The astrology forecast for the week of November 15, 2021 – November 21, 2021 features 7 planetary aspects (Sun square Jupiter, Sun sextile Pluto, Mars oppose Uranus, Mercury trine Neptune, Mercury square Jupiter, and Mercury sextile Pluto), the Sun moving out of Scorpio and into Sagittarius, and a lunar eclipse in Taurus.

Cosmic Overview

The prime newsmaker this week is a lunar eclipse that occurs on Friday, November 19, 2021 at 28 Taurus.  This lunar eclipse is sandwiched between the fixed stars Caput Algol (off with your head) and Alcyone (something to cry about), so it is intense, especially as the eclipse is ruled by Venus in Capricorn. Eclipse energy is highly potent.  If you know your chart, look at the house with Taurus on the cusp, and this will reveal the areas of life that will be influenced.

The sign of Taurus has to do with resources, money, and values. These are subjects are often activated with an eclipse in the sign of the bull.  Since astrology is an instructive language, this eclipse tells us that we need to look at how we manage our financial matters, how we obtain goods, and what is important to us.  I have long believed that our checkbooks reveal where our true values lie, because it is a ledger of what we purchase and where we spend our funds.

Since this eclipse is conjoined two negative fixed stars, we can expect financial woes to be headline news and potentially further problems with the supply chain. We can also expect political infighting related to money to become increasingly tense. 

So, word to the wise – get your shopping done early this holiday season.

We start the week off with the Sun forming a square to Jupiter in Aquarius. Now, despite the aspect Jupiter attempts to expand any planet he contacts, which is a good thing.  Sun-Jupiter lets you go for the gusto and achieve whatever you desire, as long as you stay focused and don’t get too carried away.  However, you need to remember that the nature of Sun square Jupiter is to take things to extremes, and this can potentially lead to conflicts and burnout.  With Sun square Jupiter, it’s always best to be mindful of other people’s perspectives and try to avoid letting your ego run the show.  Self-importance is a color that’s never looked good on anyone.

The solar energy from yesterday continues today as the Sun sextiles Pluto. Sun sextile Pluto is an aspect of reform.  It’s an excellent day to make changes in your life, especially in areas that have been challenging. So, if you need to repair something broken in your life, now is the time to do it. You may also find that you are taking life more seriously, and this will help you make changes that ultimately improve your situation and make your life more manageable. Although Pluto likes to tear down things that are not working, and this can be troubling and painful, he always replaces them with things that are more viable and sustainable in the future.

Last week, we had the tumultuous buildup of Mercury-Mars-Saturn, and Mercury late last week transferred that frustration and tension to Uranus in Taurus.  In astrologese, this is called ‘translation of light’.  Since Mercury rules communication and thoughts, he has given Uranus plenty of time to brew, and may have ignited an urge to break free of any constraints that you have in your life. Today, explosive Mars joins the show as he opposes Uranus. 

Mars oppose Uranus is a volatile aspect, and you may need to control your temper and pay close attention to your reactions.  If you feel restricted or confined in any way, there may be a need to break free.  However, if you decide to make changes, you may experience push back from those around you.  Unhealthy and toxic situations may come to a head while this aspect is active. Stay on guard!

After the intensity of Mars oppose Uranus, today may be a sigh of relief as Mercury trines Neptune in Pisces. You may feel the need to pull away from life’s difficulties and focus on doing things to maintain your soul. Self-care, meditation, and connecting with your inner self is recommended. You may even find that you are empathetic to other people, even if you disagree with them. Another way to work with Mercury trine Neptune is through creative projects. You will find your imagination is more active than normal, while this aspect is active.

On Saturday, Mercury in Scorpio forms a square to lucky Jupiter. Mercury-Jupiter aspects are optimistic, fun loving, perfect for conversations, and completing business deals. Since this aspect is a square, which can always cause minor complications or annoyances, make sure you read all the fine print before making a decision or signing documents.  Check and verify everything!

Another noteworthy feature of Mercury-Jupiter aspect is its ability to plan and foresee the big picture. So, it’s excellent for developing strategies and creating long-term goals.

It’s an auspicious day to get to the bottom of a situation and discover the truth, and the truth can be both internal and external. Your mind will work like a detective digging beneath the surface to find the facts necessary to support your cause.  Since this is a helpful Mercury-Pluto aspect, you may find that people are more receptive to your thoughts, opinions, and ideas because your motives are to understand, not to control. But still, be mindful and choose your words wisely.

The astrology and horoscope forecast for the week beginning June 7, 2021, features a solar eclipse in Gemini, Mars moving into Leo, and a befuddling Sun square Neptune.

But let’s begin with the obvious – Mercury is retrograde in Gemini until June 22.

Even though Mercury is moving again, albeit slowly, we will continue to experience Mercury retrograde issues.  Expect problems with communication, electronic devices, plans, and it’s best to avoid signing documents or making decisions unless you have no other choice. 

Astrology Hot Spots

Solar Eclipse in Gemini:

This week we have a solar eclipse in the sign of Gemini.  Now ordinarily, solar eclipses usually affect heads of state, government leaders, high-powered corporate execs, and notable personalities on the world stage.  The good news is that solar eclipses are not as potent as lunar eclipses (In astrology, the Moon rules ordinary people). 

Since the sign of Gemini involves communication, during the eclipse, you may have difficulty communicating with others or getting your point across.  Further, you may have trouble understanding others as well. As with all eclipses, it is recommended that you slow down, practice self-care, and hydrate.  Since the eclipse is square Neptune, I would also recommend avoiding alcohol and mood-altering substances.  The solar eclipse happens on Thursday at 6:53 AM EST.

