Cosmic Weather Forecast – December 24, 2018 – December 30, 2018

Before I begin this week’s Cosmic Weather Forecast, I would like to wish all those that celebrate a very Merry Christmas.  I hope that your holiday is filled with happiness and joy.

Be on your guard this week because of one of the worst astrological aspects that could happen before a major holiday is going to take place when the communicator planet, Mercury, forms a challenging square to slipper Neptune.  Mercury square Neptune could make the entire week challenging, so pay close attention to Monday’s forecast.

Later in the week, Venus in Scorpio forms an opportunistic sextile to Pluto in Capricorn, which could be a gamer changer for relationships.

Now, on with the forecast…

Under normal circumstances, I would just suggest you hide under the bed and limit your communication over the next few days with Mercury square Neptune, but that’s not really possible on Christmas Eve.

Let me start with the basics – Mercury is not only the planet of communication, but he is also the planet of comprehension.  He governs how we take in information, process it, and transmit it out into the world.  On the other hand, and especially in a hard aspect, Neptune is the planet of confusion and delusion. Neptune is idealistic and wears rose-colored glasses.  He sees whatever he wants to see.  Now, when you combine these two principles together, there is a whole lot of crazy going on.

The key to working with this aspect, if there is one, is to be very clear in your communication and make sure that you understand everything that is being told to you. It’s necessary to stick to the facts and leave your opinions for another day.  Otherwise, confusion and hurt feelings could potentially ruin the holiday.  Further, since Neptune is so idealistic, keep your expectations (about everything) to a minimum – especially those of you that are hoping for high dollar Christmas presents or engagements.  That is not to say that it won’t happen, just don’t expect it.

Mercury also rules commerce, so avoid business deals or transactions over the next few days and if you must return items after the holidays, be sure to check the receipts.  TWICE!

This aspect will linger for a few days, so keep that in mind when dealing with the people in your life.  Avoid important discussions, if possible.

Merry Christmas!  The Moon will move through self-involved Leo throughout the day, and despite family interactions and festivities, you still need to do you.  So, take some time out to do something for you, whether it’s an hour break from the holiday or a relaxing bubble bath in the morning.  Everything should remain relatively calm until late afternoon when the Moon squares Venus.  Squabbles with others are possible, especially when miscommunication arises.

Something unexpected could surprise you and make your day during the morning hours when the Moon in Leo trines Uranus.  During the afternoon hours, it’s a good time to focus on chores you have let lapse over the holidays or tasks that need to be completed.

Remember the energy that I warned you about on Monday, well the Moon in Virgo is going to retrigger Mercury square Neptune today.  Be careful with how you communicate with others, and it’s best to avoid major business decisions.  Otherwise, later this evening the Moon forms a sextile to Venus, which should lighten the energy significantly.

Friday, December 28, 2018

On Friday, Venus in Scorpio forms a lovely sextile to Pluto in Capricorn.  Your social circle will prove important to you as you encounter deep feelings and emotions that need to be recognized by those around you.  Your emotions will be more intense than normal, and you can use this energy to strengthen or enhance your relationships.

The Weekend:

The Moon moves through relationship-oriented Libra on Saturday and Sunday.  Use this weekend to connect to your significant other and let them know how much you love and appreciate them.  Although there are a few cosmic hiccups, it should be a good weekend overall.

Happy Holidays!
