are inflexible in your relationships, must have your own way, or do not like to compromise, then Venus square Uranus is difficult – very difficult. However, if you are flexible and can compromise with your partners (all of them), Venus square Uranus can enhance your relationships significantly.

The planet Uranus likes progress, not stagnation. When Uranus is in a hard aspect to Venus, and your relationships are stuck in a rut and not growing, he tends to shake things up.

Now, the key to working with Venus square Uranus is to shake things up on your own. Venus-Uranus likes excitement, so doing different activities, exploring new things, and adding new elements to keep your relationships fresh will help mitigate many of the more troublesome manifestations of the aspect.

In addition to love, Venus rules money. You may want to keep a watch on your expenditures, because unexpected expenses may occur. Furthermore, this is not the best time to make impulsive investments.

The astrology forecast for the week of March 7, 2022 through March 13, 2022 features a minimal amount of cosmic energy. We have Mercury moving out of Aquarius and into Pisces, and the Sun completes his annual conjunction to Neptune.

Since there is not a lot of activity this week, I decided to offer suggestions to work with the weekly forecast, since I often get questions about personalizing the forecast frequently.

The first thing you need is a copy of your personal horoscope. You can get a copy by visiting astro.com.  If you are new to astrology, I would recommend working with whole sign houses, because this system is easier.  The purpose of getting a copy of your horoscope is to find out your ascendant (rising sign), which will reveal how your houses lay out in the chart.

Next, you can download a copy of the “Astrology Cheat Sheet” designed by my late friend Barbara Schermer. It’s an excellent quick resource for you to have on hand, or you can purchase “Astrology for Yourself” by Demetra George, which is available in workbook and kindle formats.

Finally, you can now plot the areas of your chart where astrological activity is taking place. For example, this week Mercury moves into the sign of Pisces. If you have Libra rising (and working with whole sign houses), then Mercury will move into your 6th house of health, work, rituals, and day to day activities.  This means Mercury will provide understanding and conversations about these areas of your life. However, if you have Taurus rising, Mercury will move through your 11th house of friends, groups, and hopes and wishes. While Mercury is in Pisces, you will likely feel more social, and you will perhaps look at your big picture plans and objectives.

Your intuition will be off the chains, and you may have trouble distinguishing between your personal emotional responses and the moods of others.  Try to remain as grounded as possible, and if you are emotionally overwhelmed, practice self-care. Additionally, this is an auspicious time to work on creative projects, because your receptivity to ‘other’ worlds will be at its peak.  Mercury remains in Pisces until March 27th.

This week features the most positive day of the year, as the Sun and Jupiter conjoin in Pisces. Sun conjoins Jupiter in Pisces is incredibly positive because Jupiter is in his sign, and his benefic energy is amplified. So, make sure you take advantage of this energy while it’s available.

One of the most beneficial features of the Sun conjunct Jupiter is it’s an optimistic and joyful aspect. Your spirits will be lifted, and this should have a positive impact on your outlook on life, and people will enjoy being around you. New experiences are important at this time because Jupiter will want to expand your worldview, and you will have the urge to make your life bigger, bolder, and brighter. As I said earlier, the Sun conjoined to Jupiter is considered lucky. It’s easy to quickly (especially the fire signs) see opportunities and take advantage of them. So, pay close attention to anything presented to you while this aspect is active.

The only drawback to Sun conjunct Jupiter is its propensity towards burnout. It’s very easy to get excited by everything in your life, and as a result, you may take on more than you can handle. So, try not to overdo it.

The astrology forecast for the week of February 21, 2022 through February 27, 2022 features three major aspects, all grouped in the middle of the week – Mars sextile Neptune, Venus sextile Neptune, and Mercury square Uranus.

Cosmic Overview

The cosmic event of the week is Mercury in Aquarius (now out of shadow) square Uranus in Taurus. If there is a week in which cabin fever will kick into high gear, this is the one!

Mercury square Uranus gets bored with the same old monotonous day-to-day activities, and will seek out new things, often impulsively, to add some excitement to everyday life. Now, this is fine and dandy and usually goes smoothly with a sextile or trine, but since this is a square, the erratic nature of the aspect can be problematic. For many (yes mutable signs, I’m talking to you), there will be an urge to throw duties and responsibilities out the window in favor of excitement and exploring new things. However, this can come with consequences, so try to think things out before throwing caution to the wind.

Another feature of Mercury square Uranus is that your thoughts will be fast and furious. You will be inspired by new ideas and interests, and will want to explore them. Intuitive hunches or insights may be amplified while this aspect is active. But, if you have difficulties controlling the onslaught of mental activity, you could end up feeling anxious or nervous. As best as possible, try to focus on one thing and leave the others for another day. Obviously, it’s best not to focus on projects that need focus and concentration.

The astrology forecast for the week of February 14, 2022 through February 20, 2022 features two major aspects (Venus conjunct Mars and Jupiter sextile Uranus), two sign changes, and the Full Moon in Leo.

It’s going to be a busy week. So, let’s dive right in.

Cosmic Overview

The aspect of the week is Mars conjoined to Venus in Capricorn. This configuration is special because Mars will overtake Venus, when usually Venus is the one that completes an aspect to Mars.

But, why?

Back in November, Venus moved into Capricorn and began applying to a sextile with Mars in Scorpio. However, Venus slowed down before turning retrograde, and Mars slipped into Sagittarius. In astrological terms, this is called frustration, and it means that matters governed by Venus and Mars could not come together or materialize. Venus turned retrograde in December, and Mars continued to move through Sagittarius until it moved into Capricorn on January 24th. Venus then turned direct on January 29th, but because she is still moving slower than Mars, Mars can overtake Venus and finally come together.

Mars conjoin Venus is great for relationships that have been problematic for the last few months. Tensions should begin to subside, and since the conjunction occurs in earthy Capricorn, this is an excellent time to get the relationship back on the right footing and begin to rebuild structure and foundation. You will notice that it will be easier to negotiate and reach a compromise. Also, if your sex life has been in a slump, Mars-Venus will help spice it up! So, even though Valentine’s Day happens on February 14th, in the cosmos cupids arrow strikes on the 16th.