Mars in Leo:

This week, Mars moves out of Cancer and into fiery Leo.  In astrology, Mars is in his fall in Cancer, so he will appreciate moving into a sign more to his liking – and so will you!  If your ‘get up and go’ has been broken over the last six weeks or you have been less energetic than usual, Mars in Leo will help you get your mojo back.

Mars in Leo is energetic, motivating, and likes to get things done.  This is one of Mars’s best placements if you need a jolt of courage (remember that cowardly lion in the Wizard of Oz?).  You may also find that your creative juices will flow steadily.  Mars does tangle with Saturn and Uranus while he is in Leo, but I will cover the astrology of that next month.

Mars remains in Leo until July 29.

Sun square Neptune:

Now and then, we all need a break, and Sunday is the day to do it since the Sun squares Neptune in Pisces.

In astrology, while the Sun is in Gemini, he likes to socialize, communicate with others, and share ideas and opinions.  But sometimes, we can go into information overload and just need a break, and Neptune is more than happy to oblige.

This weekend, you may have the urge to disconnect from the rest of the world, cancel plans, and do nothing of importance. Instead, you may want to spend the day resting, enjoying some music, or watching a movie.  Chilling will be your primary objective.

However, one bit of caution, avoid putting too much faith in the wrong people because they most likely will let you down.

Weekly Horoscopes

Aries:

Financial issues may be a concern at the beginning of the week but should be resolved quickly.  Communication issues with close friends or siblings may surface during the solar eclipse, leaving you bewildered and confused.  However, your mojo should return on Friday when your ruler Mars moves into Leo. Do something that you enjoy and pleases you this weekend.

Taurus:

At the beginning of the week, you may need to make your desires a priority with the Moon moving through your solar 1st house. Towards the middle of the week, your finances may be a concern as the solar eclipse triggers your financial sector. Expect unresolved family issues to surface this weekend when Mars switches signs, but you will find that you have the upper hand. If someone asks to borrow money, think twice because they probably won’t pay you back.

Gemini:

Gemini, even you may experience information overload and may need to disconnect and rest at the beginning of the week, but do not fret; your social needs will bounce back on Friday when Mars moves into Leo.  The solar eclipse this week occurs in your solar 1st house and reflects a new cycle for you.  Release the old and embrace the new.  On Sunday, don’t trust everything you see or hear.

Cancer:

 The solar eclipse this week may cause unresolved personal issues to resurface. You may feel confused and uncertain about the steps you need to take to resolve your problems.  The good news is that the strong focus in your solar 11th house means that a supportive friend or colleague may come to your rescue.  On Friday, as Mars moves into Leo, a burst of energy in the financial sector of your horoscope may brighten the next six weeks.

Leo:

Minor career disruptions may crop up at the beginning of the week, leaving you feeling annoyed, but this rain cloud will pass relatively quickly. The eclipse occurs in your solar 11th house, and you may need to make changes to your crew, especially when it becomes apparent that there is a snake in your midst. Virgo:

Sagittarius:

Astrology Horoscopes for the Week of May 10, 2021 – May 16, 2021

This week, the bulk of the astrology forecast occurs over a three-day window beginning on Tuesday and ending on Thursday.  The two biggest features are Jupiter moving out of Aquarius and into his sign of Pisces and a New Moon in Taurus, the sign of the bull.

Let’s start with the big kahuna, Jupiter in Pisces…

Jupiter in Pisces

This week Jupiter says goodbye (at least temporarily) to the sign of Aquarius and movies into Pisces until July 28th when he will return to the sign of the water bearer.

Pisces is the sign associated with collective dreams, but what does that even mean?

Well, we all have dreams and not just when we go to sleep.  We have visions of how we would like our lives to be. WE have dreams about a perfect world and a perfect society. Some of us even have dreams of a perfect cheesecake – mine is raspberry flavored.  But there are dreams that are bigger than individual dreams, they are the collective visions and aspirations of nations, groups, generations (current, previous, and those no longer with us), and even political parties. All dreams and collective visions are governed by the sign of Pisces.

Jupiter is the planet of expansion and when he dives into the deep waters of Pisces, those collective dreams of a perfect world will become a predominant theme over the next year.  Carl Jung (one of the pioneers of modern psychology) believed that everyone’s dreams and aspirations add to the whole, and it is this energy that is at the deepest core of Pisces, and the actions we take as individuals decide whether those dreams solidify into tangible realities. So, it’s a great time to focus on our higher aspirations, what we would like to see happen in our lives and in the world in the future.  According to the kabbalists, the most powerful force in the universe is unity (another lovely Piscean word) but to effectively create change, we all need to do our part to uplift and inspire a better tomorrow by beginning to dream — and DREAM BIG!

New Moon in Taurus

The New Moon this month lands in the sign of Taurus. Taurus is about prosperity, money, and self-worth. So, getting control over your finances, planting seeds for financial stability, and improving your self-image are constructive ways to work with this month’s New Moon, especially if you do intention or magical work

This month the New Moon makes only favorable aspects to Neptune and Pluto.  The Moon’s sextile to Neptune softens Taurus’s outer shell and provides opportunities to connect on a deeper level in relationships, and it allows you to become more sensitive to the emotional needs of others.  Whereas the trine to Pluto helps you stand in your own power and gives you the moxie to make changes that are necessary. Overall, this is a gentle New Moon, and it may be a bit of cosmic relief before eclipse season begins at the end of the month.

Aries

The New Moon falls in your solar second house highlighting your finances and personal resources. There may be a chance to improve your financial situation through new career opportunities. Conversations with friends may provide you with the support necessary to level up.

Taurus

Focusing on your personal ambitions may be key as the New Moon sets up shop in your solar first house. You may find help and assistance through your friends and associates who are more sensitive to your needs this week. Gemini
