So, last week we had only one astrological aspect, and this week we have a cosmic stampede with four aspects and the beginning of Capricorn season.

Once again, Jupiter is the week’s major planet.  Jupiter is our inner optimism planet and since he is concerned with potentials and possibilities, the best way to work with this week’s energy is doing goal and intention work.  So, spend some time this week focusing on what you would like to achieve next year, just make sure that your goals are realistic, achievable, and that you are willing to put forth the effort to make them happen.

Later in the week, we enter Capricorn season.  The expansive energies of Sagittarius enter the world of reality, which can often feel dense, and at times, depressing.  However, Capricorn rewards you if you endure the hardships of life that make you stronger and more reliant, but to receive those rewards, we first need to accept personal responsibility for the bulk of our actions.  The good news is that once we can see that our actions lead to our successes and failures, we can begin to make new decisions that get us the results we desire.  It may take time, patience, grit, and determination, but under the sign of Capricorn, anything is possible, as long you put forth the work to achieve it.

The Moon leaves the sign of Aries and enters the sign of the bull during the early morning hours.  It’s a great day to pamper yourself – perhaps a massage or manicure is in order.  Tuesday should be calm and productive with the Moon forming a stabilizing trine to Saturn.  All the earth signs (Taurus, Virgo, and Capricorn) reflect the need to take responsibility and control of life, and part of this involves being responsible for your personal well-being.  In this case, the Taurus Moon tells you it’s time to take care of yourself.

The Sun forms a beneficial trine to Uranus right before noon on the East Coast. The message for Thursday is breaking free from hum-drum life and doing something exciting and different.  Spend some time exploring things you have never experienced before; it’s time to shake things up and be original.  By experiencing all that life has to offer, you will learn new things about yourself that you never knew before.  The one thing that you shouldn’t do is ignore this energy because you will become restless and agitated, and that is a color that has never looked good on anyone.  Ever.

Happy Yule to all my pagan readers, I wish you all a happy and safe holiday.

Friday is the biggest day of the week with Venus forming a lovely trine to Neptune, Mercury conjoining Jupiter, and later in the afternoon, the Sun moves out of Sagittarius and into Capricorn.

Your creative powers should be off the charts and Friday is a great day for doing any work that involves tapping into your intuition, and with Mercury conjoined to Jupiter, you could use this energy to promote your business or work on advertising for the New Year.  Also, commerce and sales are a bonus with this aspect.

Friday is also a great day for love and romance.  You will feel connected to your partner on the emotional level, and you will feel more compassionate and sensitive to your partners’ needs.  It’s a great day for a night in, a little bubbly, and a hefty dose of old-fashioned romance.

The Weekend 

Capricorn season starts with a powerful Full Moon, Saturday afternoon, in Cancer.  Cancerian Full Moons are great for letting go of toxins, poisons, and anything that is unhealthy.  Since the sign of Cancer is about family and security, it’s time to focus on them with your intention and magical-based work.

The Full Moon forms a beneficial aspect to Uranus, which should bring excitement, pleasant surprises, and positive change.  This lunation cycle (next two weeks), is excellent for making changes that you may have avoided in the past.  As you prepare for the new year, it’s time to focus on being the person that you know you can be.
