Your Daily Dose – December 5, 2016 – Void Moon in Aquarius

voidmoonToday, we get an astrological day off because the Moon will spend most of the day void of course in Aquarius.

The void of course Moon is a little tricky because it reflects a period when any activity performed will result to nothing.

Zilch.

Nada.

Nothing comes of the matter.

During this the void of course Moon it is not recommended to sign documents, make firm plans or agreements, or start anything new.

The void of course Moon is a great time to do something where the results are non-consequential.  For example, it is a great time to send in your tax returns because the chances of you being audited is minimized.  This is an opportune time to have difficult conversations where you would like the reaction to be minimal or non-existent. So, if you want to avoid arguments, now would be the time to do so because regardless of the reactions, minimal lasting results will occur.

Be amazing.

Your Daily Dose — December 3, 2016 — Mars sextile Saturn

christmas-projectsCan you believe the Christmas holidays are almost upon us?

I can’t.

It seems like yesterday; Jacki Smith and I were planning content for our radio show Keep it Magic for 2016.  This week we will record our episodes for the final month of the year, December.

The year sure did go by fast, but unsurprisingly, I say that every year.

This weekend we are astrologically greeted with a beneficial aspect between Mars in Aquarius and Saturn in Sagittarius.  This aspect is fantastic for getting things accomplished that needs attention to detail, focus, and patience.  So, any projects that you need to accomplish before the holidays can be completed now when the combined energies of Mars and Saturn will assist you in getting things done.  Mars sextile Saturn will be especially beneficial to the fire (Aries, Leo, and Sagittarius) and air (Gemini, Libra, and Aquarius) signs.

In other astrological news, the Moon will move into Aquarius on Saturday afternoon.   Aquarius is a social sign that loves groups and acquaintances.  This weekend is a great time to go out and socialize or network with others especially on Sunday afternoon when the Moon sextiles the Sun.

Your Daily Dose – Friday, December 2, 2016 – Mercury Moves into Capricorn

ydd11152016Mercury moves out of fiery Sagittarius and into career-oriented Capricorn.  It’s time to settle down from the intense astrological energies of the last few months, and focus on building structure and foundation in your life to create a sustainable future.  Career matters and obligations will be important during this cycle, and if you are an earth sign, this is a great opportunity for you to shine and perhaps propel yourself to the next level.

Mercury changes signs in the 4th house of the world chart signifying that family matters, our homes, and our need for security may be predominant over the next several weeks as Mercury has an extended stay in the sign of Capricorn since it goes retrograde on December 17th.  If you need to finish up projects or any plans that require strategic thinking, the first part of December is the best time to get it done.

In other astrological news, the Moon forms rather intensive aspects to both Uranus and Pluto. Emotionally, you may feel a bit anxious and unsettled as intense feelings come to the surface.  Aries, Cancer, Libra and Capricorn need to be on guard.

Your Daily Dose – December 1, 2016 — Mars Trine Jupiter

optimism

Finally, an energy that everyone can enjoy — Mars trine Jupiter.

Mars trine Jupiter is an extremely positive aspect for just about anything.  It’s great for business, it’s excellent for starting new projects, resolving legal matters and disputes, competition, and creative endeavors.  Traditional astrology describes Mars trine Jupiter as a lucky aspect, but in reality, we are just more aware of opportunities as they are presented to us, and are able to take advantage of them accordingly.  Further, Mars trine Jupiter is a fantastic time to put your best self forward or to pursue your agenda.

If you need to take a risk, now is the time to do so.

Your Daily Dose – November 29, 2016 – New Moon in Sagittarius

ydd11292016Relationships run the world, and we all have them.

We have relationships with our parents, children, business partners, friends, the communication we live in, and oh yes, our significant others.

Some of them are light and filled with fun and enjoyment, and others are confusing and frustrating.  But, there is one thing for sure, our relationships with others undeniably change us.

This week the New Moon occurs in Sagittarius.  As I’ve mentioned before, I love this sign because Sagittarius is all about potential, possibility, and the big picture.  This is an excellent time to set goals and work towards our personal objectives, and Sagittarius has a natural tendency to view life positively and optimistically.

The natural energy of the sign of the archer is what gives birth to holiday cheerfulness and goodwill.  Sagittarius is simply infectious.

The New Moon lands in the 8th house nof the world chart.  The eighth house is a little perplexing because of its association with the sign of Scorpio, but it has to do with our unconscious complexes that are activated by our relationships.  So, when you put these two ideas together, this New Moon is about how our relationships change us and ultimately fit into our big picture.

The New Moon forms a conjunction to Saturn and a square to Neptune in Pisces, which activates the Saturn-Neptune square that has been occurring for over a year.  It also forms a lovely sextile to Mars in Aquarius that is nestled in the 11th house (friends, associates, groups) of the world chart.  The positive takeaway (who needs to focus on the negative?) is that it’s time for us to question the purpose of our relationships and be honest with ourselves about our relationship motives.   This allows us to view relationships from a balanced perspective and helps us see where certain relationships fit into our big picture plan.  Our relationships should be in balance like everything else in our lives.   It may ultimately be time to give value to relationships that no longer serve our greater good by letting go of them; knowing that they have changed us into who we are today, and are the catalyst for our creating a better future for ourselves.  Additionally, it’s also time to celebrate relationships that are of value to us and make a point to nourish them further.

All New Moons are magic and intention moments.  It is my belief that New Moons reflect energies that we need to bring into our lives.   Use this time to work on ‘big picture’ relationships and infuse them with the alchemical properties needed to enrich your life with value and meaning.
