After the intensive energy from last week, this week will be a welcomed relief.

So, take a deep breath and just breathe and enjoy it.

The big news this week is that the Sun moves out of Aries and into earthy Taurus.  Astrologically speaking, we fly down from the heavenly world of potential and possibilities and land firmly on the earth and we enter the world of reality.

Taurus is about the here and now. The past is dead and cannot be influenced and the future is not important as long as everything remains unchanged and reliable.  In fact, during Taurus season, it’s productive to concentrate on the moment and focusing on what you can influence in the now. The sign of the bull ushers in a cycle of focusing on things you can personally grow, like your bank account, a flower garden, or your investments.  It’s also an auspicious time to set realistic goals that you can accomplish in a short period of time.

This year, the Taurean Sun lands in the 10^th house of the world chart.  The 10^th house is associated with our careers, but on a more mundane level, you could say the 10^th house is about all the adjectives and labels in our lives, such as being a doctor, an astrologer, a parent, the head of the PTA, or a good person.  In the world chart, the Sun forms a conjunction to disruptive Uranus, so this Taurus season is about changing the labels we associate with that are no longer working and associating with something new that represents who we are now.  Taurus is very resistant to change, but the more you fight Uranus the more disruptive change can be.  Take a deep look at your associations over the next month and let go of the ones that no longer have value, which may require a leap of faith, but fosters productive growth of your most important commodity – yourself.

We begin the week with a gentle square between Venus and Jupiter.  Now, neither of these two planets are heavy lifters, so when the two are in aspect, it’s best to stick to activities that do not require focus or deadlines.  Instead, Venus square Jupiter is best for socializing and spending time with others.  So, go out and do something with the people you care about.

On the financial front, Venus square Jupiter is good for investments and speculative activities.  However, since this aspect is a square, avoid going overboard and spending more than you can afford.

The good news is that during the afternoon hours, the Moon forms lovely trines to Saturn and Pluto in Capricorn and you will get your mojo back.  Schedule most of your daily activities then.

During the early morning hours. Mercury moves out of dreamy Pisces (at last) and into energetic Aries.  Your intuition will be enhanced, and ideas will come to you out of the blue.  While Mercury is in Aries, it’s a good time to focus on ideas that you are interested in or excited about or you may find yourself bored, frustrated, and impatient.  Your thought processes will be more innovative than they usually are, which could elicit negative reactions from those around you.  Stick to your hunches, they will pay off in the long run.

However, you may feel that things are anything but harmonious when the Moon squares Saturn and Pluto.  Moreover, you may feel overwhelmed, pressured, and lack confidence.  Try to stay focused on situations you can control and stay away from conflicts. Matters will likely improve later in the evening when the Moon trines Jupiter.

On Friday, we have the second Full Moon in Libra of the year.  This Full Moon occurs at 29 degrees, which in esoteric astrology is considered a karmic degree.  Since Libra is the sign of the zodiac most associated with relationships, this Full Moon is about releasing toxic relationships that no longer work for us and healing their aftermath, which needs patience, compassion and understanding.  Further, Libra Full Moon’s are useful when dealing with unresolved legal matters by resolving them once and for all.

The Weekend

We have two major holiday’s this weekend.  So, Happy Passover and Easter to those that celebrate.

As we usher in the beginning of Taurus season, Venus moves out of mystical Pisces and dons her battle goddess garb as she enters Aries. Venus in Aries brings out excitement in relationships, which could make them interesting and spirit-filled or an all-out blood bath.  While Venus is in Aries you need activities that keep your relationship stimulating and adventurous. Avoid being stuck in a rut or problems will likely occur.
