The other newsmaker this week is the New Moon in Scorpio.  This New Moon is tricky because it’s in an exact opposition to Uranus in Taurus. Uranus is the planet of freedom, and this New Moon is excellent if you want to shake things up and reboot your life.  It’s especially helpful for ridding yourself of energies, people, or situations that have been holding you back.  Sometimes, to have a new beginning, you need to completely leave the past behind. There is a warning with this New Moon: don’t play with Uranus, make sure you want dynamic change before activating this planetary energy.

Friday gives us two sign changes – Venus moves into Capricorn, and Mercury leaves Libra and enters Scorpio.

During the morning hours, Venus moves into stable Capricorn. It’s time to leave the fun and adventure behind and live in the real world. Since Capricorn is a traditional sign, Venus loves the comforts and stability the sign of the goat provides. While Venus is in Capricorn, it’s the time of year for us to look at our responsibilities and duties in our relationships and make adjustments when necessary. Moreover, the more ‘work’ we put into our relationships, the more fulfilling they will ultimately be.

Later in the evening, Mercury makes a sign change when he moves into Scorpio.  Mercury in Scorpio is the detective placement of the zodiac. It gives you the ability to see beneath the surface and resolve problems you may have. Mercury – Pluto is also keen to get to the truth, especially if secrets lurk in the closet somewhere.
